The heads/CEOs took paycuts in order to maintain workplace retention and unit cohesion? Wallstreet CEOs shake in their 10 million dollar boots at the very thought. Well done Keith and Zach.
Every single time they have gone through difficulties and insecurities about their business, they ALWAYS express fear about it negatively impacting their team over themselves. They truly care about everyone they employ and give them props every chance they get. Wish we all had bosses like them.
Nintendo in Japan did the same thing when they were having money problems and thats the mark of a great company.
Thatâs actually a strategic move compared to what watcher did was just hire a bunch more people, clearly people at that company wanted fair pay including their new talent while trying to pitch a new show⊠then they basically asked their audience to financially support them through their new platform which drove a lot of people mad, including myself.
At least here nobody is pressured. One more thing, they also asked for advice from their field experts.
Only so many ways they can scrape by before they find the bottom of the barrel.
They are millionaires lmao. Ohhh nooo, they only made 3 million each instead of 5 this year!
I really appreciate how quickly they are putting things on CZcams after they've been on 2nd Try. It really shows they still appreciate the fans who can't afford or choose not to subscribe.
100%, the way they're doing it seems like they want to make sure there are enough perks to 2nd try to make the purchase worth it without sacrificing the experience of the youtube viewers :)
@@hanad1548 I agree. I'm all for paying people getting perks! That's how it should be. But it's great not feeling left out for not paying. I personally CAN pay and might in the future, but many can't and it's a very nice balance they've found.
@@hanad1548exactly. Theyâll slowly fade away from YT if the paid platform ends up gaining decent traction and money
What's the average, roughly?
@Moonwizard420 the best that I can tell (because I haven't really tracked it), it's about a week to 10 days. It's a really quick turnaround. I got the subscription for a couple of reasons, and I'm really glad I did, but the fans that don't aren't being neglected at all. It's just one more reason I love this channel.
This may seem minor but one thing Iâve always appreciated about Try Guys videos is that theyâre ALWAYS CC friendly. Someone has taken time to edit all the auto-generated subtitles for all these videos. It makes a huge difference for people (like myself) who have disabilities that make hearing or understanding voices hard to read sentences instead of one-by-one words that have no punctuation. Especially on rapid-fire videos like this one. Thank you so much!!
^^^^^ this!!
unfortunately a lot of the captions on 2nd try are messed up. because it's a 'no ads experience', they have to cut out the sponsor sections of old videos (eg: i was watching the video where zach does beekeeping and there's a betterhelp sponsor) but they have not fixed the captions. the captions for the sponsor section of the vid run while the rest of the actual video is playing, and they were delayed by like a minute for the rest of the video. don't say all your vids on 2nd try are captioned when they are not properly!! if it's not accurately captioned, it's not ready to be on the platform yet. people have been calling them out for like a week on this and i haven't seen any changes or even an acknowledgement from them. also, anyone on youtube can add and edit captions, i don't think they've had someone on their team doing them all these years. you can tell some of them are done by fans because theyll have little side comments or emojis.
@@arcadiarose3775apparently its an issue with vimeo, the thing theyre putting their streaming service on. thats all ive heard
@@arcadiarose3775 Slight correction -- they have acknowledged the problem, are working on it, and there's an area where people can report specific problem videos with timestamps.
@@markstanley6565 do u have a link/screenshot or smthn of their acknowledgment? i hadn't seen anything. and where can we report stuff like that?
Something important to note it that CZcams and the algorithm was actively working against their view count during their "fuck it" era. None of their videos showed up in homepage, or reccomended. As someone that watched Try Guys with every new episode, the fact I had to actively search them out every videp drop was insane.
I think thatâs the reason why Iâm ok with everyone wanting to leave CZcams. It seems greedy to put a pay wall but letâs be real, CZcams OWNS these guys. Whether youâre pushed, CZcams chooses. Do they want to demonetize you? They choose. Itâs not stable on CZcams, just like if tiktok really were to get shut down, f***, millions of income for small creators will be gone.
This happened with a lot of channels I watched. I really think it has to do with CZcams prioritizing short form content which was so dumb a move all around.
Every video showed up in my subscription feed. I'm wondering if I;m odd because I go there for new videos before anything else.
â@@Beautyonthebrain_ my subscription tab is where I know I can find their new episodes but my YT home page will show me a new TG video every time
Yep! And they've mentioned it was partly due to the huge influx of new subscribers who were only there for drama and not to watch the content, which told CZcams they weren't interesting so don't bother pushing.
