I live in Hamburg, Germany, and all the years I have lived here I have only met ONE other person who regularly watched Latin American Telenovelas. My wife at least watched "La Viuda de Blanco" (the remake) together with me - but that was years ago.

I didn't truly learn it watching La Fea, Más Bella years ago. But it helped with cadence and trying to understand fast talkers. I also watched Despierta America, but that was when Ana Canseco was on the show; as well as Hoy, but also because of Natalia Téllez.

My favorite telenovela years ago was Mi Picena Treavisa. Excellent, humorous series starring Michell Vieth. Helped greatly in understanding spanish.

Telenovelas and some movies are great for learning. They have common phrases you won't get in classes.. I put on the subtitles in Spanish to help when the speech goes too fast for me. Rosario Tijeras (I like the Columbian version best sorry), El Señor de los Cielos ..

I watch so many CZcams channels for learning spanish and I still can't remember anything i learned,i forget so fast
Hi! Listening/reading a lot is super important, but to make sure you don’t forget any of that Spanish, we recommedn the full 4 steps of Conversation Based Chunking:
1. Listen and read as much as possible
2. Pay extra attention to the chunks
3. Make flashcards to memorize the most important chunks (so you don’t forget them anymore)
4. Then speak Spanish with everything you’ve learned :)

Soy camerunés, y gracias a las telenovelas, hablo y entiendo perfectamente la lengua Española. De hecho, aquí en África subsahariana (principalmente en países con lengua francesa como lengua oficial), se sube varías novelas de Latinoamérica (mexicanas, Colombianas, venezolanas, Brasileñas etc.)
Pero las que tienen más éxito son las mexicanas a mi parecer.
Recuerdo en el 2015, el canal que se llama NOVELAS TV, subía novelas de Telemundo y de Televisa (novelas dobladas en francés).
Las novelas de Televisa que si cautivaron a muchos en mi país, y que en todos los países de lengua Francesa son : Marimar, La Madrastra, Teresa, Rubí, Un Camino hacia el destino, Vino el amor, Triunfo del amor entre otras.
Hay historias de Telemundo como : La Patrona, El Cuerpo del deseo, Una maid en Manhattan, La casa de al lado, Corazón valiente, Los Miserables, La Doña, Más sabe el diablo etc, que si fueron impactantes.
Recomiendo mirar novelas para aprender la lengua Española, eso sí les va a ayudar mucho. Gracias por el video. Aún sigo aprendiendo el español, y gracias a eso quiero ser un Traductor en el futuro.

Bueno, como Mexico no hay otro, amo mi Mexico lindo asi que todos mis amigos son de allá pero también me encantan las novelas Colombianas como "La Hija de Mariachi", "La pasión de los gavilanes", "La Reina del Flow", etc. Hace años me gustaba una titulada "Amor del Bueno" de Venezuela. Por supuesto, haberle dicho eso, el problema es que hablan un español diferente del cual a veces no agarro la onda. Muchas gracias, maestra!

La Madrastra, 15 years later watching all 120 episodes con mi Esposa. It did help with quicker comprehension and vocabulary.

Creo que las telenovelas deberían (en algunos casos) tener subtítulos explicando algunas expresiones regionales del país del que son originarias ... Parece broma pero, es cierto jeje
Eugenio Derbez creó un personaje (obviamente para hacer comedia XD) llamado Hans Pujenheimer XD y muestra segmentos de telenovelas mexicanas en las que se emplean frases que ni los que hablamos español entendemos XD, como por ej.: "¡me dejaste con el Jesús en la boca!" (imagino que quería decir: "te fuiste y me dejaste hablando solo/a", "me dejaste con las palabras en la boca"), "hice que me soltara toda la sopa/le saqué toda la sopa" (esa sí oí a un mexicano decir que significa que "hizo que le contara todo") XD

I watched a couple of videos about your program and it looked very interesting. I really like the idea of chunking. I watched about 10 minutes of the guy explaining the program (too long, too boring) and clicked on yes, I want to try the program. I signed up by putting in my email and then was sent a password. It was very hard to remember it and after putting it in 3 times w/o success, I copied and pasted. Each of these times I was told there was an error and then was told to reset password. Went through the steps, still unsucessful so I think it's a sign this is not going to be a good website for interacting. Moving on...
