X-LINE nonstop | Saalbach-Hinterglemm

- A full, non-stop, raw POV lap on the famous "X-Line" on the Schattberg in Saalbach, Austria. This is a 6-kilometer downhill trail with over 1.000 meters of elevation change!
It saw some changes in the top half making it less puncture-prone than in the past. The second half is still natural and rough as ever.

Geiler run... vor allem nach der Mittelstation stark gefahren. Unten rechts hinter dem Wald fahren (inkl. mega river gap) ist eigentlich noch geiler, als links um den Wald
Meinst du die Abzweigung rechts bei 11:17 ?
Hatte mich schon gefragt, wo's da hingeht. Klingt cool!

@@SuspensionTraveler Neee. Stückchen weiter unten. 11:48 geht´s in Deoinem Film rechts weg und ist meine absolute lieblingsstrecke mit dem besten Rivergap in Saalbach. Muss einfach nur rüberrollen und es gibt spitzen Bilder. Immer noch ein Geheimtipp, weil jeder geradeaus ballert ;) Cheers... Guido Heuber ... Ich hoffe, dass ich auch eines Tages die X-Line fahren kann! Bis Leogang habe ich es bereits geschafft und das war für mich bisher Bike-technisch das Highlight!
Dann wär Saalbach eh nicht mehr weit!
Es is definitiv einen Trip wert. Und man kann sogar (etwas mühselig) nach Leogang rüber radeln.

@@SuspensionTraveler Devinci seemed to have their heyday in the 2000s but seemed to have been overlooked in worldwide markets since. My best description is its like my YZ450. It gets you into a lot of scary situations but if you look ahead at where you want to go and hang on it all comes right again. Heart beats faster then you do it all again 😀

Devinci still makes good bikes tho from what I can tell. Not sure if they still have a factory world cups race team still, that might have hurt their brand awareness.

Ja, absolut. Besonders mir der magnetischen Halterung. Kein herum schrauben und Winkel finden mehr.
Bildquali is auch ein Wahnsinn und die Stabilisierung bügelt alles weg. Manchmal überleg ich sie zu reduzieren, damits nicht wie Drohnenaufnahmen aussieht :D Aber is so vermutlich angenehmer anzusehen. Akkulaufzeit passt auch, da häng ich das modulare Power Pack immer wieder dran im Lift.
Nur wenn im Wald schwierige Lichtverhältnisse sind, find ich die Strecke schwierig zu erkennen. Da hilf ich mit Farbkorrektur nach.

Offen gesagt, nicht so tragisch wie erwartet.
Die obere Hälfte ist deutlich smoother geworden und auf den Schotterstraßen und Northshore-Brücken kann man immer wieder ausruhen (sehen im Video ja kürzer aus)
Auf jeden Fall einen Versuch wert ;)

The fAIRy line starts at 4:11 if you take the other trail there. Seems that the first chapter is wrongly described.
I agree, the new track labels are confusing. As per the official track map, the top section now belongs to the new fAIRy Trail. Presumably because of the intermediate difficulty.
Still, that top bit is obviously the same for both tracks. They only split at 4:11 and connect again before exiting the woods.
I adjusted the timestamps.
Gut gefahren, aber wo genau ist denn jetzt der neue Abschnitt? Die Fairy Line hast du gleich als ersten Abschnitt, aber das ist doch der normale Zubringertrail. 🤔
Die X-Line an sich hat sich nicht wirklich verändert, was ich beurteilen kann. Nur der Teil ab 5:54 läuft mit der Fairy Line zusammen und ist neu geshaped bis zum Waldausgang.
Die Fairy Line ist die neue rote, die von der Bergstation bis zur Mittelstation geht. (Video am Weg). Bei 4:08 schlängelt sie sich weiter runter und geht dann in den Wald über Steilkurven und kleine Tables.
Bei 5:21 kommt sie kurz raus und geht dann wieder ähnlich im Wald weiter. Bei 7:03 gibt's eine neue Chicken Line links vom steilen Stück vorbei.
Der Zubringertrail bis zum ersten Waldstück ist für beide Strecken gleich, und gehört laut Streckenkarte zur Fairy Line. Passend weil nicht wirklich schwarz. Sorgt aber für Verwirrung.
@@SuspensionTraveler Achso dann sind bei den 6,5 km schon der bekannte Zubringerteil mit dabei, also nicht wirklich ein neuer Trail. Schade
