You are such a great friend to the outdoors! The 🐸 🐸 🐸 frogs are going to love this! They should help control the mosquitoes 🦟 in your yard. Just a little tip, if you want moss to grow on any surface, you put 1sq inch(of moss) in to the blender with buttermilk and blend. Then you can "paint" it on to whatever you want it to grow on. Love your videos 📹! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 🌍!
This is why people like Post deserve to have their own homes. He uses all his property and Wisley at that. your mom must be proud of how you turned out! Good job
I wish more people spoke kindly like you. Sometimes it feels like it's all negativity and venom, nobody sees we can be more than the sum of our flaws. Thank you for your example, I appreciate you.
I accidentally started a new frog colony several years ago when I bought an old Jet Ski and parked it near our creek. Discovered a bunch of tree frogs under the seat and they wandered off to the creek and now we have another type of frog. Frogs and toads are outstanding little animals
I'm glad you care about frogs (and that you think about other little animals that might get trapped in your ponds). When my husband and I moved to his dad's house, shortly before he passed away from Alzheimer's, we did improvements to the 9.6 acres... including an unused swimming pool. Although it had been covered with a tarp, it was filled with tadpoles. My husband was just going to shock the water with chlorine, which would kill them all, of course. I used a skimmer net to safely remove them and carried them in pails to a nearby stream. 🐸
Saving frogs lives...that is why we love you Post 10...you have a good kind heart. Make sure to cover you frog tanks with some dry grasses in spots so the tadpoles have some place to hide so they don't get picked off by other animals. You can actually save your dads statue...take "liquid nails" buy at home depot etc and squeeze/push into the cracks. Let it dry and paint the statue. Liquid Nails the original works really well. I used it when my concrete bird bath top cracked in half 6 years ago. I still has held together perfectly. I would be a shame to throw it away.
Awesome video! Love how long it is. I'm so happy you are up in my native state, stewarding the forest and providing for the wildlife. Just luv ya, Post. I hope someday you have some sons and daughters who grow up to be just as hardworking, industrious and caring as you, and you can keep the world full of great people.
We have been trying to save the tree frogs here for over 2 decades. They lay in a puddle in the road and a neighbor finally filled it in. We keep a couple of kiddie pools out for them now. We have so many in one it almost looks black in the bottom. We have several types of frogs though so I am sure the larger ones feast on the smaller ones.
Very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the video! It took me back to my childhood. We lived close to some railroad tracks that had ditches that would generally fill to a foot to 18" deep in the spring. My dad, my brother, and I used to keep an eye on the ditches and used to play rescue to the tadpoles when the ditches started drying out. We would bring them home and put them in a rain water filled kids swimming pool along with some of the muck and grass from the ditch. They always seemed to do okay. I remember our side yard was so over run by frogs one year, we actually held off mowing as to not harm the frogs.
Flexzilla garden hose is the best that man can buy, outperforms every hose that I have had in the past 76 years. The Miracle Shrinking Fore-Skin Hose that I have isn't worth two dead nuts.
fantastic video , post your a star my friend , you do so much to help the wildlife , if everyone was like you the world would be a better place , i have a frog pond in the garden and i love the sound in the evenings , good luck with whatever you do .
The tunnels are from mice underneath the snow in the winter. If you've ever seen a fox dive headfirst into the snow, he's most likely going after a mouse in one of its tunnels..
I love all of your creative ideas and protection of the environment…..you’re such a hard working knowledgeable man….. thank you again for your great videos and advice 🏆🏆🏆
ooh thanks for saving the eggs! hope they hatch nice and smooth! we have ticks here too and they're the worst. they're constantly on the cat and i have to keep the lawn short so that they won't spread as much. when i still had mantids (i have videos of them on my channel if you're interested) i fed ticks to them once and even they wouldn't eat them! the drought is terrible over here in germland too. last year was so bad the water levels of really big rivers like the rhine and main really went down a lot and we weren't allowed to use up too much water >__
Someone's probably already said this but those barels are old Jack Daniels kegs.. made to store and give the drink its flavour and so on. The burnt inside helps give it a smokey flavour. 47 mins in the barel has a Jack Daniels logo on it. Also one of these can spend many many years just sat in the warehouse full of whisky.
Post, so glad you gave yourself this opportunity to have such a wonderful garden and forest area, It's going to be so great for you. My Grandparents had a really healthy vegetable patch for several decades, and I hope the same for you. Thanks on the frog's behalf, they will have a chance due to you!
I live in northern Canada and I get them markings all over my lawn every few years and here they are voles . Look like a mouse with a shorter tale . Half mole half mouse I believe
Your one of the few who knows what the term coexistence means in terms of sharing the area with wildlife, i think those who live in or next to the natural parts of the world know how to take care of it. To clairify this is merely my opinion/observation :). Other then that keep up all you do post :)
Just watched this video in its entirety. I have to watch it again because I should have written down some comments and questions I wanted to ask. Stay tuned…..🙂
I just moved into some acres and I’m from the city coming now born but came from the city there is a difference. I was raising fish in my pond and the first week I was here a raccoon or eagle Came and got them so this year I’m going to build my own cover .
I didn’t realize this was your channel Post 10. I subscribed to this channel a long time ago. Your content is so interesting today. I loved every minute of it
That was freaken awesome bro me and the wife just put in a pomd couple weeks ago we caught some tadpoles and masquito fish put them in.hope the deere dont destroy mine
I have a video idea for you. Since your forest is being killed by bugs, maybe you can record some projects to help the trees? Frogs eat bugs so thats a good start. And maybe cut down bad trees that they like to nest in. There's a lot of things that prey on your pests (like click beetles, lizards, woodpeckers) so maybe you could do something to improve their populations. Anyway good luck and thx for the videos.
The bugs are inside the tree and a Frog wouldn't help, I already contacted the EPA and there's really not much I can do without a giant environmental impact so overtime the pine trees evergreens are just going to slowly be replaced with things not affected with the bugs. The only trees I'm going to give treatment to are the ones blocking the highway from the house, I don't want to contaminate groundwater
I want chickens someday but I currently work 7 days on 7 days off because of 8 hours to work and they cannot be unattended that long because of bears and other predictor
I'm trying to imagine the flavor of Jack Daniels whiskey from an alternate universe where it's aged in charred cedar barrels instead of the charred white oak barrels used in our universe. My hunch is that our universe makes the superior tasting JD.
All that soil around the building is fill that was trucked in but last year when I had some excavation done they had to go around certain things because the Rocks were just too big
You are one of the nicest people on earth 🌎. You are so kind and considerate to everything. You make the world a much better place. 💜
Agree!
What a lucky day for those little frog babies. From a highway ditch to Froggy paradise, just waiting for them to be born. 💚