Didn't know Eugene was helping out even though he was supposed to leave a long time ago. Thank you all for creating such a wonderful channel
yup, from what i gathered, he was even supposed to leave last year. but due to the scandal he postponed in order to support the guys.
Eugene has been putting his own dreams on hold for years. Even before donut drama he put his friends and the company before his own professional goals.
Yeah, the "love, Eugene" video was really illuminating, I loved that he was so transparent in that one about having planned to leave earlier but feeling like he needed to stay for his friends' business to survive.
It's a great video, you should watch it.
He is still part ownerâŠ.just not part of the cast pool
Eugene will still be a CEO of this company, it was mentioned in his video/podcast, he just wonât be in videos unless he has free time & will agree to be in them.
Itâs not so much a goodbye as I thought đ , but more of a see you later vibe đ
The "Fuck It" Era really was the best Era in a long time, even if the numbers say otherwise! Go kick ass guys, we're all behind you and rooting for you! I love the behind the scenes looks
Seconded! I LOVED the fuck it era, the algorithm simply didnât see the vision
Eugene really meant âfuck you, Ted, you ruined us, you ruined your family & you ruined yourselfâ đą
Exactly!! I'm just now realizing all my favorites just happened to all happen in the fuck it era
yeah I miss the fuck it era!! I donât watch any of the series that arenât âwithout a recipeâ cus I donât like the other ones :/
Yeah, I friggin adored that era. I hate that the algorithm screwed them so hard, but more shows like that is why I subbed to 2nd try so fast
Iâm honestly just glad you addressed that Eugene is only leaving the âTalentâ part but that he is still apart of the company and ownership
In all honesty, it was such a smart move for the try guys to document the whole journey for launching 2nd Try and be SUPER communicative with their audience about the behind the scenes stuff. Imo thatâs what set this launch apart from Watcher for example
đŻ
They didn't answer the really important question. Did Keith get his dishwasher fixed? Hopefully Keith will post an update like Zach did when donut drama broke his dishwasher.
Right? Thatâs what we all want to know!!!
I LOVE that we all took the Donut analogy and ran with it. đ©đ«
@@aleks-33 What's the donut analogy?
I want to also know if the dishwasher was fixed! đź

OMG THAT'S where I recognized it from! XD xD XD
I have been trying to figure out why I associate him with the jersey. Thank you.đ

Take paycuts and restructure the whole company in order to prevent layoffs? HELL YEAH.
You would never see that in government or schools.

Marissa's divorce cake sold me on her forever!! đ
Go forth tits out đ!!!
I was so proud of her. It may not have met with the entire theme but boy it looked delicious & Iâm sure tasted bittersweet đ
Me too!
Absolutely love her for that!!!
the way she delivers her little tagline at the end of that episode "go forth tits out đâ" always makes me laugh so hard
The greatest move that you pulled of is ask Sam Reich for advice. It made you find you identity again.
This! Also talking with Smosh about adding cast members. Full respect for taking advice from those who went before you
And yet Watcher did none of that, had they done this nobody would be upset & theyâd still have a good following!
Yep, Dropout and Mythical/Smosh know what's up
Literally this đđđ
I totally can see where people are coming from when they think this is just a cash grab, but honestly the Try Guys have reached a level of quality where their work is worth a few bucks a month. I love all the cast members and even the production crew personalities are hilarious. It feels good to me that for $5 I can get content I'll definitely enjoy and help support the careers and livelihoods of this incredible group. And knowing that the content will eventually be released free on CZcams just shows that they do care about the people who can't afford to subscribe to the service, none of their longtime supporters are being cut off from the new content entirely. Keep it up you all, and I can't wait to see the chaos and hilarity that comes from 2nd Try in the coming months!
Keith and Zach have have talked about problems with pleasing YT algorithm, videos getting demonetized and other issues for awhile. So this was a long time coming.
Yeah, completely agree. Im much happier paying for 2nd Try vs Netflix or Hulu. I barely use streaming services, but I signed up for 2nd Try immediately.
Exactly! People are spending way more to follow and buy subpar products from instagram influencers who donât provide anything to society
True but I think it was mostly bc this announcement arrive after the Watcher one had just cooled down so people were already very turned off of the idea of streaming for YTbers
Somewhat disagree. They've acknowledged on the podcast not everyone will be able to use the app. Yet still no CZcams membership (lower returns). To me that's a cash grab over caring for the audience that wants to access your content and literally can't.
