The email has to travel over a network to be processed by the sender’s e-post office, it must then travel through numerous networks that that introduce delay, must be processed by the receiver’s e-post office where it is time stamped based on arrival order and finally delivered to the receiver’s mailbox. I love catching up with you two ladies! I'm sorry to hear that not everyone understands how technology works and that pressing the button at 8am doesn't come with a guarantee. One of the factors that most don't realize is the speed of THEIR network at home can cause delays and how their sends get routed (kind of like the mail during covid) could be taking the long way to get there. Technology is a gift and a curse and there is always next time! I'm a believer in focusing on the positives in people and letting some of the negativity just roll on by.

I also have a problem with kitting up entirely too many projects (well, STARTING them too!) but I’m trying to focus on finishing samplers this summer and keeping up with the HATS Sarah Rinder stitch along. What a lovely flosstube. I live in Italy and I have never been to the Attic, but I think that your shop it's like a paradise! I wonder if, becausem unfortunately, many people are unable to come to visit you, wouldn't be nice to have the conference about Bristol Samplers, live on a platform, or recorded and then streamed, like a pay per view service? I don't know if this can be possible fro you, but I am sure that many stitchers around the world would be interested. Happy Stitching!

I visited this shop at the beginning of April while seeing our son at Luke AF base. It is huge!!! They have so many beautiful things! Our 3 kids all came with and found things they wanted mom to stitch😂. I can’t wait to go back again! I almost want to just send them my credit card number and say, put something pretty together for me! You can’t go wrong with anything there!

I'm a NEW subscriber, I just found your FlossTube today!! I've heard of your glorious store before by MANY other FlossTubers!! It IS beautiful! I just bought Lydia R Cohagen by Blackbird Designs. I saw it on your table in the beginning, but you did not talk about it nor show fabric or floss colors. Will you be showing that in a future video by chance? I'd love to see your interpretation of it and hear what color fabric you chose to stitch it on. I am only using DMC colors, the silks are too expensive for me....I HOPE I can get a nice looking finish out of it!!! Anyway, I am interested in hearing what you two have to say about it! You both just confirm my obsessions of starts and kitting!! I just keep buying new project bags to hold each one so now I had to buy a large shelf unit to hold them all and it’s full! How does it happen???? Always enjoy your flosstube and now I have a shopping list so can fill more project bags-lol

Your retreats are so very popular and I don't think it would matter how many you could accept, there would never be enough spaces...technology is what it is and no guarantee on when it arrives regardless of when we push the button. I have so enjoyed this video! I have just come back to cross stitching after about 25 years and am so inspired by all the wonderful charts available. I want to start a sampler but have been a little terrified! I do not know which one to begin with. I did purchase the chart for the Harriet Turner Humble Sampler but just for the wonderful flowers. Thank you both for showing all these fantastic samplers and charts. I hope you will continue to produce more from the "2 Tarts Start Society"!!!

I'm so sorry that more people could not attend; I do notice on my email account that there is a delay in just getting normal daily mail. The electronic age still needs some fixing 😊. I plan to "tart start" Teresa Kogut's Lincoln's Eagle. It will be a welcome addition to my military wall. Jean do NOT feel Bad. Not for a second. I also think this is the fairest way people can sign up for very popular retreats . As another gal commented many retreats the attendees get first dibs on signing up for the next one and that leaves precious few spots for anyone else to try for. I mean maybe there’s a way for the server to allow the emails thru. Talk to your IT person but I think it’s fine: I’ve not gotten in but hopefully one day I will :-) you guys are the best’ so fun to see you today ❤❤❤❤

I always look forward to your videos. I was super happy this morning to wake up and see you had a vid posted. A great way to start the day while getting ready for work. Question for you two experts...I would like to stitch more samplers, but sometimes there's a motif or two I don't like e.g. hearts, cross, words/sayings. How do you replace those with other motifs/words to get them the right size and fit? Hope that makes sense. If I have a butterfly I would like to use instead of a heart, but the butterfly I have is too big or too small, how do I chart it to make it smaller or larger? Also with words, too. A large letter to a small letter? Thank you.

