Good idea using polyurethane to preserve the vintage look.
Can't help think you should have wired an earth in since it's metal.

jakezburns yeah. I agree I probably should have put on earth on there with the metal fixture like that but I just used the cords I had on hand. I’ll probably end up swapping them out at some point.
