- From the city streets of Detroit to the farms of northern Michigan to the beaches of California's coast, singer songwriter Joe Reilly shares his love for life in this song that gently reminds us to come back to the present moment, breathe, and smile with those around us. Joe uses elements of folk music, hip-hop, poetry, and mindfulness to build inclusive community and celebrate our interdependence.
Joe is part of the Earthwork Music Collective, a community of musicians that believes in the intrinsic and historical power of music to raise both community and self-awareness and serves to facilitate and encourage original music in the state of Michigan and beyond. Joe is also a student of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and wrote this song while on retreat at Plum Village, a community of mindful living in southern France.
Visual artist Nathan Meadows followed Joe through his travels and performances in Michigan and California to artfully depict this video collage.

I just come here from some songs of Yen and Plum Village (Thay Thich Nhat Hanh). Such a wonderful song. English is not my mother tongue but the lyric is so easy to understand. The melody is soothing. This song remind us of coming back ourselves to realize the treasure of life - breathing. Please be mindfulness in every moment of this life. Happy a nice day all ❤
