We are performing this piece in a Brazilian marching band, High School Alberto Salotti, from São Paulo. A very difficult piece, but very interesting and impactful for an amateur group that increasingly seeks professionalism and musical quality in its performances.
'The day of the Lord' is a modern classic to my ears, I reckon Ponsford is a present day Eric Ball with his use of sound blocks and chording. can't stop playing it. wonderful sound from the ISB. thanks you tube.
