Red Bot Chili Peppers: I made a bot write a Red Hot Chili Peppers Song

- Using lyrics.rip to scrape the Genius Lyrics Database, I made a Markov Chain write RHCP lyrics. This is the end result- "Tool Shed".
All music/vocals performed, mixed, and mastered by me, in my kitchen, on a couple of cheap guitars, a crappy mic, and an old copy of ProTools. All lyrics provided by SKYNET (AKA lyrics.rip). I tried to get that funky RHCP sound a la "Give it Away". "Can't Stop" or "Suck My Kiss". My impression of Anthony Kiedis is not great but, eh, what the heck. Guitars are cheap Stratocasters bounced hard left and right. Bass is a no-name bass run through amp emulation. Talkbox is a Pro Tools Plugin. Percussion is Superior Drummer 2.
As always, extra special thanks to the geniuses behind lyrics.rip - @thesephist and @jajoosam

Please make a DragonForceAI track, it'd be interesting to see how many "So Far Away's" one bot can take lmao.
Which drum pack did you use for this in Superior Drummer 2?
@@JediCrackSmoke I'll have to look, I know I tweaked on it pretry hard. I know the snare was the Nir-Z snare for sure. Then I bounced that out to two separate stereo tracks and mtiband compressed each one differently- one heavy, one light, and blended them together.
They should of made it into the song before Josh left
Les Claypool/Primus. I know you can.
There were actually fewer mentions of California than I expected.
Weirdly enough quite a few refences to other states, I think the bot saw how often the RHCP refence California and decided that their thing was name-dropping states in general
ikr
@@rattyeely to be fair they have lyrics about Pennsylvania too so at least there's more than 1 state for the bot to get that idea from
It just probably mimic the lyrics from Dani California
I don’t know why people think they are constantly mentioning california, like they really aren’t... i guess cause of the major hits..
When he said “BA-DI BA-DA BA-ZUMBA CRUNGA CONG GONE BAD”
I felt that in my soul.
Fun fact: that's from soul to Squeeze!
BA-DI BA-DA (BA-ZUMBA CRUNGA CONG) (GONE BAD!!!)
@@caesarorzell600 yeah that's why it got liked
Isnt it a pain when your favourite line of the song is impossible to spell in th comments? :D
Because you've been assimilated by the Borg.
"I'm a Hollywood first born unicorn" is actually pretty sick
Alex Valdivia firstborn unicorn is actually from Californication lol
Right ?
and would make sense as RHCP as Kedis is an LA boi
Ayo Ayo AYO
That killed me 😂
James Hetfield: I am the table
Anthony Kiedis: I'm the tool shed
The bot decided that Hetfield is the sun. No longer the table.
AI Hetfield: "I'M THE SUN, I'M INSANE !"
James Hetfield: I'm the sun, I'm Insane
Anthony Kiedis: California
Brian Johnson: I'm a ball
Don’t Forget Him
You can't lie to me.
This is a real RHCP song.
it is well made
That's exactly what I was thinking!
@Kerry Howard lol, then you don't know their music
@Kerry Howard They were actually quite a good band up to Blood Sugar Sex Magik. It's only after this album that they became a parody of themselves and started making shitty pop songs.
@@mugwump7049 They've made amazing songs throughout all of their careers
There’s definitely enough California and Drugs for this to be classified as an RHCP song...but insufficient sexual references 😂
His tool is so big he is the tool shed.
You better not be hwacking off in my tool shed again! -Hank Hill
'Come again get me excited' not sexual enough for you? Haha.
he didn't give it to my momma 😭😩
@@joer-tard2821 oh, he will.
"You got to believe I'm the tool shed.
Tell me to entertain ya."
That's RHCP distilled to their essence.
Tool sheds, who knew they can be entertaining!?
Anthony’s lyrics are usually a little off the wall. Honestly, this sounds exactly like something they might write. Frighteningly so.
50% random RHCP lyrics
50% Around the world lyrics
I want to see what a bot makes of all the various Tool lyrics.
A tool shed.
I would imagine the pieces wouldn't fit anymore
The bot would just spiral out, and also keep going.
The bot would just go deep within the borderline.
Already done. It's called Rosetta Stoned.
The verse “I’m a meth lab, first rehab” worked so well, and that talk box solo was AMAZING...so good!