Eugene expressing his sentiments while wearing a classy slutty angel costume is the most Eugene thing ever. We love you forever, man!
I keep saying, creative people cannot keep making the same art all through their lives. We all as people evolve and by nature, artists more so. We got 10 wonderful years or Eugene as a Try Guy, not we have to let go of this version of him to get so many wonderful new projects from him.
As for 2nd Try, the new cast is so damn FABULOUS!!!! I am so pumped for this new era!
Yep. Show me a creator who hasn't changed over time and I'll show you a boring artist
To be fair, none of CZcams was any of their actual dreams đ Eugene wanted to become an actor, an author & film director, editor & producer (now is his chance)âŠ
While Zach wanted to become I believe a film writer/producer/ director
And Keith well he wanted to become a late night talk show host, his favourite being Conan!
Nevertheless, making it into this sort of industry is very difficult⊠so Iâm sure they are still very proud of where they are at â€
I could not agree more
the stomping triceratops logo is SO CUTE! I love that the triceratops has always been a symbol for the Try Guys đ
It has been my favourite dinosaur since I was little!â€â€
It's almost like that other guy was fated to depart since TRI means three lmao. Eugene is always here in spirit and in company ownership lol
The TRYceratops is the perfect mascot for them.â€
I didnât expect to instantly tear up when Zach described Eugene as one of the great collaborate of his lifeâ
I must confess I was one of the people who fell off watching a few years back (like 6 months before le scandal) and have had a hard time trying to get back in to the groove of watching. Maybe this will be the perfect restart point for me to get back in to it! I respect how well this has been handled! Contacting people like Sam at Dropout and Smosh to handle the different changes is totally the right way to do it!
Sad to see the views tank after the "event" when these last few years, with the new cast especially, has included some of my favorite content they've done. Actually, some of my favorite content on CZcams period. I've never subbed to a paetron or anything smaller like that before but I immediately subbed to 2ndTry. I hope it receives all the success they deserve and more.
I agree!!! It just feels more genuine âșïž
I think i just assumed the viewâs dropped because so much of their platform switched to second try- this is the first video of theirs ive watched on youtube since they launched 2nd try!
Im always blown away when i to to the subreddit and hoards of people talk about how theyve âlostâ their touch!! Im like ⊠if anything the 4-6 months before the event i was finding the content fun but a little flat. The past 18 months have been some of my favorite runs of content from them†been a viewer since the first BF video
I agree! I have adored how unserious theyâve been about the event (the hilarious ways the edited out Red), and Iâve never laughed as much as I have at their content (or really any) post event
This is literally what I said. None of the other guys were the problem it was Squidward.
If he hadnât effed up they would of gained more fans/ had more views then againâŠhe was also the most boring & uncomfortable to watch đ
"to the next 5..."
"make it 10!"
Melted my heart and to describe it as getting married. What a beautiful display of your commitment and loyalty to each other but also to your fans and art
The coincidence of Keithâs dishwasher killed me, I would love some clickbait âtry guys dramaâ video that ends up ONLY being about how BOTH of the dishwashers broke after a big announcement đ
I think H3 and Reddit really missed the point of it- which is that it's essentially like your own personal patreon without having to limit yourselves to patreon's terms. All the stuff we're used to seeing on CZcams will still be coming out here and be available for those who can't or don't want to subscribe to 2nd Try, and that's what's different between you and Watcher; what tanked them is that they really did put everything behind a paywall (and quite a steep one considering the small amount of videos they produce). This is not taking anything away, just offering more for those willing to pay for it. I can't afford it right now, personally, but I think this is a really great way to go about it and when I can, I do intend to subscribe because I want to support your ventures and I'm really excited to see the new stuff you're bringing to 2nd Try!
14:05 if Eugene ever DOES come back to film more videos, he needs to enter like this every single time đđđ
he will be! he said he's always welcome to come back for a video now and then he just didn't want it to be expected for him to be in every video like Keith and Zach
@@aerogirl246 if thereâs any series Eugene will come back, itâs definitely without a recipe, Iâm just wondering what Eugene will come up with next âHollywood Eugeneâ đ

I'm glad I read this comment because I didn't know he had talked about them and I got MAD when he said that
Wish heâd take accountability on other stuff. Had to unsubscribe from H3 recently.
