Good question. Here in Ohio no in winter parasites aren’t much of an issue. I pretty much always let them roam for a few minutes while I setup their new paddock. It’s usually an hour tops so I don’t think it really hurts too much even during high load times. This particular field hadn’t actually been grazed in years (before we started this rotation). I’m not sure if sheep have even been on it to be honest. My neighbor was kind enough to let me graze their unused fields.
Do you not have to worry about parasites as much in the winter like this? I’m just wondering why you let them on grass that wasn’t fully rested yet