It's an actual lyric from 'don't forget me'.
This is incredible.
😃
'I'm a meth lab, first rehab'
Couldn't be more rhcp
They are actual lyrics from the song 'dont forget me'
Isaac Howell yeah a good amount of these lines are straight out of songs and not mixed up at all
There’s a lot of random tidbits of RHCP songs here. I’ve also noticed some Californication, Dani California and Go Robot
bc, that's a real lyric from , "This is the place". A bunch of ppl commenting that have very limited peripheral knowledge of RHCP, this is what you get.
@@matguerra333 haha lol aaand youre wrong, my expert bro
When the song starts - "This probably won't be much different than your regular RHCP song in terms of lyrics."
1:36 - "PFFFFFFFFFF"
Well it is from a RHCP song, so.
That' s the most accurate part actually
Yeah looked it up, from Soul to Squeeze. Knew it sounded familiar.
@@ecoRfan You mean the "ba-di ba-da" bit? ROFL! I can't believe Kiedis actually put that drivel in a song...
@@mugwump7049 a hater
I understand the meaning of this song more than any other Chillis song.
"I'm a meth lab
First rehab"
That line freaking killed me, oh my god this is beautiful.
It's an actual real RHCP lyric from Don't forget me, so not the work of a bot
@@Peterforever2 yeah it recycled dozens of whole phrases from the real songs
Listen to the song, Don’t Forget Me…. That line is recycled from the song
@@o.m.p.h.4483 that'll happen sometimes regardless and it's more likely the fewer options there are for the markov chain to pick from.
@@iamryan9234 That song was so intense for a RHCP song. Very profound for a teenager listening to it the first time.
This is like RHCP on acid making a song about themselves
Also, make a Muse bot
Muse would be great!
Oh, that's a great idea.
The Muse one would be 2 minutes of Matt Bellamy breathing into the microphone
@@bornencornen dad inside.
Yess a Muse one would be great
This funky robot is blessed with a bucket of lucky mobility.
“Slit my emotion” that’s a RHCP lyric for sure, this robot too smart bro
"Hold my brain; it's where I've been" is a fantastic line.
If Bob Dylan got a Nobel, imagine what Bot Dylan could Achive !
Omg Bot Dylan! Do it!!!
“I am the tool shed” was felt in the table.
Thank you if you got that.
I AM THE TABLE
PAPA HET!!
Ayo ayo ayo ayo.... my side!
This was perfect and seemed so freaking legit
Love how this captures the early 20s chili peppers sound so perfectly. This is what we all want from the chili peppers now John is back!
System of a Down gotta be the next !!!
Lol yes
It'll either be biting political satire or complete nonsense. I'm here for both.
"You, how do you own the pogo? How do you own the prison system?"
System Of AI Down
SO MUCH POTENTIAL YAAAASS
Tool Shed? Is this Tool covering a Meshuggah song? I'd hear that.
Scott Nielsen oh wow, thatd be mind breaking genre
This sounds like the chili peppers if they were all drunk.
So basically it sounds like RHCP
Let me re-phrase it: ''This sounds like the chilli peppers from mid 80s to mid 90s'' :)
This is like every single RHCP song and album mixed into one. It's insane, brilliantly done
Man, one day you'll feed it with Nirvana. I just know it.
Gonna be the most boring correct lyrics ever
Kurt wrote like a bot already, he called himself the king of illiterature
Botvana?
"He's the one. He likes all our pretty albinos. And he likes to sing our pain. And all in all his gun."
NirvanAI
RIP California and Indiana. Is this song what an acid trip is like? It makes very little sense.
Am I the only one who can imagine john frusciante back vocals in the chorus?
"Hey you're fine I know the reservation
Teach you the final location"
That's so RHCP it's scary🤣🤣
I challenge YOU to do that with Primus (Jerry the cat was a damned blue collar beaver?)
I think Nirvana would be hilarious too
Yes! Primus would be absolutely incredible!
O M G!
I'd love a Rush one but seriously who will do the vocals? 🤣
Fully convinced this is one of those tracks Mike Patton would perform live when he and RHCP were feuding years back.
Thats the guy behind Mr. Bungle right?
