Changing the Feed dog on a Durkopp Adler 205-370

This video is about how to swap out the feed dog on a Durkopp Adler 205-370 sewing machine. This video is an update to an earlier version where I did not use the set screw to fix the spring loaded hook backing ring in place.

Good day, could you help me?
I have a sewing machine Durkopp Adler 5-25A with a pawing foot it is a very old machine and there is no partist, but several spare parts such as the Foot, Teeth and plate are lost.
Can I install the same parts that you installed on the video or what parts do I need?

I've never worked on an Adler 5-25, so I can't say for sure if the feed dog (bottom feed) and throat plates are interchangeable, sorry.The Adler 5-25 is a top+bottom feed machine (no walking foot) and the presser feet are definitely different based on photos of the Adler 5-25. They are very old machines and finding parts may be difficult, especially if you don't have originals with part numbers on them.

Sorry I missed your question, Helena. Ebay is a good source to buy needles. In the U.S., Weaver Leather Supply (www.weaverleathersupply.com) carries both needles and spacer rings. In Europe College Sewing (www.college-sewing.co.uk) is a good source for parts. You can always order parts directly from Durkopp Adler, too (www.duerkopp-adler.com/de/main/distributors/)