The minute I saw Ethan I was like oh no. I love both H3 Show and Try Guys
H3 are absolute clowns
Honestly, the launch has been so well planned in terms of communication, it was so smart to include a FAQ as part of your promotional material. 2nd Try is the little train that could, even after otber streaming launches have poisoned the soil a little.
I legitimately think there will be scholarly articles in the communication field about this.
(Itâs me. Im going to do it đ)
When Zach says he thought itâd take more years for the audience to accept more people, I got struck by the thought that⊠it did, in a way? Jared, Kwesi, Jonny, YB, theyâve been here a long time! Guests have been here for so long, it didnât feel like some switcheroo, but natural growth of what we already had! Iâm so happy they are official Try Cast now!
I know everyone is here for the funny, but I'd love to see more behind the scenes content like this that talks about numbers, scheduling, any of it. I think it's really inspirational for creators and people in general who work in business and want to transition.
I second that âș
Agreed! They have ten years of experience that others can learn from. I think itâs also really interesting to learn about the behind the scenes things and would definitely watch their content on that đ
This would be a great idea a behind the scenes or day in the life behind the scenes. I'd be all over that.
Agreed!
Same!!! Iâve always loved when they talk about how they navigate the industry and run their business
Keith saying stampy stomp just made me realize that the triceratop's foot in the logo does the stomp thing too! Omg it's so cute đ„șâ€
WHO EVER HAD THE IDEA FOR THE STOMP, YOU ARE NOW MY FAVORITE FUCKING PERSON. ITS THE CUTEST THING ON MY TV
Honestly at first I was confused and sceptical, but for the price and knowing I'm actually going to have multiple series I genuinely enjoy AND no ads - this is the future of entertainment. Especially if netflix brings in adverts, fuck that bring on the independent quality shows with the money actually going to the creators
A documentary for 2nd Try? I am opening my champagne for it
Ok hear me, either stop putting glass around Zach or do a 24hr video with him surrounded by glass except for bathroom breaks of course
Zach was around a lot of glass, lots of broken glass in the glass blowing video. Even had glass explode in his hand in that video
@@jmason1770 And it almost gave me a heart attack! lol
Toilets are porcelain
There's something to be said about the obvious enthusiasm you all had for the launch. I think that's what really sold me. From the launch video to Eugene's departure video, to this. No one involved is lacking for excitement at this next chapter. Sharing the steps and the time and energy that it took to get to this point is really eye opening. Saying 'we've been planning this for over a year' is one thing, but actually sharing the steps and difficulties that y'all pushed through to get here really shows that, hey, this is not a cash grab, this is not a quick decision made because they've been losing views/subscribers/money, this is not a random new business venture in the hope of increasing cash flow. This is a massive project that will benefit not just the cast and crew but the audience as well. I wasn't sure if i'd be subscribing because I'm not that active of a viewer, and youtube could be enough for me, but I'm starting to think I might. This is giving 'rise from the ashes' vibes and I'm excited to be here for it.
One of the reasons dropout is so successful, I think- is because they have some really hilarious show formats and cast members (like gamechanger and make some noise and d20) and then they really did an amazing job of sharing out clips on TikTok and insta- I was following those accounts for months, loving the clips before I finally caved and wanted to see more. Now Iâm a diehard subscriber, and I wasnât an original dropout or collegehumour fan. So if try guys wants to drive subscribers from more than their original base, they should focus on their material and clip-worthy marketing.
5:08 Keith flying Spirit Airlines; the lengths the Try Guys will go for their audience has reached whole new levels.
LOL Should be top comment! đ
Wow yeah I didnât even notice that. You can tell how amazing their characters are. What a wonderful and rare group.
never flown or heard of spirirt airlines, is it an airline that has quite bad rep and is budget?
It's called spirit airlines because you'll be a ghost after taking one of their flights.
Can I ask whats the relation with Spirit Airlines? I'm not American.
I think it's really great how open about this whole process you guys have been since the announcement. Honestly, it has reinvigorated my enjoyment for the Try Guys. I feel like I'm really feeling how excited you all are for the future, and I've been binging so many of my fave videos the past few weeks. I really am excited to see how 2nd Try continues going forward. Love you all, keep up the awesome work!
The âDay Onesâ YB and Miles, so so very proud of them â€
I'm gonna go ahead and say Johnny will be the Shayne Topp of 2nd Try. The guy that's not Anthony or Ian from Smosh, but quickly become the fans favorite and later some sort of "golden child."
