My great consern here is that I truely hope all thiis people know how dangerous the smoke can be, not many where wearing masks.. and theyr footwear is not the best where the lava is hottest. Thank you kindly for sharing this with us all.. Be safe everyone Greetings from Sweden

Yes you are right. A lot of smoke was created from burning mosses and lichens. It's very dry now and the wind has caused the fires.