He literally lives in a swamp. Frogs dont require help or they would have gone extinct eons ago.
@@ultimaetsolder he literally explained that during the drought thousands of eggs/tadpoles died last year...
@@ultimaetsolder I’m sure he knows that . I’m sure he makes enough cash from CZcams so he’s got the time

Thanks Mr post. I’m a lazy kind of guy, I’ve retired so I can be. You video gave me the incentive to repot my tomato and cucumber plants.
Good on you for giving baby animals a chance!

i love what you did for those frogs
I really enjoyed this video! Loved the nature walk looking for frogs 🐸 and eggs 😊. ❤ from Maryland!

be cool! I can only imagine how its going to sound in your backyard in the night time in a month or so!! 🐸
Love how compassionate you are to all creatures great and small. More people should live and learn your philosophy on nature. Thank you.
As a fellow frog lover this was fantastic! Thank you for looking out for them🐸

This video was so fun I didn’t realize it was over an hour.
Love these types of videos! Too bad we aren’t neighbors I’d be out there helping you!
What a great video. I learned so much and had so much fun watching you save the frog eggs..
That's so awesome!!! You have so many ideas!!!
This video really was very interesting to me. I love nature and gardening so looking forward to many more.

Great ideas you have . and great for what you do for the environment👍👍👍👍
great video, thanks for sharing. i always love a good gardening video.
Thank you for the learning process I enjoyed it thank you 🙋 from oldsmar Florida 🤟
It's cool to see some of the stuff you do outside of Post10. Hope the frogs enjoy all the water you got around your place.
Starting to watch but an update for you.. Was at the pond drain, (by the Pike in MA) earlier today and it's pretty jammed up.
It will be good to see the progress of all that work. 👍

I like Moss, and Lichen - very interesting
Love those hand pump wells.

Another great video! Excited to see the update just dropped! Can’t wait to see how the frog situation develops!
This type of video is my favorite of yours. Right on!

Great stuff 🎉
Missed a chance to warranty that Peach tree tho.
I know, I regret it I don't have the receipt even though I know they would have taken it back
51:17 do you have grubs up there? Might be them. Have them in OK.
Great video P10. Looking forward to watching these projects progress.
Pretty elaborate process winterizing the well, and then getting it ready for spring
Not at all, just siphon the water out of the top or it will just go through the weep hole if it has a week
@@NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore You’re not catching my humor/sarcasm in that statement
Those Jack Daniels half barrels are leakproof. They held whiskey, at some point. Drilling drainage holes is probably not a bad idea.
Just watched this video in its entirety. I have to watch it again because I should have written down some comments and questions I wanted to ask. Stay tuned…..🙂

Woohoo! So many 🐸
Is that an old jack Daniels barrel? Those are gold for grilling/ smoking. Also hope you are going to use that peach tree to smoke some items.
You have a big heart, bud
Excelente trabalho.

Looks like moles definitely. We got mole crickets and they that exactly just on a smaller scale lol
You have 2 channels? Glad I found this.
I have four of them they're all Linked In the description of post 10
I really enjoy your videos
Post, loved the new channel.
Not really interested in this topic, but that's ok.
Still want to support because of what a great dude you are.
👍🏼
You need to get a chikin house and a few caged battery rescue hens, they’ll reward you with great fresh eggs.
I want chickens someday but I currently work 7 days on 7 days off because of 8 hours to work and they cannot be unattended that long because of bears and other predictor
Hey love this video! By the way I also write with left hand but do most everything else with my right
Great job post 10 i was just thinking insted of diggng round the pound could u not mark the outline and then move the pond and then dig it out.
I'm trying to imagine the flavor of Jack Daniels whiskey from an alternate universe where it's aged in charred cedar barrels instead of the charred white oak barrels used in our universe. My hunch is that our universe makes the superior tasting JD.
God👍 should you feed the frog fry when the eggs hatch? Because there is no natural food in the pond for them?
Shocked you didn't get a bunch of rocks when digging.
All that soil around the building is fill that was trucked in but last year when I had some excavation done they had to go around certain things because the Rocks were just too big
Ya horse donkey thing would be good for holding two bottles of wine.
I am also left handed with the ability to use my right hand for all kinds of other work.
I know tadpoles of the desert toads speed up their transition to toads when the water starts to dry up, do frogs do that also?
Welcome back!
I have a second Channel called post10 that I upload to nearly every day and post 10-second Channel. Thanks for watching
Cool😊😊
not sure what you love more, Beavers or Frogs 😉👍