Pretty sure thatâs already Kwesi?
I'd say Kwesi honestly - or more like personally I guess haha
Also maybe that elephant in the room had to happen for you guys to have such an amazing cast cause I honestly love everyone !
I think so. The dead weight was cut and they got so much bigger and better because of it.
Truly the silver lining of a shitty situation
Yep, I've been watching since the BuzzFeed days, and I enjoy their videos so much more now, without all that over-macho bullđ€ą that Elephant brought.
LOVE the new cast esp. Jonny, Marissa, Jared and Kwesi - so many positive and inclusive vibes from them đ SO much love for Rachel too; it's been lovely seeing more of her and learning about what she does behind the scenes!!
Wishing the whole team every success in the next 10years!! đ„đđ„ł
I hope you bring back Without Instructions. Mainly to see Jarrod try and use a sewing machine đ. And, I donât know why, but I feel like Ash would be a complete natural at it even if heâs never sewn anything before
When they started talking about Eugene and Eugene was talking, I started crying and then once they said, ânow look at Keithâ and he made a funny face. I stopped crying and started laughing đ
I will admit, I was one of those reddit skeptics who let the comparison to Watcher taint my impression of it. But y'all executed this launch so well. At first I was like " wow, they pulled it off, wishing them success!" but wasnât going to subscribe, but the way you've talked about the new cast and the potential for them to get their own spotlight shows in the future made me want to buy in. And honesty? I'm enjoying it so much. It's right next to Dropout on my Roku menu.
Whereas I subscribe to corridor digital, who has a youtube and they have the same sort of ideas, with things on their site first, and a handful of things only for their site, and I love it so much and watch nearly every video they make, so I had a great experience to compare it to.
@@redheadfaerie I've been a Dropout subscriber as long as there's been a Dropout, so I should've had that in mind going in. What happened with Watcher really tainted my perception that much.
â@@CJMGalaxy Honestly I think your reaction was probably pretty common Watcher just finished badly fumbling a streaming service and there is a not insignificant overlap in people who watch both. But it honestly didn't take long for a lot of people to realize that this was very very different it was much more well thought out and they really did think about their subscribers who can't afford to pay for another streaming service(or any streaming service for that matter) and they found a way to make it work. It was kind of wild seeing two different companies essentially launch a streaming service at the same time and watch one tumblr it spectacularly and the other stick the landing so well.
What is a Watcher?
Every time they pan to the launch party you can just see Lauren holding up her phone and smiling like a proud mom and its so heart warming.
I'm so glad that Keith and Zach brought light to the fact that Eugene has been *deprioritizing* his creative projects in order to continue supporting 2nd Try. So many people have characterized Eugene's absences as selfish or as if he's bored of the channel when he has always been incredibly selfless and devoted to it. Eugene absolutely deserves the opportunity to go after his dreams and I'm glad this launch has allowed him to do that.
The people saying that what you make hasn't got enough value to warrant a paywall, are the people who were never your audience in the first place.
Try Guys has enormous value to a very big audience, and those of us who can afford it will 100% support it.
I actually wasn't watching as much of you guys because my attention spent on youtube has been really diluted. I've subbed to 2nd try cause I'm actually excited to watch creators I care about in a space away from the chaos of my youtube reccomended.
I think I will be watching more now đ
So proud of you guys!! It's been nearly 10 years watching you guys. 10 years well spent! Here's to the next 10!âšïžâšïžâšïžâšïžâšïžâšïž
I think the try guys is valuable but as a fan also can acknowledge the pricing issue for those outside the US with pricing being very similar to some of the biggest streaming services like Disney+ that also offers family sharing which I donât believe 2ndTry does.
@@Wonderland2097 I suppose they could offer a family sharing plan or something alike - that shows thereâs room to grow. Iâd also argue that they arenât a big corp, like Disney or the like, and they are navigating their resources differently.
I see this as a halfway house between a Patreon situ and the subscription TV format weâre used to. We canât make the same demands of them that we can of much larger and well financed corporations and companies.
For me at least, itâs a case of, if you can afford it (and want to) - buy in! Donât expect the same kind of deal we get from the big companies - of course, ask for what we want to see more of, and for improvements, but accept that if we want to keep seeing the content and people we love, that theyâve gotta find a way to keep the money cogs turning.
âblew up for no particular reasonâ đ
Misbehavin' donut made a mess!đđ
I would give anything to know how the guys felt when Watcher revealed they were making their own channel and all of the backlash that followed. It had to influence some of their decisions even just a little bit.
