All kinds of permits are required to build a barn and a reputable contractor wouldn't start the project without them.
Exactly...The firs story about the barn....What a Crock o f Crap. There is such a thing as property lines.Get a Survey done, and its over before it even gets started...
All contractors like this that I know of, requires VERY accurate propery line surveys ESPECIALLY when building something near said lines.
They do NOT want to be any part in anything like this.
Not everywhere certain counties in nc don't need permits for farm or livestock buildings
@@davidritter1059 I will take your word for it, but if this story is true (which I doubt) the "barn" was intended to be an entertainment barn--intended for human occupation (temporary, but human occupation, as if it were a theater) and it would definitely require permits and code inspection. Second, even for farm or livestock buildings, you can't just build it on someone else's land.
One question
Why didn't OP in the first story not tell the building company that
A) they were building on private land
B) If they did not stop OP would hold both them and karen for everything
Once they were told that they had no right to build there they should have stopped until the matter was resolved
By not doing so they should also be held liable for their incompetent actions
Because it’s fake. Every story from this channel has a weird like, “I vowed to get justice and blah blah blah” at the end that’s written like something out of a novel. If it was maybe a few stories, sure, but every single one?? Not every single person writes like that and it just feels so forced and fake.
Also, the OP of that story says something like, “Another lawyer would have told me to settle…” Excuse me what?? What competent lawyer would want to settle this case when there’s iron clad proof that the neighbor was in the wrong? All it would take is going to court, showing the judge what land you own, show how Karen is obviously building on your land without your permission, and bam! Easy freaking peasy!
Another’s thing: the stories always have a, “justice was served, but this was far from over” thing where the person in the wrong ends up doing some crazy shit to the OP.

@@alexandriav3956 There are some lawyers who only do things like uncontested [whatever] because they don't like getting in a real legal battle. Also, a lot of people don't know how common professional incompetence really is. Once you rule out the bottom 20% of lawyers, the price doesn't correlate with quality at all. There's an assumption among leadership that expensive options are that way because they are worth it, but that's not really true.
Good luck finding sanctuary in an HOA, especially with a Karen for a neighbor. Great stories, Ripe.

I would have sued all parties the construction company Karen and the HOA. And the reason you can sue the HOA is because they did not take your complaint seriously. By doing so they allowed this travesty of criminal behavior to proceed

That first story sound like BS to anyone else? The OP hand-delivered a legal cease-and-desist letter to Karen? It took months to build a freaking barn? Nothing about the trees that were (no doubt) cut down to make space for the barn? The contractors building where Karen said to build, not where the permits said they should build? If the contractors didn't get the required permits and surveys done, no mention of them getting sued out of business?

The loud Karen neighbor finally learned a valuable lesson. It took six months in jail and anger management therapy and losing her husband and sons, but she understood she had been wrong.
The last story showed that some people are unable to remain human when they are put in an authority role. Being on time is important, but it applies to everyone and not a few. Judging from the dislike of the guy by the teacher, it seems being power hungry was the guy's natural behavior.

First it sounds like OP has a big spread. Then it turns out that this barn built on the property line is just yards from their back deck and there's a HOA in effect, and the neighbors are so close he can hear them yelling when he is inside his house with the windows closed. Also, the permit and property line issues that others have pointed out! And I thought there was a band of trees along the sides of OP's property, so how is Karen sitting at home glaring at OP? This tale has more holes than Swiss cheese has.

Depending on wind direction, I would have turned the barn into a pig barn with LOTS of pigs! Karen may have enjoyed the smell because she sure caused a stink herself.

Its another case of why did the OP not call the cops immediately for trespassing at LEAST?
in cases like this cops will not do anything without solid proof showing them who is the rightful owner of the property, it has happened multiple time in stories similar to this one, no really there are other stories out there like this where a karen did something similar op called the cops and the cops did nothing at first cause op had no proof the property is theirs and in some of the worst case arrested op cause the karen had forged documents showing them as the owner

As to the third story ops employer and idiot coworker are lucky they weren't sued for sexual harassment. That co worker is lucky she wasn't fired. Her stupidity bit her in the but a d she ended up quiting so now she can't collect unemployment and will have to explain to any future employers what happened and will have a difficult time finding a new job.

The first story is BS. A simple plat would show the boundary of the land. Any construction company would check the plat long before breaking ground.

This story is complete BS. HOA over acreage ? Didn't call the HOA when the neighbor started building on his land? Partially built barn was new favorite gazebo spot but he let's it get overgrown after planting flowers and trees??? Not believe 1 word of this...