@@100GTAGUY Correct, though his output is vast and known under a dozen different acts. He is a ...polarizing figure, but if you have ever enjoyed anything under Mr. Bungle, you owe yourself a trip down the rabbit hole.
Dude, that is an INCREDIBLE impression! If I heard that on the radio I would totally believe it was their newest single.
A "Binary Al" Yankovic would be interesting to see, whether it's along the lines of one of his original songs / style parodies, or "Bot Hits Polka"
Weird A.I. Yankovic
@@rogercameron6912 Friends, it's there for the taking.

"Because I'm FAT32, I'm FAT32, come on!"
Botolka
“You’ve got to believe, I’m the tool shed”
James Hatfield: “Yeah? Well, I AM THE TABLE!”
And the SUN!
LOL - these are actually no better or worse than Anthony's lyrics!
That's because most of them are literally just lines from existing RHCP songs. You'd get the same effect if you took a random line from each song without a bot.
This a b-side from one hot minute.
I think the more you do this, the closer to sentience this Markov Chain is becoming. You might be unleashing the rise of the machines on us!
Not sure if "ba-di ba-da ba-zumba crunga cong gone bad" will help much in that matter...
@@mugwump7049 oh, you say it as if humanity makes a lot of sense so far.
@@jkobain At least humans are generally intelligible. Kiedis, well...
@@mugwump7049 well, know that I'm not a human.
The fact there's more lyrics then just California surprises me

0:40-43 around the world
0:44 im not sure but maybe dont forget me

1:53 dani California
2:00 californication
2:02 goodbye angels
Ill skip the chorus
1:35 is soul to squeeze
“My friend” is used in a lot of songs
Please feed some songs by The Cure into the bot. If the bot doesn't kill itself, I want to hear the most depressing song on Earth.
The editing on these just keeps getting better and better :D Can't wait for the Pink Floyd one
This sounds perfectly fine. Like your typical Red Hot Chilli Peppers song.
This is so accurate, I find the random shoehorned in lyrics from actual songs to be funny and the chorus is pretty catchy
Fuck it even got Kiedis' propensity for name dropping cities for a rhyme
The meaning I got from this (at least from the chorus) is that this dude basically knows he's just a tool, but he doesn't really care about being used. Hell, he's actually kind of into it
I am shocked it didn't write a song where every 3rd word was California.
Also that chord progression of the chorus is lit.
I bet with the outstanding worknive seen you do already you could do up one HELL of a queen song! Thatd be one I'd love to see!
As a self proclaimed rhcp superfan, this was entertaining to see. Very accurate
This is actually fire, a song like this in The Getaway would have been great
I'm with you needed the funky energy found in this song more than any other RHCP album
@@HasClipz i kind of agree but at the same time "i'm with you" is so cohesive that i just listen to another one of their albums if i feel like listening to this energy.
honest to god if anthony kiedis wass singing this it would legitametly be an RHCP song. im a huge RHCP fan n this is so accurate its funny asf
These are freakin’ rad and well done. Keep up the good work
This is just amazing. I literally just was thinking about needing a chili pepper music and here it is. Love how much it could be a legit song by them!
"I'm a meth lab and a tool shed." Anthony Kiedis, 2020
Oh, you just got to do the Talking Heads
great job on the performance/mixing, sounds just like them
to me these videos make it worth getting up in the morning
Korn. We need a Korn video now. 😂
Your skill to go from the rapping voice to a melodic one is really awesome
Now that this song has launched on Spotify, i'm listening to it more than any actual RHCP song. Thank you, Funk Turkey
"I'm a Hollywood first-born unicorn". THAT's one heck-uv-a good lyric right there. I hope Anthony steals it.
Now I want a shirt "I'm the tool shed".
I wanna see what kind of insanity you can cook up with an Iron Maiden version.
Aces run high in the hills, with an albatross around the neck of icaras.
@@mwhearn1 fear of the number of thy priest.
Absolutely their style))) but still sounds like a "tailored" work
RHCP would be smart to call their next album Tool Shed. Release this track as a promotional prank to help sell the next album.
I'd be really interested to see what a bot would do with Sabaton
The Rusians fighting on German tanks against the Swedish Empire in Shiroyama
Sabaton gets drunk and forgets how historic battles happened
When he said "I'm the Tool Shed" I felt that 😔👊
Can totally imagine this playing on retail stores’ speakers someday. Makes shopping that much more fun. Quite a banger.