Zach was talking about comparisons and it was very clear that he was referring to Watcher đ
@@frances6903 Yeah, but I meant more specifically on that day of the Watcher reveal. Imagine you spend almost an entire year on starting this video streaming app only for someone else to dip their toe in the water first and get eaten by a shark. I'm sure they at least took notes on what not to do.
The difference in how Watcher made their announcement vs how Zach and Keith set theirs up is worlds, worlds apart. Im pretty sure they took note of Watcher as a what-not-to-do then went back to concentrating on what they needed to do going forward
I think not speaking about it was the classy move we all know Watcher turned into a cautionary tale of how to hurt your own brand and fan base, for those thinking of moving, this wasn't that 2nd Try incorporated leaving CZcams intact for their fan base and also it still makes them money they just aren't beholden to CZcams/Google.
Iâm glad they were more vague on that topic. I imagine they are still friends with the Watcher gang, it would have been sucky of them to dwell in their friendâs downfall..
They've been thru the fuck that place era, the fuck that guy era, the fuck it era and now, hopefully they are in their fuck yeah era
i'm kinda a business coach as part of my day job and I would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU FOR THE TRANSPARENCY!!! you guys are really pulling back the curtain on entrepreneurship and showing how is *does* work - collaboration and valuing your craft (which includes valuing the other people, staff, even competition) đ
Incredible it took Try Guys 365 days to launch a baby, congrats
I was thinking, "oh, cool. They're doing the Dropout model. Love that." And then Sam Reich showed up and I squeaked a little. Nice!
Same đ
I feel like the Greater Media Reception was kind of inevitable, especially with the timing being so shortly after the whole Watcher debacle, "drama clicks" etc, but y'all handled it very gracefully. The people who will actually be subscribing are the same people who knew how bs the SNL sketch was: actual fans who can see the genuine passion and care behind all of this, and who are excited for the new slate of cast and shows to come! Very excited to see this new era for everyone involved
I cannot IMAGINE the amount of stress it took to create 2nd Try, from getting advice and input from Dropout father Sam Reich to the big Watcher moment just WEEKS before launch. Regardless of what anyone says, I still have nothing but massive respect to you guys for handling this big change with as much grace as you have, and with proof of your integrity still intact.
I feel like we just go married again is such a corporate besties vibe
Talking with Sam was the right move to understand the model. And like CR, Dropout, and others have found - crossover content drives SO MUCH. Linkages to everyone and everything out there with an audience. A whole new perspective of "Try"ing.
If we ever get any CR or D20 people on 2DTry I will loose my mind!!đđ
ââ@@olgalevkovets2377getting Matt or Brennan on to do another "try ttrpg" episode with the new cast would be amazing
itâs like a cinematic universe
@@bonkers1917 FCKU - Free Creators Kinematic Universe
Yeah, the folks at Loading Ready Run also learned that a while ago, too. And theyâve been fiercely independent (with only one or two major sponsorship deals) for 20+ years. And no drama! (knocks wood)
Jared and Kwesi really sold it for me. Jared in particular makes me cackle everytime. Heâs so charming and funny
I grew up with you guys, not from kids to adults, but from young adults to adults. To see you taking these risks, building what you have, consulting, learning, growing, fearing, succeeding... i'm so thankful to have been a part of making your dreams come true.
Creators owning their own art is a necessity, and that means not depending on the whims of a platform like CZcams. And I prefer this much better to creators turning into salespeople pushing products in our faces. I'm glad it worked for them! Watcher did it in the worst way possible lmao
Okay so I already got it, it runs so smoothly, and I can confirm it is the non-CZcams version đđ lmao itâs like the regular version vs. the radio edit on yt
Getting teary over here because the way this is edited reminded me of "Why we started our own company". They've come such a long way đđđ
Love this docu-style breakdown of everything thatâs happened over the last year, love everything yall have been doing đ„Č
Please please please do another city scavenger hunt I loved the Vegas one so much â€
YESS
I love how Sam is so forthcoming with the information about how he started dropout and the mistakes he made!
Cailyn needs all the raises possible that girl is a PRODUCER
The thing is, is that this new cast was announced, but in my mind, as a regular viewer, I already knew all these people and how funny they are. So, to me, the announcement was more of making them "official" members, rather than seeing it as "brand new", which made it all the more exciting. This is ALL due to how well the company did with slowly bringing in these new people very soon after the rebrand after he who shall not be named left and letting us get to know them before they became official members. Very very smartly planned out and well done!!
