I'm trying my hardest to figure out why hidden fasteners (clips) shouldn't be used on decks lower than 30". Any thoughts?

I am completely baffled by that statement as well. He just dropped that with no explanation. Makes no sense to me.

seems opposite. The higher the deck the more lateral resistance from screws would be useful.?
