I really like how in BOTW getting the master sword was a Heart consuming Challenge. and now it's a Stamina Consuming challenge in ToTK
It’s literally the same concept and me personally rather have more stamina than hearts so I’m ok with that

@@sonic3235 Haha, I made a joke about the triquel as well. Yet I thought it would be funny if you have to have enough weapons that you break all but still have one remaining by the time you have freed the master sword.
It’s no wonder this game took so long! It’s an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!! In love with it!
Honestly my suggesttion is to go for all the towers first, ignore everything except shrines along the way, by the end of it you should more or less have 20 shrines completed. Then go for the impa dragon tears quest, 10 geoglyphs are super easy if you have all towers unlocked. The dragon will apppear above you after the quest completion. This way is much more efficient than camping for it and easier than the deku tree boss fight.
Will it be low enough to actually be gotten to I need it for scales rn but it’s higher then most godang sky islands and assure you it is not visible from ground level

Almost did this exact method but forgot to turn in my Light Blessings for more stamina first.😅 Now I’m left hunting the Light Dragon to try again as I’ve actually got the needed Stamina.
Yup...all towers and get full map, 2 wheels of stamina for sword, hylian shield( get right after great sky island) get some rupees, lots of arrows and items....then the main quests will be easier( and if you played botw you know how to battle)
Tip. You only need to do 16 shrines for 4 stamina, if you talk to the horned devil in Lookout Landing you can swap your 1 heart for stamina, get the ms and then reswap it back to a heart

It only unlocks after the first temple you do.
best way to farm gibdo bones: start Riju’s quest and during the part where you have to fend off the gibdo from the Kara Kara Bazaar, Riju will have her thunder ability (forgot the name of it) activated which will allow you to use arrows to strike the gibdo with lightning; keep defeating the gibdo without destroying their hive & they will continuously respawn. racked up a good 500+ bones before i ran out of arrows lol
I second this that mission and defending the town got me around 50 or so
How many arrows were you packing before then?
@@felixthescholarlytitan4437 around 120 or so; you can save on arrows by waiting for more gibdo to appear and have them chase you until they're grouped together then shoot an arrow in the middle of them and BOOM: gibdo bones!
Also the npc on the left gives you more arrows if you run out
Quick tip theres a quest u can do to skip 4 shrines if ur burned out from shrines.....go to the depths where temple of time is to get a fun lil quest on the great plateau that rewards a heart or stam bar

Already did this but I've been burned out on Shrines since the tutorial for BOTW. I wish they would have made most of the stamina and heart containers quest rewards. Doing a Shrine in 2 minutes or less is just padding, not content.
The reason the light dragon is so low is because it gets closer to the land after finding all the geoglyphs
ahhh i didnt collect any so it was far but i still got it with that cheeky flying machinge with the fans.
in my game, even when i collected all Dragon Tears, the Dragon was still way up high and i had to use a tower to launch me and on a sky island i had to use a platform with 4 vents and 6 batteries to get higher to finally reach the Dragon. It took some time and good thing is the Dragon ist very slow. 😅
@@davudtonn526 Same here, collected all 12 but its still flying pretty damn high. Got very close to it for a few times, but no succes so far. Wish i unlocked the tower near the 12th tear before collecting it, then i couldve used that one to shoot me up since collecting it triggers it to be close to ground after the cutscene :( Edit: eventually i managed to get on the dragon by using the great sky island highest point.

another way to fight the phantom gabon is shooting 5 bomb flowers into the middle of the hands, it’s a little less costly than the gems and is really easy
fighting ganon himself, you can just block, hit him a bunch when he’s cooldown, but if he charges his attack to the left(his left) get back cuz that’s a heavy attack
A tip for the fight. Try to find and use a Lynel bow because the lynel bow shoots 3 arrows while only taking one. So you take out all the hands with 1 ruby and while fighting Ganon using a lyenl bow and gibdo bones you'll deal about 130 damage per hit
Listen, if you can get that Lynel bow with only 4 hearts and trash gear, then you don't need the Lynel bow to kill Phantom Ganon XD
If you do that 'call from the depth' quest (which is necessary to get all poe rewards anyway), you only need to do 16 shrines. The quest reward a heart or stamina container. I happen to have had it done before learning the master sword can be early game. It's a long quest but not as bad as some people made it put to be tbh
It’s extremely high if you are very early in the game. There is only one spot where you can get it in very early stage. At great Island>room of awakening>next room>ceiling jump>go to the edge. It passes 2 time in a row. The first time it’s far away, but then it turns around an passes very close again. 3 green rings and extra wind will do (I had a rocket on my shield to get a higher starting point). Not so easy to land because there is up wind around the dragon. So therefore, you need some spare green power. Have fun

