I’m ordering this truck tomorrow and came across your videos; they are helping me so much!! I’m going full time RV later so this is so nice 👍🏻
Awesome, I have an F150 and I'm looking at campers too, the tent thing is getting old, lol.
"when you add me and Sam to that it's another 150 maybe 175." lol insert eye roll here. :):):)
This is a video that Ford needs to recommend to everyone with an F150, especially the 21 and 22. You guys spent a lot of time and money making this great video that makes the roads much safer if people learn this. I'm 75 and have towed a lot of trailers cross country with 1/2 ton trucks but never had a system like this. Nice, and much safer. Thx so much
My son, 8 years old, was walking by while I was watching this video and he said, "you have to support these guys, they have a cool truck!" I subscribed!!
The production quality of this was quite surprising! Well done guys!
@BackroadDriver did you have any issues with the rear hub bolt snapping on the max tow axle?
"I know that the echo boost is probably a better towing engine, but it doesn't sound like a V8"
Amen to that 👍
Great, you can be loud in the back of the pack! I'd rather have the better towing motor than the better sounding motor
Thanks for showing this! I ordered a f150 xl crew cab 2wd 5.0l with the heavy duty tow package.
I found out the hard way about the towing capacity of a 2019 F150 Ecoboost... The 13,000 lb capacity is only capable with a weight distribution system and without it, it's rated for 5000 lbs with a 500 lb tongue weight. Look up the towing guides on these vehicles and look closely at around some of the last pages where they have this information.
Newbie F150 limited ecoboost here. Thanks for the Golden nuggets. I plan on renting RVs as I am new to this. Getting the F150 ready for this with your information is appreciated. Takeaway; lifting bags and distribution system.
You 2 are cracking me up, I love it! Good information and thank you for the content👍
Thank you for this review. I'd be interested in learning more about your decision to go with a V8 after your 2015 Ecoboost. Were there any other reasons for the switch back to the old-school V8 besides "it sounds better"? I like the idea of Ecoboost's better mileage, but really am drawn to the V8's proven reliability over the long haul.
I subscribed. I need to look into those shocks for my new 2021 Lariat to tow my 6000lb trailer.
I subscribed. This is some of the best, smartest, and necessary information every single person should know and research BEFORE buying/hauling any trailer. Well done!!!!
I have a 2020 f150 with the 5.0 and 3.55 rear end. I haven’t pulled anything to heavy yet but hopefully will be getting a camper in the future. Enjoyed the video.
Would love to see the camera setup. I have that harness sitting here trying to figure out what to do with it!! I bought the 2021 Lariat Powerboost hoping the torque of the hybrid system would help my fuel mileage while towing my enclosed BBQ trailer. NOPE! Im getting 23-28mpg around town, still only about 9-10mpg on the hwy pulling the trailer.
i thought that kit was just to wire up your basic utility trailer with the new plug! I want a camera for my camper now!
Man what a great video guys! Super detailed and high quality. I’ve been looking for content just like this for my truck build. I have a ‘16 F150 with the 3.5 and max tow and I’ll be pulling a camper very similar to yours. Keep up the good work!
Don’t forget to comment RAS to be entered to win. Glad you found us Brian!
I subscribed. Been watching from the beginning while waiting for my truck. 302A Lead foot 5.0. Thanks for the info!
Didn’t cross the safety chains? Sam’s a buck seventy-five? 🙂
I am sorry but you really need the heavy duty payload package it is hard to get for some reason from ford dealers that will put your payload up to about 2880 lbs I can't find one anywhere
Right. The hot ticket is the max trailer and heavy duty payload package (hpp).
Thanks for posting this guys. I’ve been waiting a while for a video on this falcons towing. Much appreciated. An other Canadian viewer/subscriber.
Another subscriber from Labrador, Canada. Nice truck Sam. I’ve ordered my 2021 F-150 and she’ll arrive in August. Can’t wait!! I’ve enjoyed all the videos you guys have put out over the last number of months. Keep em coming boys!
Show me the camera
SHOW ME THE CAMERA!!!
Old school guys, love it! I'm about to order a 22; with my 2014 I'd usually leave the door open to watch the ground while backing up that extra inch or three to accurately place the ball under the coupler. Using my mirrors, 8 out of 10 times I'd get the ball within half an inch left and right but fore and aft needed to watch the ground for that final position. I guess I'm going to have to get used to the cameras! Dang, technology sure takes the fun outa learning your skills and pride of accomplishment!
I subscribe, just bought the same 2021 lariat in space white with many same features as Sams. had the same question about the color but it grew on me,love it now. your program is great for me to watch, very informative
thanks guys
SHOW ME THE CAMERA!