I have to tell you, I was admiring how you did two samplers on the same piece of linen - I was thinking “oh what a great idea!” And then you said they’re not going to fit! 😢 I’m sure you’ll figure it out though and they’ll look terrific. I had forgotten that AZ doesn’t observe DST and is 2 hours behind where I live so I sent my email too early; and didn’t realize it until I received an email from Jean and I’m sure by then it was too late to get in.
I know you'd love to please all and I appreciate that there win always be limits for to size. PLEASE come up with a system or find a way to get exact times on the emails. Sending exactly to the dot on time, is disappointing. I'm really curious what time I "appeared"!
I noticed in the Seven Red Alphabet does not have all the letters. There's a lot of history on why this is so. If an alphabet is missing a letter or two it is the norm for that period when it was stitched. A lot of people want to add the missing letters to there stitching thinking that it is wrong when it was copied from the original. The letters sometimes left out are the I & J and U & V. sometimes the the V will come before the U. Just a little something to think about. Have a great week. Enjoy your channel very much. I detest kitting!! I just want to stitch! I don't want to have to cut and surge my fabric. I don't want to put my fabric in the frame to stitch. I don't have an LNS, so I have to order online. I can never find all the floss at one online shop. Ugh. I don't like kits because I don't want to have to separate floss. I like kits that shops put together with full skeins of floss. :)
No need to apologize. It depends on the speed of people's computers, servers, ...They can hit the button right at 8, but that can be routed from server after server after server around kingdom-come before coming through to you. Maybe just put all potential registrants in a random picker like the random comment picker on Google, and then the names that are randomly computer picked get in.

I just bought Lydia R Cohagen by Blackbird Designs. I saw it on your table in the beginning, but you did not talk about it nor show fabric or floss colors. Will you be showing that in a future video by chance? I'd love to see your interpretation of it and hear what color fabric you chose to stitch it on. I am only using DMC colors, the silks are too expensive for me....I HOPE I can get a nice looking finish out of it!!! Anyway, I am interested in hearing what you two have to say about it! I do hope to attend one of your wonderful events sometime in my lifetime but certainly wouldn’t be angry or upset if my email/entry didn’t get in immediately. 120 people in the first minute is amazing!! Your retreats are so very popular and I don't think it would matter how many you could accept, there would never be enough spaces...technology is what it is and no guarantee on when it arrives regardless of when we push the button. Have an amazing time at the retreat and I shall enjoy it vicariously through the recaps that people will show. Thanks as always and happy stitching.

I have so enjoyed this video! I have just come back to cross stitching after about 25 years and am so inspired by all the wonderful charts available. I want to start a sampler but have been a little terrified! I do not know which one to begin with. I did purchase the chart for the Harriet Turner Humble Sampler but just for the wonderful flowers.

Beautiful, gorgeous, superb...just a few of the words that came to mind while watching this. My wish list and must do list grew. I'm so sorry that more people could not attend; I do notice on my email account that there is a delay in just getting normal daily mail. The electronic age still needs some fixing 😊. I plan to "tart start" Teresa Kogut's Lincoln's Eagle. It will be a welcome addition to my military wall. I hope you both carve out some precious hours this Memorial Day weekend to stitch what you love.❤

Bad. Not for a second. I also think this is the fairest way people can sign up for very popular retreats . As another gal commented many retreats the attendees get first dibs on signing up for the next one and that leaves precious few spots for anyone else to try for. I mean maybe there’s a way for the server to allow the emails thru. Talk to your IT person but I think it’s fine: I’ve not gotten in but hopefully one day I will :-) you guys are the best’ so fun to see you today ❤❤❤❤

I always look forward to your videos. I was super happy this morning to wake up and see you had a vid posted. A great way to start the day while getting ready for work.
Question for you two experts...I would like to stitch more samplers, but sometimes there's a motif or two I don't like e.g. hearts, cross, words/sayings. How do you replace those with other motifs/words to get them the right size and fit? Hope that makes sense. If I have a butterfly I would like to use instead of a heart, but the butterfly I have is too big or too small, how do I chart it to make it smaller or larger? Also with words, too. A large letter to a small letter?

So many beautiful samplers!! I’m drooling on my phone. I have to tell you, I was admiring how you did two samplers on the same piece of linen - I was thinking “oh what a great idea!” And then you said they’re not going to fit! 😢 I’m sure you’ll figure it out though and they’ll look terrific.

I noticed in the Seven Red Alphabet does not have all the letters. There's a lot of history on why this is so. If an alphabet is missing a letter or two it is the norm for that period when it was stitched. A lot of people want to add the missing letters to there stitching thinking that it is wrong when it was copied from the original. The letters sometimes left out are the I & J and U & V. sometimes the the V will come before the U. Just a little something to think about. Have a great week. Enjoy your channel very much. I detest kitting!! I just want to stitch! I don't want to have to cut and surge my fabric. I don't want to put my fabric in the frame to stitch. I don't have an LNS, so I have to order online. I can never find all the floss at one online shop. Ugh. I don't like kits because I don't want to have to separate floss. I like kits that shops put together with full skeins of floss. :)
No need to apologize. It depends on the speed of people's computers, servers, ...They can hit the button right at 8, but that can be routed from server after server after server around kingdom-come before coming through to you.
Maybe just put all potential registrants in a random picker like the random comment picker on Google, and then the names that are randomly computer picked get in.
