Whereas everyone else has an arsenal of Jutsu. Ichigo is even worse. All he used were Flash Step, Getsuga Tenshou and the Hollow mask.

    You said so eloquently why Season 2 is so damn good. It was already my favorite season (I haven't seen season 4 yet, so that may change), and at least was able to say I liked it so much because its focus was more on character development and interactions. Everyone was changing here and becoming closer together. They made new friends and rivals in the new teams, the start of seriously great friendships. We saw them hanging out and acting like regular teenagers more beyond their club (you have no idea how much I freaked when I saw Hinata and Kenma were texting each other -- I can name on one hand how many big anime that supposedly take place in the present day actually have characters do something as casual and normal as text each other if it wasn't plot-relevant; nobody does it just because that's what teens do; you could cut that scene out and lose nothing plotwise), and learn from those around them. It was heartwarming, hilarious, and just so damn good of a watch.

    Ik this video is 2 years old, but I just gotta say, Haikyuu is the BEST show I’ve ever seen to handle the concept of growth. Season 2 highlights it the most, but throughout the whole series you see the characters develop little by little.
    Many shows don’t have very much growth in their characters at all, and many times it goes unnoticed. I think this is because, in life, people don’t want to acknowledge change, but in sports, it’s expected. Players are meant to improve their skills, and meant to develop connections to their teammates. They’re supposed to evolve to overcome what’s before them, therefore, the people around them are forced to acknowledge the change. It always brings a reaction from the other characters, and the viewers are satisfied because they could see behind the scenes and knew all along.
    I think Haikyuu has a great setup for this kind of growth-driven story, it being a sports anime, and builds up from that to deliver some of the best development I’ve seen, whether that be improvement of skills or in growth of character.
    What’s best of all (to me at least) is that they use the growth that the characters have made in practice to get the viewers HYPE for the matches. You get to see everything they’ve worked on come together, strengthening the team, and you get to see the reaction of opponents and observers. You never know how a match will end, but you always know it’s gonna be good. (Season 3 does this so well)
    So, if you’re not yet convinced to watch haikyuu, I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed. Go watch it.
    (You have no idea how hard it was to not spoil anything lol)

    • @majora5651
      @majora5651 Před 4 lety +5

      I wouldn’t say that, even though I absolutely loved season 2, the third one kept me way more on the edge of my seat. The amazing excitement it build, the inclusion of beloved characters, although they weren‘t playing (speaking about iwaizumi and oikawa) and the stunning music that was chosen made season 3 almost my favourite of the show. (I must admit I do slightly like the second better as well, simply because it felt a lot more lighthearted) I wasn‘t disappointed with it at all!

      @@majora5651 yea when i got into season 3 it was good like you said it eventually it was like almost up there but it was also kinda of like they really jumped into season 3 immediately with the game while some people of course had to wait between season 2 and 3 didnt and kinda needed a brake from the hype so to say as season 2 was so impactfull and then jump into the impactfull season 3 then its hard to keep that hype going for so long

    • @majora5651
      @majora5651 Před 4 lety +1

      stefan broers Well yeah that‘s true. Actually I would‘ve liked it too if they did some kind of story or training thingy like they did with the start of season two, but I guess that wasn‘t possible since timeline wise season three takes place the day after the second ended

    I dont think so. The most important moments where when every one in the training camp decide to risk the team play and balance for evolving and ofc the last point vs shiratorizawa

    • @massman1216
      @massman1216 Před 4 lety

      Drago Djordje why do you think they risk that so they could evolve? Because they were still weak, losing that match showed them that and so they did whatever they could to improve, if they won that game they for sure wouldnt of gotten into nationals I can practically promise you that