Its so sad that one person can F*ck up so mutch for so many people! Am so happy you guys got thour it and found a way to make it yours agien! The world sucks for makeing fun of others trama. I wish you all the best and some peace of mind now!
7:16 THIS PICTURE IS SO CUTE I AM GOING TO IMPLODE
As a fan of both channels (but definitely more enthusiastic and long-term a fan of Try Guys) I would love to see a neutral party business-themed CZcamsr do a deep dive breakdown on why this worked and Watcherâs didnât. Like I have my own personal beliefs but I would like to watch a person really lay out numbers and reasoning
i loved and appreciated the âfuck itâ era and i think a majority of us can agree! it was fun and carefree and it always brought me joy
The little stomp in the logo is everythingggg đ
It's SOOO cute!
Honestly, I'm just so happy that you found an alternative to shutting the whole show down â€ïž
As someone who never really cared about Try Guys stuff, but has gotten really into Dropout's content over the past few years, I'm really keen to see how this new era of online media goes. I hope 2nd Try goes well, and I'll probably give it a go if there's a series that really piques my interest.
Truly so encouraged by your risk taking and focus on process and community. And the wherewithal to see responses as donât hate the player hate the game. I love yâallâs integrity to each other and your work and your art play and content and I truly hope that the Lord bless this coming season of 2nd Try with so much more abundance and fruit in magical ways than can ever be expected. Iâve loved watching yâall and following what youâre up to over the past⊠decade??? Since Iâve been in high school. And while I wasnât sure if I would join this new platform, now I really want to. Because I know that the joy and community behind that paywall (LMAO) will be so worth. (I LOVED THE TRAIN SHOW the name is leaving me now) but I canât wait to see the joy and work that yâall create that comes out of your own expression as opposed to pandering to an algorithm. I cant wait.
The *best* possible start to my weekend.
I love you guys. Also, mad respect for how you handled all those idiots reporting on the non-drama, I personally find myself so irked everytime I see them pop up, but as always, you handled it with perfect decorum. Love from France! Can't wait to see how Keith ruins the cuisine next! :D
Having been a fan of The Try Guys since their days at BuzzFeed, I'm ridiculously happy and proud of all of the Try staff for the amount of time, energy, and thought that they've put into making 2nd Try. These folks have been through so much in the last couple of years from the donuts shop burning down to glass, a wedding, a broadway show, a new baby, and navigating CZcams's crazy algorithm demands. Everyone deserves to celebrate this monumental accomplishment!
15:05 âI feel we just got married againâ haha best wishes you guys đâ€
Eagerly hoping for a comeback of the Barkchshler with the 2nd Try Network đ
You know I realized why patreons and things line this do so good, itâs because of FOMO. Iâm sitting here, not even a full die hard fan or the guys but still thinking about the content Iâll miss. Iâm broke as hell so either way I wonât be able to get it but damn the marketing game is real
Already subscribed to 2nd try specifically for smoke show but I am so excited to see everything! I'm also excited to see more Joyce, Marissa, and Jared! I'm so happy for you all in this new venture, Eugene included.
What sets y'all apart is that you care about your crew and this isn't some cash grab thing. We're subscribed to Dropout and love it dearly and that's what this feels like. I've been following from the beginning and love the stuff you all come up with.
I'm glad y'all are reaching for new heights and going for it! I'd love more behind the scenes footage like this too if you all ever get the chance to do more of it. đ
as a very young try guys fan, since the buzzfeed era the fuck it era was one of my favorite eras from y'all i understood it was super difficult for y'all to say the least but it was nice & very comforting to see how instead of you guys putting the "everything is fine & pretend nothing ever happened" front practically straight out of a pr damage control group , y'all kinda faced it head on & acknowledged it happened because it did, im very sad that the views tanked but it was very fun to see yall let go a bit, have some fun, expiriement & embrace the chaos because chaos it was. it was very fun & refreshing seeing the new dynamics post drama and see new dynamics when new people are introduced & behind the scenes in 2nd try, one thing is great highly produced video another thing is just to see a place where good people work with other good people & they both have alot of fun & care about eachother
11:27 thanks for reminding me i haven't done wordle and connections today!
