    #63 Good morning, Julie and Marc. I own a 2014 Winnebago Trend 23B. I have 63,832 miles on it. Fuel Economy is 15.3 to 15.7 miles per gallon. Both Driver Seat and Passenger Seat will swivel! The vehicle is nimble and handle's well.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  Před 4 lety

      That is awesome that your seats swiveled. Maybe that was an option that this owner didn't choose, or maybe I simply couldn't find the lever. But glad that it is an option, because I thought that was a missed opportunity. -M

    Hi Marc and Julie. It's great to see your smiling faces again even though this video was from a few months back. That little RV looks like fun and easy for just about anybody to drive even if they have no experience. That was great that you wee able to help that person out that had the hit and run crash. I love seeing people doing good for others in need. Thank you for that. I look forward to getting don to the Keys someday soon, looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing you some where out on the road. Safe Travels and Happy Trails!!

      Hello Wesley, glad to be sharing it. We had planned on releasing this video in March, but when the travel restrictions hit, we felt it was in-appropriate to share until restrictions lifted again. This of course, put a hold on a lot of our content. But we have been up to some other really cool stuff, including planning a virtual summit. Check out www.hittheroadrvsummit.com for more details. And we will have more RV rental related content out soon. We were also glad we could help with the accident. We love helping others. Wishing you safe travels, and a great trip to the Keys. -M

    Great review. Thanks for making this clear. If you have lived in an RV and want to fly and rent in a popular area, it seems like a great alternative. Use the knowledge you have to do it. Less stress than multiple day drives on long distance highways.

    We had an Itasca that had a similar floor plan. HATED the corner bed. If I was using that model, I’d be sleeping on that drop down bed! We enjoyed the size of the Itasca for being able to get into parking spaces etc, but if you are wanting to have one of these and tow a vehicle, that’s another story. . . We found that we couldn’t tow our vehicle behind so during the time we owned the Class C, I drove behind in our car when necessary. The storage on this RV is maybe a little bit bigger than the Itasca. Thanks for sharing.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  Před 4 lety

      Thanks for sharing your experiences. We were actually fine with the corner bed, and really enjoyed our two weeks with it. Definitely could not tow a car with this one either, as only rated for 2000 lb lowing capacity. But it was so nimble, wouldn't want to bog down with a tow car. We love having our tow car with our big 40 foot long coach though. -M

      It was a nice RV. But yes, Julie didn't drive it much at all, only about two miles. Because, even with the seat forward, she could not reach well enough. But remember, Julie is only 4'8" tall. Average sized people would not have any trouble at all. -M

    Native Floridian here. Yes, the iguanas fall from trees in cold weather but are not dead. They are an invasive species that have taken over much of the state, but they are a little too far north for their native habitat. So if we get particularly cold, they shut down and hibernate. People tend to equate falling from trees and being unresponsive with dead. This is how you end up with local headLines like “man flees car full of iguanas”

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  Před 4 lety

    Hey,,, hold on,, back to Costco, you forgot the booze!! That is a nice rig, one thing I am seeing missing from theses rigs, is the rear is 6 inches to narrow on both sides and does not come all the way to the outside like a “Fleetwood” does. Makes for a much more stable ride, if the rear was a dully that would fix this issue & bring the tires all the way out.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  Před 4 lety

      Yep, we needed to skip the booze on this trip... too much driving time. lol. Agreed that if this coach was built on a slightly heavier chassis with dual rear wheels, it would likely feel much more planted. We still really enjoyed our time in it though. -M

    Why would you rent an RV when you already own one? That doesn’t make sense to many of us. Isn’t the point of an RV to travel and explore? Smaller is always more maneuverable and easier and thats why I had no idea why you went to a big 40 foot RV from your old smaller one. Thats also why I have a 28’ Class A Tiffin Breeze. I can fit in just about anywhere, and I can boondock for 2 weeks at a time.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  Před 4 lety +1

      Maybe we didn't explain it well enough in the video. We rented RVs because we needed to go from AZ to NY, FL, TX and back to AZ in a matter of only four weeks. It would have taken far too much time to drive between those destinations in the amount of time we had available, especially since we work 40-70 hours per week. We are not retired and traveling only for leisure yet. Our first coach was 36', so it wasn't a big jump up to 40'. Again... working as much as we do, it is nice to have lots of indoor comfort, and feel very at home in our current coach. We have considered going smaller and may do it in the future. Glad you are happy with your 28' Breeze, Something for everyone. -M

Daily rates might be $150, but a two week rental like ours can drop the daily price substantially. And no, we did not get this for free to showcase the vendor. Also there are plenty of other models out there with a very similar layout. As a 6' tall single traveler, I think a corner bed layout is by far the best for me, as it's hard to find an 80" bed in most RV's under @250,000. So this review is very helpful. If it's comfortable and useable for two people, something similar should be even better for just me.
