@taeil mainvocal Amongall mainvocals and if u stan Taeil as your name suggest, u wont insult Taeil's pride as a singer who will not sing with equal peers. Doyoung may not be as technically flawless, but among NCT vocalists, he brings out the most of the emotional pull in the songs.

Doyoung is not the “second” main vocalist... Both he and Taeil are just main vocals, there is no “first” or “second”.
Nct was meant as a very flexible brand. So their is no first and second vocalists, they adjust accordingly depending on songs. And there is not a lot of groups that can so that

I’m really glad you like NCT ‘s vocals! As expected of SM groups, the artists under SM Entertainment are known to have the best vocals in the industry. I definitely recommend checking out all their artist especially Super Junior/ Super Junior KRY( their vocal sub unit), EXO, SHINee, BoA, TVXQ etc.
Doyoung had competed in King of Mask Singer and got to last round. He's acknowledged for his vocal by the panels (producers and fellow artists) and the audience.

SM entertainment in general have the best vocalist in K-Pop, EXO is NCT seniors I would recommend you to listen to Wolf live in Japan at Tokyo dome it's not a ballad but they showed a really great vocals, and if you want a ballad watch Universe or miracles in December. I hope you enjoy

NCT is a wonderful group with KILLER vocals and amazing songs and stage performances (as you can see here). This song has a lot of meaning behind it and is very sentimental as it's about the members of NCT (specifically the foreign members - the rest of which rise up and join them on stage here) coming together and finding a home in each other despite all being from different places, because they all have the same dream. This song is so beautiful and I will never stop being absolutely amazed every time I watch it! The member you noticed the most for his vocals (he hit that super high, effortless note and also held that long note in the beginning) is Doyoung! Doyoung is in NCT 127.
If you didn't know NCT has a concept of "limitless expansion". They plan to keep adding members, all with the purpose of making the best music they can and being able to reach people all around the world. A fun fact is that more than half the group (13/23) is actually foreign! They all come from the USA, Japan, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Canada, Macau, Taiwan, and Germany! Also NCT is known for having a sort of signature sound to most of their title tracks. They often have unique beats and song structures, that many people (antis included) have called "noise music" or even compared it to construction sounds lol No matter the beat or structure, however, NCT can take a track and really make it authentically THEIRS.
You were correct that NCT has 23 members and 4 subunits (as of right now): NCT 127, WayV, NCT Dream and NCT U. The run down of the units is:
NCT 127 - korea based unit, 10 members, Songs I recommend checking out are "Kick It", "Punch", and "Dreams Come True"
WayV - China based unit, 7 members, Songs I recommend are "Turn Back Time", "Bad Alive", and "Moonwalk"
NCT Dream - some of the youngest members unit, 7 members, Songs I recommend are "Ridin'", "Boom", and "Don't Need Your Love"
NCT U - a rotational group, any member of nct can be in a U song, the member line-up all depends on who fits the songs concept best, i.e "From Home" is sung by a bunch of the best vocalists from all the units, Songs I recommend are "Work It", "90s Love" and "Make a Wish"

I think in terms of songs, you need to check out Resonance Album because that just represents the power of NCT. So many different combinations of members with different genres of music as well. If you check resonance album make sure to watch the color-coded lyric video because you don't really know whos in it until you see the line distribution because in every song the members are different in terms of numbers and names as well.

@@cozkeyisinnct Yeah, they release the audio track, but for a non-NCTzen they don't know whos in it, they can't recognize the members' voices especially in NCT U songs. The point of watching the color-coded lyrics is to let the non-NCTzen and new NCTzen know which member was in the song, help them to remember their names and faces, and recognize each member's voices.
SM is very well known for their vocalist.. so yeah, NCT is not exception 😌
Don’t worry.. if you start listening their albums.. they have a lot “slow” music... ofc the strongest songs are the most popular... but they can fit any gender (all the units have beautiful ballads)

nct in my opinion is one of the most well-rounded groups in kpop. they have some of the most incredible vocalists, dancers, rappers in the industry right now, and they make music that is so original and diverse. they have tons of beautiful ballads like this one, and then the more intense and fun tracks that people like to call "noise music" as a drag, but even that they've reclaimed ;) they have the best b-sides, so you should definitely check out their full albums---Neo Zone from NCT 127 was a cultural reset

If you want to dive into NCT, I actually suggest you watch all their releases in chronological order instead of by units. This way you can see how NCT developed up until now as a whole and the differences between each unit. omg I’m glad you liked Doyoung he’s such a great singer. He is the second best singer in nct, the first one is taeil, the one who did the highnote which you did not expect to go higher. Every czennies agrees with that and even the members themselves but personally I prefer Doyoung’s vocal tone there’s no competition tho. It’s just that nct has a lot of memberd and all of them are great singers so they have so many main vocalists😂 Also he did a lot of covers on their channel which I would want to recommend to you cuz those are all amazing. My favorites is his cover of I don’t wanna be you anymore by billie eilish and his cover wth haechan of cinta luar biasa. Tbh there’s more than that but it would be too long if I suggest a lot because there’s really so many covers. Well all of the members of nct in general are great singers. Mind you even the main rappers can sing well👀

Those are slow songs, showcasing their amazing vocals. Other people here in the comments already recommended some of their strong, dynamic title tracks.

This performance was especially touching because all the members that popped up at the end are all the other foreign members that literally left their country and found a home in NCT. You can watch the music video for this one on NCT’s official CZcams channel. It’s called NCT U - From Home (Rearranged Ver.) the music video is also really meaningful bc it shows them from pe debut like back in 2013 to 2016. 13/23 members are not from Korea. So they are all far from home. The song is for the members and its basically talking about finding a home with their members as they are far from home.

so what’s really cool about this performance is (obviously) they performed a different version for the first time called “from home (rearranged ver)” and they even put out a nostalgic music video for it!
but also, when johnny and mark popped up it’s because they had all of nct’s foreign members come up! since from home is a song about where they come from and struggles being away from home, it’s a really meaningful one for the foreigners!

This is the best vocals in kpop in my opinion.
I would really recommend you their b-sides there are many more songs like From Home (Coming Home, No longer, Make your Day, White Night, Face to Face, Dear Dream, etc...) but also very RnB heavy songs , HipHop, EDM, basically everything you could think of.
They are actually a dance heavy group but SM really said ✨all rounded✨