After everything theyve been through, i appreciate so much that they didnt just give up. They reinvented and kept going, and reinventing again. This shows how much they really thought through the new change â€
Also, they have such a great new cast! Love the expansion. Miles has always been the 5th try guy, we've begged for kwesi, and now we're getting both of them and more! đ
someone probably pointed this out already, but the diverse fun cast doing shennannigans was a part of the best era of buzzfeed too, many creators we follow to this day would just show up in random videos and win the audience over, so it really feels like you guys took the best of each experience to make something new, and I'm excited! Your launch was done so right too, its going to be amazing!
"he's been one of the great collaborators of my life" wowow Zack, didn't know I was gonna cry this afternoon
We tend to like our ensemble groups in fours, it's a nice number. I will remember the pre-scandal days with fondness; and really, even with no scandal, it's unrealistic to think that y'all could have gone on like that forever, especially with growing families. I've enjoyed getting to know through the Fuck-It Era those who are now cast members, and I believe that every single one of them will do well for y'all. My fixed-income budget allows for only one subscription, and it's one dedicated to saving democracy in the U.S. But if my situation ever improves, I will certainly invest in your Patreon. Please know that I love y'all as much as I did when I discovered y'all years ago.
reddit hates everything, never take your business advice from reddit. excited to sub to 2nd try in the future when i can afford it :]
I subbed to 2nd Try as soon as you guys launched it and itâs great. Been a fan for years and Iâm excited for the new era of Try Guys. Happy Eugene is getting to do his projects but helped to get this new chapter started before heading out. Really loving the new cast of characters joining you as well.
I really love how you rolled out this change. I understand as an audience member feeling sad or disconnected after big changes with creators, but the communication and behind the scenes makes us feel a part of it / not confused by the changes
After spending ten years rooting for the Try Guys, I don't think its possible to stop supporting your work, you've kept us laughing through some challenging times, and we love you guys for the community you've help create and content that keeps us smiling, congrats, and wishes for continued success.
Iâve never subbed to a Patreon or something like that but I wholeheartedly believe you the whole try guy team that I felt I couldnât not support! Theyâve kept me entertained for so many years, the least I can do is get 2nd try. I love It, and Iâm so hyped to be apart of it!
Just huge props to you guys for taking this move and for also showing how much you truly appreciate the fans. I will admit I was very nervous with the videos going behind a paywall due to the Watcher situation, but I truly appreciate keeping us updated on everything and still posting to CZcams. I wish the Try team nothing but so much success and happiness on this new adventure!
It's nice that the H3 podcast could take some time away from excusing war crimes to be jealous of people more talented and successful than them.
I love seeing Zach and Keith along with all these new favorites! I love seeing Jared in videos, and Johnny has SO MUCH creative energy.
I love all of the new people but Jared, Johnny and Marissa are my favourites, I watched everything they are in.
Zach; hair is looking AMAZING !
I've been watching you guys since you guys were still in BuzzFeed and in school (wow it doesn't feel that long ago but goddamn-)
I love throughout all of this you 3 have stayed so strong. Even with Eugene being gone and starting his new journey, he's still always be there to support the group and see it grow. Keith and Zach, you guys have been so strong through all of this. Drama and scandals were probably never on your bingo cards for your careers, but you guys did it! I'm genuinely SO excited for this and it feels kind of refreshing knowing that the group is expanding. Seeing all the whole cast in one photo shows how much you guys have changed and seeing SOOOO much diversity in the group is so incredible.
Seriously, you guys are a group I've seen like no other on CZcams. A lot of the time groups that have disbanded just give up and move onto different careers. But you guys chose to compromise, plan, and work through so much and ended up creating something so much more exciting! I look forward to the future and so happy for you guys
I know it didnât feel like it at the time, but Nedâs colossal fuckup is the best thing that ever happened to the Try Guys. Love the app!
would have loved to see their reaction to the Watcher fiasco. It must have been a little scary for them, I can only imagine it prompted some restructuring of the business model.
Thankfully Try Guys seem to have planned the switch very well from the ground up so I doubt they had to switch much at the last moment. They might have rephrased part of the reveal and knew what to focus on highlighting, but the core structure seem to have been planned right from the start
I suppose they touched on it at 12:48 when Zach said "so much of it is just... comparison". but, like I said, it would have been interesting to see if it rattled them pre-launch.
There is no way they could have restructured anything but the announcement script or the wording on the IG posts in one month. This was a year in the works, a month is not enough time to turn around on anything.
Aren't they friends wirh the guys in watcher? I don't think they eill ever talk about it.
