You have become my favorite gun reviewer. It's just no fluff, no stupid crap, and I appreciate that, excellent work.
I can't wait until you get your hands on the new Springfield high power.
I just got one of these and have a .22 Mag cylinder coming any hour now… cannot wait to pop some magnum rounds this weekend
Nice review: all the good, and the bad. I like the looks of the piece, but not crazy about the hot gas and flying debris issue. Thanks for the video. It's always a pleasure.
I been trying to figure out how to build a side shield
My son and I use it to train my grandchildren with. I like the 22mag for varmint hunting and on those wascally wabbits. ( Jack rabbit's ). I also like the Circuit Judge which comes in 45/410 and 357 and 44 mag, which are very popular in Australia. The 357 and 44 mag are very hard to come by. But my Henry's keep me going. Have a great day my 2A friend's! Sincerely Ruger Rich
My name is Guy Hall. I ordered one of your rancher carbines around a month ago to go with my roughrider revolver combo, and I love this carbine!!!!it shoots very tru,and very accurate so for with lr and magnum rnds.of all kinds I've tested so far. It also didn't take long at all to recieve it at my ffl. Thank you for your great video and the great carbine.
Always nice to see a review done well and by a professional. Great job!
Probably the best gun reviewer I ever heard
The good, the bad and the ugly
Love mine, did a couple of up grades, like an all metal ejector rod. Just a unique fun little gun and I mainly shoot CCI "Quiet" out of it. No side blast, low noise and will take down a tin can (With proper shot placement...lol). It's also very accurate. Did have to replace the hammer spring due to light strikes (btw: It's not the same as in their revolvers, its a cut down version). It's a keeper.
I like mine. The only complaint is the way the stock transitions to the frame. It's a straight bar like old west lever actions, so if you carry it unshouldered with your index finger, extended at the ready, you will get a painful wrist cramp after about 20 minutes. Instead, you have to hold it like a stick when carrying it. Since it's a revolver, you can't get into the habit of supporting the barrel weight with your support hand like a regular carbine, so your trigger hand wrist has to bear that weight. A curved grip stock would have been ideal so your fingers could pull against gravity rather than torqueing that stress to the nearest joint.
I like your review - no BS... and good walk through the features. I just bought one... (well... ordered one.... I guess I'll wait for it to come in.)
The problem with running .22 WMR out of the Heritage is that you get VERY little increase in performance. The gap between the cylinder and the barrel is a bit on the generously large side, and when shooting a 16" barrel Heritage in .22 lr & .22 WMR through a chronograph the .22 WMR has only a very minor increase in muzzle velocity over the .22 lr...which shoot quite a bit slower than the muzzle velocity listed on the side of the box.
Very informative. You have gained a new subscriber.
i think its pretty cool for what it is
I own one. Definitely unique, but wear eye pro.
Very informative and concise. Thanks for making this.
Thank you sir that was very interesting Watch 1or2 other videos but you’re the best looking into getting it. Thank you! thumbs way up😊
I have always liked this gun but for me the cons of this Carbine are exactly why I never bought it. But i do like the concept.
I own one now after this review ..the splashback from the gas/debris is obscene when using the 22 magnum cylinder. Cut me open. There was blood. Enough it stung for a day. No lasting marks obviously ..but would of SUCKED if it got in the eye with that much force. Likely ER trip. I like it for the novelty ...but I will not lie. I hesitate/jump somewhat when I shoot it. Never jump with any other gun I own big or small... I dont want to sell it..but I hesitate to shoot it just the same
I have a .22 mag cylinder and I am very interested in picking one of these up. As well as a barkeep.
Get it! mine was very worth it!and it shoots magnums just as well.

The 16” revolver is quite accurate so I’m sure this is even more.
2:34 So it doesnt have either, a transfer bar OR a hammer block, as most modern revolvers do??? Im surprised.
Great review!
Here on my ranch that exact gun with 22 wmr takes up the bottom rack on top is a Henry lever 45 a stoeger coach gun and a gun belt with to uberti 45 shooters I think IV shot just about every animal on god's creation with 1 of those cal
If they come out with this in the 9 shot 22 WMR/22LR cylinders with a fiber optic front sight I will be first in line to buy one.
And I'll be right behind you to buy the second one. lol
@@christopherlomauro1931 Do us both a favor and email them please, and request it. These gun companies definitely respond to customer feedback.
I love your reviews. Just FYI you can now buy an ejector for that with a metal handle on it instead of that injection molded plastic one on Ebay right now for $25. Probably the cheapest looking thing on that rig IMHO.
Good video !
To do the 5 rounds it’s load-skip-loadx4-pull hammer back-ride hammer down on empty chamber-engage safety
would love it in .38
Excellent video, thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Good and serious review on an interesting gun, everything looks good and is definitely old west cool. I just don't like the shooters face being so close to feel the effect of firing. Any .22 rifle would be more practical. But sometimes we like a gun for some other reasons that do not include the practical uses. I like it because Lee Van Cleef used a similar gun in an old west movie. I think it was "For a few Dollars More."
I picked up one of these I think it is the loudest 22 I've ever shot
@communists are gross mine will hurt your ears its crazy loud never owned a 22 that loud
It's because your face is so close
Excellent review. Subscribed!
you should do a side by side of the carbine kit offered by salem lakes armory for the pistol vs this.
This carbine is safety squint certified
If only they could have shielded the cylinder and added a forearm I would probably want one.
Then that would be any .22 rifle.
@@6Sally5 this could have a shielded cylinder and a forearm and still be a unique little carbine.
It's not like I could just take the forearm off my old JC higgins and have the exact same thing.
I shot one today for the first time and was getting gass faced
I have 2 RR’s, but I really can’t believe this gun is legal. You’re better off getting their 16” revolver, which is available with adjustable rear AND front sites.
At 22, the barrel is remarkably light and easy to hold steady, even with just one hand.
This design? Just asking for trouble.
I wonder if you could put a matching small foregrip?
Same danger.
The safety is the worst part. Come on Heritage go to the transfer system!
What kind of metal is the frame made of?
Kind of a cool idea. Catching stuff in my face makes me not like though.
Add a heat dissapator and you have boba Fett gun
Just curious, but does the front rifle sling slide up and down on the barrel?
No
Yiu can unscrew it and tighten it wherever you want on the barrel
Idk what to do with my left hand 🤣
Got me a brand new Rancher a week ago for $259 off GunBroker...great looking gun and excited to be a new owner of the Rancher! Great video review! 🦅🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
