    Simon Says will always be a super underrated Nu Metal band. So much energy on the Shut Your Breath album. One band I wish I was able to see back in the day.

    Life Jacket is just 1 of those songs that seems to crossover musical genres. In the like 22 years now or so since it was released I've never come across any person who didn't like the song after hearing it... no matter what their taste in music may be.

    This is amazingThey played their first show ever with the first band I ever played in. It was at Shakey's Pizza in midtown Sacramento. I believe they are an example of what a gamble the music business really is because their first album is amazing! I can't believe they didn't blow up?!
    Another band from Sacramento was FAR.......same thing.

      @@irreversiblemess yeah bro I loved that Sacramento music scene. I played drums in FLICKER, but before that when I was super young I played drums in a rap/metal band called TRAINWRECK. I really got my feet wet in that band. We played with System of a Down @ the Cattle club.
      After Flicker tho the bass player from Flicker and I went on to start DIE TRYING.

    I have a question.. Did you ripped this? And if yes, are you aware of interlacing? Or you just don't deal with it.. Thanks.. I'm about to rip some important VHS footage, so that's the reason I'm asking.. Your footage is not terrible, but I see occasionally those "stripes".. (They are more visible with higher movement) If you're not focused on it as I am, it's not a big deal, but it is problem for me.. I was decoding VHS footage straight to the h.264 and there was problem, because it lagged. But when I switched to MPEG4, It was fine, but even when I take the biggest bitrate I feel like it partly loses those stripes, and it's bad if you want to deinterlace it with other programs (I use Handbrake).. It bothers me, because it has potential to have higher framerate and it's one of the good things VHS had.. I can have about 50fps because I'm from Europe and there is system called PAL, but if you have NTSC, you can reach nearly about 60fps, which is cool.. But this footage is from German TV so I guess it's PAL (I have some footage from their channels too) When it's done good, VHS footage looks awesome with higher framerate, on CZcams you must upload it upscaled in 720p, because in lower resolution it isn't visible... anyway, thanks for your answer..

      Hi, first of all thanks for watching. We personally didn't rip this footage from the VHS, a friend of us did cause we simply don't have time to do all of this ourselves. However there is a fair amount of videos on here we did transfer ourselves, varying from VHS, Mini DV and DIgital 8. Feel free to send us an email on how to improve our videos and VHS transfers though. We don't upscale our videos but if you think it improves the quality let us know. Are any of your important VHS transfers concert related by any chance? :)

    • @mrfuck792
      @mrfuck792 Před 3 lety

      @@liberatedtapearchive3984 I want to transfer friend's family home footage, I don't have much important concert cassettes, but I've got about 4 cassettes by friend of mine that recorded music videos from TV, mostly hip hop in the early 2000s from those related german TV stations like Supreme,2 Rock, Zwei and so on, but there are a lot of Nu-Metal and Pop Punk videos too.. Now I want to upload some vids of (hed)PE concert from boardercross 2001, it already is uploaded full on CZcams, but my footage has few extra seconds in the beginning of the song 'I got you', and I can't find it anywhere.. I know it's not that inportant, but it looks pretty cool 😃 there's a lot of interesting things, but they're just music videos that already are on CZcams mostly.. I thought that I found unuploaded music video of Snoop Dog's Snoop Dog part 2 or something, but I found it xD hardly, but still.. I want to discover if there's something special.. there's also some hip hop concerts, some of it could be interesting to upload to some.. About that deinterlacing, I have a lot of problems with it myself, I don't think I can help you that much.. I've tried to do it with Virtualdub, but my PC is probably problem, because when I hit record, it lags in the beginning and later sound and video is all over the place.. but yeah, if you upload properly deinterlaced video with 50 or 60fps (depending on location) in 720p, it has better quality and it keeps those extra frames.. check out live System of a down videos ripped from VHS in 60 or 50fps.. it is awesome, I think it's the most well captured VHS footage on CZcams (some of them😃)