Well... This makes just about as much sense as a normal RHCP song.
1:36 I felt that. These lyrics were deep.
i feel like its cheating to use full phrases from their actual songs... Like "Come again get me excited" and "I'm a meth lab, first rehab" both of which are actual lines from the great song Don't Forget Me, from By The Way.
But still very cool, and especially for this band, whose lyrics are all typically random-sounding phrases.
That's what AI will do though. You train it on data and then ask it to output something like what it was trained on. If you train it too much it will eventually just give back what you trained it on, essentially memorizing the data. That seems to be the case here where some lyrics are just the input data being remade by the AI.
Joshua Kurtenbach yeah I kinda figured as much. I’m not blaming the AI as much as the programmer, who I feel should have chosen not to use the direct lines, though maybe they didn’t bother to check every one.
I was playing around with a Markov chain... er, programmer? Just the first one I clicked on from Google and it gave an option of phrase length or something of that nature. If you set it too high it’d take full stanzas of songs. Too low, it’d be a jumbled mess with no coherent phrasing at all. I suspect, since this guy probably has a job and this is just to scratch an itch and appease us music geeks, he probably found a sweet spot and just stuck with it.
Give this man an award!
York Martin oh that definitely makes sense. If it were me I’d try and set the phrase length just a tiny bit smaller, if possible. But I could see even one step smaller turning it into complete nonsense. Which is just like Anthony Kiedis’s lyrics.
Songs I can detect lyrics from
The Getaway: Go Robot, Goodbye Angels, Encore
Stadium Arcadium: Dani California, Wet Sand
By the Way: Don’t Forget Me, Can’t Stop
Californication: Around the World, Californication, Otherside, Scar Tissue
BSSM: Soul to Squeeze (b-side), Under the Bridge
To name a few
I loved it. Man, you have some talent. I would love to hear you do this for the Grateful Dead
No metaphors in this song . It says exactly what it means .
“I’m a Hollywood first born unicorn”
Ain’t gonna lie, that’s a pretty dope lyric
A possible new weird al? You got chops. I have listened to all ibot songs now and if you played live I'd buy a ticket. Very well done sir.
The talk box is a really nice touch!
I wonder how a Offspring song would come out with the bot...
"All the girls say nothing's free."
@@raydonahue1978 "she's got issues and it's hard to see"
"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa"
"yah yah yah yah yah" ✔️
Man, for a cheap recording rig, this sounds good! Almost sounds like a regular rhcp record from the 90s lol
80s
Your backing tracks are just spot on, for all the bands you do! Haha. The bot lyrics take a backseat (but they're hilarious nonetheless).
This reminds me of Look Around mixed with 90's RHCP style
I wish you would do bot song of:

Kraftwerk
Disney
Eminem
Nice. How about System of a Down next?
hahah i love your channel! great stuff man!!
Damn i think i caught the origin of 80% of these lyrics
I’m a Hollywood first born unicorn 🦄😂
Do Leonard Cohen or Sinatra... I think there’s some good material there!
Frank Sinatra and Frankie valli are good
"Everybody knows that I'm your man"
Ok, so the bot pukes out the lyrics. Perhaps.
Who plays the music?
Sounds good.
Sometimes.
Man all of these are great. "I'M A METH LAB" hahahahaha. This is quality entertainment. Keep doing what you do!
This is amazingggg ahahahahahahh!!! i love the RHCP and i love this song!!!! ahahhahaahahh!!! i just saw your channel a few days ago cause this song was shared on FB in one page about the RHCP fans,i also check it out your previous BOT songs, ahahahaahahahah the AC/DC one is epic!!!! anyway about next songs,i would like hear something from Guns And Roses,or Ozzy Osbourne or Black Sabbath :D
If I didn't know any better it sounds like something they'd actually make hahah
“Drew some blood loss in your best friend”
that doesn’t sound very comfortable
This channel is a legend in the making
I'm a huge peppers fan... And I totally love this song here haha. It's awesome like straight from Anthony
Sublime, Ghost, or The Rolling Stones next maybe?
Sublime would be hilarious
Sublime would be awesome
I can’t believe a bot actually did this, the future is not now. The future passed, now we’ll control it...
This sounds perfect!