It’s a go pro with a external mic on top. Can tell by the fisheye view. And also look in the reflection of their sunglasses. You will see it. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
I subscribed! Love the videos, Sam's 2021 sold me on a space white truck currently trying to track one down myself! Yalls content is awesome!
i subscribed a few weeks ago after buying my 2021 platinum 3.5, keep the truck videos coming
Thanks so much for doing these vids guys, I live in Canada and just bought and F150 xlt space white to replace my Silverado rally 1, not only do I get to see the true color in real everyday light but also the hitch and shock system you have installed. Never had a Ford truck before but im looking forward to my factory order, might be a few more months before I get mine.
Subscribed - looking forward to seeing your video on Roadmaster Active Suspension. I'm installing mine next week on 2015 F150
I’ve been here for a minute love the F150 videos!! Waiting to pick up an new 2021 Raptor!
Subscribed! We are currently waiting on our F150 and Airstream trailer. Can't wait!

Your video was very knowledgeable and very professional
Thanks guys im just getting into this ✌️
Great video guys, that space white is growing on me..😎
Subscribed just a couple weeks ago, red light runner totaled my Tacoma trdor and decided to get the 21 f150 from watching y’all’s videos. Couple days ago got my rapid red fx4 lariat with the 5.0 and loving it 👍🏼👍🏼
Came with the chrome package though that needs fixin
Thanks for subbing Filiberto and glad you are hanging around to see what we do next! Hate to hear about the wreck but at least you got a new truck...
Newly subscribed, very appreciative of the great towing information you provided & the emphasis on tow safety. We're in the market for a new truck & RV in the next year or two & the new F150 is ticking a lot of boxes as far as all the helpful tech that will make towing safer & easier for us
So proper education helps. Nice step by step for a novice like me. Easy to understand, once I decide to get a camper I’ll refer back to this video.
You guys are excellent salesmen for Teraflex, I am sold on the Falcon and will buy a set in the spring.
I just got a 21 F150 Lariat 4x4 5.0 with the 502A package. Loving the channel and just subscribed 🤙🏼
I subscribed! I just bought an F-150 Platinum (2021) with the 3.5L TurboBoost and 7.2 kwh Pro Power generator. Those features were really important to me. That generator, in conjunction with the TurboBoost, will allow us to power our trailer if needed. Since the TurboBoost is a hybrid, it doesn't need to be running all the time to power the generator. It cycles the engine on & off as needed to charge the batteries.
Great video with a lot of useful information that isn’t covered on other channels.
Once again another great video
Nice truck and sounds super good too 👍
I subscribed.
I also ordered the same truck, but in Iconic Silver. Still waitin.
I have subscribed back in the days already!! 🥳🍷⚡😂😂 Channel is great for the F150. Tuned in from France Occitanie where we love pick ups and Ford, as it is by the seaside, mountains, hills, garrigue (local baja+ the rocks😂) people enjoy their truck to work, load, haul, tow, take family and dogs out! As you know miss size trucks. Although roads are wide enough in the south of France to enjoy a full size like the F150. Except parking downtown 🙄😃
One of the best real world test. 👍👍👍
I Subscribed! That’s a beautiful truck and sounds AMAZING! Just bought a 2023 Powerboost and loving it!
I subscribed 3 months ago when I watched the video of the wolf great videos thank you I love my 2020 F150 XLT sport with the max tow package. 302 engine 373 rear end gears for towing. Thank you from Minnesota
Awesome video fellas 👍🏼
Sub'd... started recognizing the roads you were on, live literally a stones throw from you.
Good video Guys. I ordered a 2021 F150 on Feb., 11, 2021, still waiting for it to come in . The latest info I can find on the site the dealer gave me to track it, says delivery date, May, 18, 2021. My dealer is not to optimistic on that date. This will be my third F150 XLT 5.0 two wheel drive, had a 2011, now have a 2015. My 2015 has 87,000 miles, only trading because did not want to hit 100k for resale value. This truck I ordered the Max Tow packages also, 20 inch tires, 36 gal fuel, . I tow a small bass boat on a regular basis, but may be getting a Travel Trailer in the near future, that is why I opted for Max Tow glad to finally see a video with a truck that actually had the same options. Most dealers show you the “tow package” on the window sticker, and tell you you can tow anything out there!?
Keep up the videos guys, can’t wait until mine gets here, Have a trip to Wyoming planned in mid June.
SUBSCRIBED i have the same truck! just a XLT with ecoboost. got some bigger tires and a level but didn't think to get these shocks for my camper...
