About the Show

Yolanda was an amazing model and she knows exactly what the industry wants, she helped and supported her girls. It seems harsh when u look at it but she really knew what was best for them, and eating sugar cake is not something that is gonna help your modeling career.
Are you just as dumb as her? Eating cake ONE TIME isn’t gonna make you as big as Amberlynn Reid over night. Eating it 24/7 is a problem, there’s no need to diet 365 days a year, just eat right and treat yourself once every blue moon and you’ll be fine.

@@stolbobo7103 growing up my mom would not allow me to have cane sugar, and soda either. Now, i dont have sweet craving, the bubble in soda hurt my throat. It much easier to control your appetize when you have a very simple palatte. I had thyroid problem a few years back and the doctor was so surprise because I havent gain any weight at all like most people. He think because of my eating habit. Im forever thankful for that. Parents doing things that they think it best for their children, ultimately, I see Gigi still stuff her mouth with a big chunk of cake and Yolanda is totally fine with that.

I saw Gigi for the first time at the Grammy Museum concert with Yolanda and David Forster (for a Seal concert). She was absolutely stunning, tall and thin. I was sitting 2 seats away from them. She was gorgeous and very sweet. She definitely made an impression on me not just because of her looks. It is nice to see well behaved young girls without bad attitude.

amanda murphy yes but building healthy habits includes allowing yourself to splurge once in a while. She literally told her not to eat her own cake at her grad party. That isn’t normal. My mom was a big time model and I modeled for five years. Gigi has to convince Yolanda to allow her a slice. That’s weird. Trust me. You can have a damn good body and eat a decent slice of cake in a while. I’m 120 lbs and 5’10 and I’m planning on getting a frozen yogurt this afternoon with friends.

I watched the RHOBH and actually found Yolanda to be a very loving and caring mother. I don’t know her personally of course, but to accuse her of being a bad mom, as many do in the comments, is pretty cruel. She did a lot for her children and yes, she was strict on Gigi’s eating habits, but Gigi would not have been so extremely successful as a model if it wasn’t for Yolanda’s guidance. Sure, most moms don’t tell their children to watch what they eat and work out every day. But then again, most children don’t end up being a model with an estimated net worth of $30 million.

I totally agree with Yolanda on letting your kids go is HARD! By far the hardest thing I have ever done. My daughter went to Africa over 7 months ago and I think about her everyday. Where did the time go! Now she is an adult living across the world. Letting go is the hardest thing to do as a parent.

The cake scene reminded me of my mom! I’m not aloud to eat sugar or crabs at all and we are not allowed to have dessert unless it’s a special occasion, even then I’m not supposed to! Honestly, reading from the comments about Yolanda being a “control freak” she is just very concerned over her daughter. In my experience growing up especially during puberty I started to eat like alot and my parents would encourage me to do so bc they thought oh thats ok she needs to so she can grow up. I started to get thicker and thicker. And now I have a damn muffin top 😂, thats hard to get rid of. I wish my parents would of been more careful and watched out for me. Gigi and Bella is nice person. They have both beautiful face and heart. Everytine i see them i always happy for them