oh god thank you for this video the other videos on how to get the master sword never say any thing about if the light dragon has the sword if you don´t follow the deku tree quest but waiting 2 hours seems a lot easier than to fight a boss battle at least for me that is^^
two things to note as others have said...the dragon will spawn very very high if nothing is done..however you can use the great sky island...to get high enough to get it..or even use some flying items to get even higher...+some stamina items..but yes i had zero main story done and got it...
yeah that dragon is ridiculously high. 2000-2500 attitude at the very least.
@@lollipoprei830 Oh man, the dragon is so much higher than I expected, making it extremely hard to spot it. I also waited 4 hours because I didn't realize how poor the render distance is in this game. However, the dragon wasn't high enough. My plan to capture it still worked. Though it did require some stamina food so I could stay in the air long enough.
You don’t need to do any of the geopglyphs just go to the highest island in the starview island area and wait for her to show up, also the low gravity makes it easier to land

I figured out how come you can’t find the dragon, it’s because they didn’t explain you have to do a whole quest line for it to spawn

Honestly, i fight this Phantom Ganon already about 5 times, its not that hard when you know his moveset, just dodge in right time and rush him with slowmo hits, not that hard. And he gives fancy weapon, which is nice.
The dragon flys at an alt of 2500+ to 3000 just to give you a hand in how high up to look.

If you stay close to phantom Gannon he only does two attacks and it's way easier to flurry rush him- just imo
what I did was use the wind temple ability and fly over from above the room of awakening
I saw the light dragon flying near one of the sky towers, but it's flying way too high to reach, even after launching yourself from the tower

You can also use stam buff food.
Guys important if you haven’t done a specific quest( you likely haven’t) the dragon will be up too high to reach via tower and you will have to make a flying machine
there are two points on the map higher than the dragon's flight path. one is a spiral tower over the Lanayru mountain, the colder one. The second is the highest point of the temple of time. it is time consuming, but you can reach it before the quest is done.

The dragon it far up, but it's not too far up. I did it easily. No quest.
I have like 50 hour into this game and literally have never seen this dragon until I finished the dragon tears and then she spawned it the peninsula to leave one last memory. That is when I got the sword. I am really happy I didn't look up how to do it and just figured it out on my own. The satisfaction was immense. Also the story of that dragon is so damn sad.

Without the lost woods quest, the dragon actually flies waaay higher. It might still be possible to get it, but not with just a tower. I tried because i stumbled on the dragon by chance. I was barely able to shoot it with my bow.
Oh I just used the bouncy boats at the wind dungeon. If you have gust, you should be able to bounce and glide close enough to get in the dragon's updraft.
@@Paper_Jam200 I hadn't done any main quests at that point. I was thinking of doing that, until I realized the dragon was going in the other direction and said nvm lol. Another thought was to patiently use zonai equipment to get super high and just wait.
Both were time consuming so I decided not to. I just tried it because it was convenient at the time. Maybe for my second playthrough I'll do it.

If you can aim well, I just got the royal bow and a few random enemy drops that I attached to my arrows. Took down phantom Gannon really fast
I finally found it but it was flying higher than the tower could launch me...
Edit: i got it by jumping off the island you first spawn on before jumping to start the tutorial island

This video is lacking a lot of critical information, if you haven’t done the main quest line involving the Sages the dragon will be flying too high for the towers to reach. Screw their “early” method just use a bunch of rockets.
Edit: its not the sages quest line, upon collecting all 10 Tears in the Glyph quests line and viewing the final 11th tear. The light dragon will begin flying low like in this video. Major lack of information in this video.

It is possible without the quest completed, you just have to be really lucky and jump from the great sky Island at the correct angle before the dragon rises to meet the height of the island.I just did it myself. 4 hearts ,2 stamina wheels, and no phantom ganon or geo quest done. Again I just happened to have the perfect scenario to make it work
@@f.f.2260 i used a floating platform and a lot of rockets to reach the dragon when it was still really high up
Dragon too high! This is what I did. I went on the highest and most southern part of the great sky island. Fused a rocket to my shield, and when I saw it coming I used the rocket to get higher and spam that gust boost. I JUST MADE IT ON.
The part about rocket boost was extremely helpful. I was at the Southern Part but couldn’t get on the dragon cause it was still high until I saw your hint. Thank you!!!!!!