Those shocks are sick
I subscribed. Looking into a big switch,,, been in RAMs for last 5 trucks, from a 3500 Cummins, to downsizing to 1500's,,,, Ecodiesel, to Hemi's, looking into used F150 5.0 Coyotes and adding supercharger for daily driving, custom setups for suspension, drivability, etc. Been binge watching your channel since I discovered it this morning! Good content guys.
Great info!
Great video gents!!
I subscribed! Great channel guys

Appreciate y’all.!!
Yer like brothers for another mother.. 👊😎
From Michigan
My 2016 F150 had the trailer memory with mileage information and It would also test the trailer lights. It looks like they built on that even more on the 2021 model year.
You got me loving the space white so much that I ordered a new f150 in the space white yesterday. Torn between the max tow and trailer tow package tho.
I subscribed! Good stuff. And like talking to a buddy.
ive got the 2015 f150 3.5 ecoboost....tows hella badass....i didnt get the massive trailer, i got a single axle springdale rugged terrain, its almost a perfect combo!
I subscribed because I bleed Ford Blue! 7 mustangs, 1 Expedition, 3 Explorers, and 1 2021 Badlands Bronco to prove it!!! Just found you guys recently, when trying to show my wife what color I chose for my 2021 Bronco (Carbonite Gray)...looks great on a gas can...JS
I binged the heck out of the channel!
I subscribed ! great video
Koo guys on my way to get an f150 love the channel and just now subscribed
Awesome video! New subscriber
Subscribed. I have an ‘08 Titan. Supposed to tow around 9k. Bought a 33’ camper, weighed somewhere around 6k empty, so add your weight of stuff in the camper:). I changed the tires to “E” rated tires which completely made the truck tow better with much less wiggle in the truck itself. FYI. :).
I'm getting a rv in about a week. 2019 f150 5.0l supercrew with a payload of 2000lbs. Max tow of 11600lbs. Max tongue weight of 1,160lbs. Max gcvw of 14,400lbs. I've installed beefier shocks, road master active suspension, and hellwig anti sway bars front and rear. Having ford dealer install brake controller next week. The rv weighs 6500lbs w/payload of about 1700lbs. I'll have the rv dealer set up the weigh safe weight distribution/sway hitch when I pick up the rv.
So happy you said the 3.5L twin-turbo is maybe a better engine. Just brought home a used 2019 F150 Max Tow package with the 3.5L Looking at an Ember 20' overland that's 4700# dry so about the same as your setup. I really like your wheels what are they? Definitely putting the shocks on the to-do list thanks also. Hey of course I subscribed!
Love the color on the f-150 😎it's a cool truck 👍 i enjoy watching your videos 👍 keep up the good work guys 😃 have a great weekend ☀️🌳hi from Denmark 🇩🇰
Great video! One recommendation I'd have is to cross your chains when towing. other than that, thanks for putting out such great video. I'll be looking at those Falcons for my 2019 for sure!
Thanks for watching Felipe. My chains can't be crossed. They attach in the center and come from a single point. The only way you can cross your chains is when they are attached that two different points. Crossing mine would only cross one link right where they are attached.
Nice truck man!!!
This looks like a good set-up
I subscribed 👍. Excellent video
Subscribed! Id like to see that 2021 with a 9klbs dry weight camper behind it. Looks like good content and all the fords made me say ok, im subscribing! The camper is a bonus. I tow a 2020 jayco jayflight slx with an 08 superduty. I have towed the same camper with an 01 suburban and it actually did well until a trip to the alleghany mountains! It made the trip but it was cryin going up the mountains. Stayed above 50 at all times but i had that white knuckle action goin on that trip! Not because of sway or suspension because its bagged..but the power and torque wasnt there. The twin turbo 6.4l is another monster and so far i love it. Upgraded to rancho 8 way adjustable on all 4 corners. Ive only had them on 1 setting. The next trip will be changed twice...one setting on the way and a different setting on the return ride. Keep up the good content fellas. Safe towing
great video.....i just bought a new F150 Lariat 2021 while i wait patiently for my Bronco order.....this new F150 has the 3.5 eco boost. i have always had the 5.0L. i believe the 3.5 has some pretty good towing capability as well.
Subscribed!
Great vid. Thanks for making. Rear shock setup interesting. Does Fox have a similar product? I don't think I've seen Falcon shocks in Australia
Good vid but most people don’t understand payload capacity. You will run out of payload before you reach max tow capacity! At 15% tongue weight with a 5000lb camper that’s 750lbs deducted from payload. Then deduct 500lbs in bed and the driver 200lbs +-. That’s 1450lbs with approximately 300lbs left for passengers. That truck with 1750 payload will be just about maxed with an average family and gear. Nice looking rig!
I have seen my fair share of people with flipped jack-knifed trailers who probably felt they were "safe enough" but over capacity. It's been a year since the post but your math still applies lol
