D1015 'Western Champion' Returns to the Mainline - "The One-Way Wizzo" - 14/04/24

Diesel Traction Group's Class 52, D1015 'Western Champion' returned to the mainline today on it's loaded test run stroke railtour. This consisted of Load 13 with GBRf 57303 providing power to the coaches on the rear. Ran by UK Railtours in conjunction with Pathfinder tours, we see D1015 power past Great Bourton (north of Banbury) working 1Z56 London Paddington to Birmingham New Street. The Class 52 took the tour as far as Bescot Down Yard where it returned solo to Kidderminster, and 57303 took over for the last stretch.