@@inukuji9294 I was able to get a rocket from sky island with fairy. It’s the island you can land on after getting shot up from Hyrule Field Skyview Tower. Then simply fused and waited until the dragon came closer to south side of great sky island.
How? I put a rocket on my shield and nothing happened.
@@TraceguyRune simply take out your shield as the dragon comes near. You will get shot up above the dragon. Dragon doesn’t need to be right next to you since if you are close enough to the dragon, you will be lifted up by the updraft.

Just a friendly tip the sky view tower will not allow you to get on top i believe the dragon flys to high at a certain point of the game for awhile.
I can't vouch for sky view tower, but I head others do it using rockets. I did the easy IQ way and just went to the highest point I could easily access, which was the water temple. Worked like a charm
I need to know this! Is helping the deku tree needed. for you to be able find the dragon pull master Sword or you can find it on your own. Yes for you can find it on your own. No for needing to help the deku tree. I just need to know this.
Found the dragon but sadly the dragon is like 600 million feet in the air and I can't get to it

It's the same sword. Ganondorf broke it, dragon fixed it
But there was 2 in breath of the wild because the totk one was sent back in time to heal and it continued to heal till the "upheaval" came around again
@TheNineTailedFoxvern it's still the original it's kinda like a paradox since it went back in time to heal and the one that was already there ends up destroyed and sent back in time

A lot of people are saying "This don't work, it's too high", well they are wrong. I did it wothout gliders or rockets. Just Tulin, a paraglider, and some stamina food. Once the dragon is in place, climb to the highest point of the water temple and take the leap of faith

I went full red hearts only since there are so many ways to get around the map without needing stamina

@@AmplufyedNo it doesn’t. Tried this with an enhancement of Temporary Stamina and it was not even touched during the attempt to pull out the Master Sword.

i dont know if this got fixed or so but that dragon does not fly at least for me down there like fire dragon its almost 3-5 times higher than fire dragon and even with that tower its still 30-50yards above so i kinda wasted my time waiting for that dragon xd

@@Mystic_Edge1 i got a tiny trick at North tower(Thyphlo Ruins tower) i landed on the first tiny island on right if you at sky map and on that island you can build a Wing with hot ballon+fire emitter and i think 4-6 batteries not sure i just put more on till i almost reach light dragon it was close enough to get Air wind up from dragons so i could use my para to fly to his head

He already said it in the video. The dragon flies around from the start of the game. You just need 20 shines worth of stamina, a high point, and patience

phantom ganon was pretty easy with melee. I no hit run him its the fucking hands that were giving me trouble. I figured out to use puffshrooms on them to hide and not be chased

It's still a video game, that mastersword needs to hit enemies 100+ times to kill them, and it will "break" like any other weapon. And yes, I put quotes around that because you'll have it available for use again in 10 minutes.
Is there a time frame on when the light dragon hits certain regions?
Depends on what time you exit tutorial island.

I messed up. Playing the game blind aka no spoilers. Did 3 hearts 4 stamina. Finished tears and towers bout the same time tears last. Didn’t cash out the last stamina I needed. Well I didnt have enough. Now since I finished tears dragon is wayyyy too high when he does come back.
You can get to him by simply climbing higher, but if you don't want to bother, just follow the guide in this video. The quest will cause the dragon to lower.

Remember, it's extremely high in the sky, and the game being a cheap Nintendo game has poor render distance, so you may not even see it if waiting in the wrong spot. I spent 4+ hours of my evening yesterday watching the sky. Just happy I eventually corrected my waiting spot, and got it.

Do it with the water temple. I saw someone else mention it and gave it a try. It's higher up, so it works easier for anyone without good knowledge of rockets. Be warned the Water Temple is so high that you lose draw distance, so you have to wait on the ground for it to get close.

when does the geoglyph reveal its location, i got all the glyph memories and it hasn’t appeared on the map
Is the Deku tree that tells Link the location, and after that you can follow the Quest marker

Anyone know the master swords base damage, I know it's durability is more than botw, but what about it's damage, both normal, and shining
I just got it, it had no defined base power. I don't if my game's bugged but it doesn't have a base damage number
I dropped a 29 damage weapon while holding the master sword, and looked at it, it said the 29 damage sword had less damage. I then dropped a 31 damage sword annnnnnd it said it had more damage than the master sword. Then, my 30 damage sword had the white “same damage” arrow. The master sword has the same damage in this game. 30 damage.
