I took up boxing in my 50s. Now 61. Still training and sparring. Love it.
That’s great to hear. Boxing is a great sport to keep your body and mind sharp. Im now 52 and still learning more and more each day. Keep punching!!
Took up boxing at 54 still going at 58 best thing I have ever done , totally agree with everything these fellas said , my sparring partner is 60 , have met some of the best people of all ages in the last four years , just do it
I’m 50. Just started learning to box in March 2021
Never too old to be boxing Be... glad you found it.
There's no gym per say in my area. But I'm buying my first punching bag this week so I can slowly learn on my own. Just for fitness and mental health. I'm 51 and looking forward to sweating it out lol
@@mikel6787 that's a great idea. I'm 49 next week and I coach more guys our age these days. There's no better way to keep yourself in shape. The trick to boxing is to leaen the techniques right and use more muscles in the process. Take your time and check out my videos from a decade ago.
Awesome guys, i just recently started boxing at 62 as a therapy after a vew years kettlebells and upright bike only and the benefits from boxing training i'm already undergo, i wish i had done this sooner. Just for my own overall health state, not to spar, as a pacifist, ya know🤗 Great vid with nice insides🙏 thnx👍
Great vid.
I very much appreciate they mentioned mental health, thats often overlooked
Getting into boxing soon mainly to get into shape and loose fat. Did kickboxing for 12 years so looking forward to it. Be going 3/4 times a week and will definitely get me fitter and in better shape
Great stuff... if there is anything I can help you with please ask away. I am still on lockdowna and have plenty time on my hands.
We are filming a few more videos called Fight Therapy and will post in the next couple of weeks. Keep it up man... all your goals will arrive... just takes being persistent and consistant. No rush... this is a long life.
Box on!
@@Dennythetrainer yeah exactly. I’ve contacted 3 local boxing gyms got turned down by 1 because of Covid and their only allowing boxers who want to compete 🤷♂️😬
Great video :) gday train hard guys! 110 days clear of Alcohol now....so correct Alcohol is trash, only puts you in a dark hole.
I've been off the grid Denny, no social media and just focusing on myself atm good to see you training well mate. Everything is great on my end of the world.
Bignate signing off :) OSU
Good to hear from you big man. We will be posting more videos on here man so keep in touch. Well done for getting off the booze champ.
Great video Thanks for sharing guys. Would love to come train, think the wife would disown me though 🙏🏻
ha ha ha! Bring her with you and I will give her to my wife to train her and me and you can get to work :-)
Dennythetrainer Cheers . If the kids had left home sir then would be viable. I wish you all the best, great to see the inspirational videos. Thanks.
Cheers Gordon, good luck with the kids. Our youngest is 19 and the oldest 26 so we are on our second phase of life :-) All the best mate.
Agreed.
Can someone tell me where this place is and the name of the gym?
We were on a small island called Koh Tao in Thailand. We are no longer based there. Sadly the lockdowns forced us to close and we moved our gym to the UK.
Wonder if these guys ever sparred with local Thai boxers?
Billy aging like milk
She said he doesn't look 61? Uhh yeah, ok.....he looks in decent shape but let's not stretch things that much!
I can see why your show is so popular. You’ve sure got a lot to say that no one wants to hear. 🤣🤣🤣💪🥊 keep moving forward pal.
My mans is 47?? My dad is a year younger but looks like he is 28 lol
Never too old, or too young to be boxing Chris
@@Dennythetrainer Ik I’m just saying he looks older lol
