What I love about this video was you showing us how you change/rip off a piece/do it over. Makes me feel ok that I do that too! This card is so adorable, and I'm sure your daughter will love it! Thanks for another great video!
I just love that you showed the whole process and didn't cut anything out. It makes me feel so much better about my crafting when I know that the pros get stuck sometimes. Thanks for keeping it real.
Jennifer, thank you for another amazing card and technique lesson. I also appreciate you showing us your process and reinforcing that card making is a spontaneous, creative journey. We often have one idea in mind and something completely different is produced. All the best.
I love that your video is real card making - I get to see and hear your whole process! To me that is what makes the inspiration. TFS!
So adorable! Your step-daughter is going to love it!
Jennifer, thank you so much for showing what you go through in making cards. I have been a little discouraged because I seem to make so many mistakes, especially with the gluing! I'm a messy glue and it was so good to see how you sometimes have those same obstacles in gluing. Thank you for sharing that. I just love watching and learning from you.😊👍💕
I really love everything about this card the way you did the die cut background and the swing with the string and the watercolour, would love to see some more cards using watercolours.
Such a darling card, Jennifer! I'm sure your daughter is going to love receiving it from Lila, too!
Thanks for sharing the links to these water colors...they look amazing!
Jennifer, Jennifer! You make water coloring look so very easy. Absolutely darling card!
This card turned out awesome. I love the swing you free handed for the card. Great creative mind. Thnx Jennifer.
Great to see you're human Jennifer! You do so well with pulling a card together! I was glad to hear in your Q&A yesterday that you don't usually practice as it makes me appreciate what you do even more!
Jennifer I think this little card is so sweet. Love all the sky and the little girl herself. Love the little swing and sentiment. About the sun...love the sun and liked it best left plain. Like you said it's a card and many will love it too. So no fuss no bother. Next time. I will be happy to claim any of your cards as mine. You should see mine...Nothing but fuss and bother and sometimes that's the way it goes in life. But that's what art is all about. trying something new to push the edge a bit more. This is one way of growing and learning. We all do this till the day we die. Love the card and enjoyed your video and talk. It makes me feel better when I see the big ones have things like this from time to time too. It gives me hope. LOL Thanks Jennifer for showing us all of the creative process. I respect you a lot, and love your work. Yes I'm a fan.
pat
I've seen that little girl stamp so many times, but it took watching this video for me to realize that the little curve in the middle of her face is her nose! This whole time I thought she was frowning! Haha.
Love every single one of your videos Jennifer & I get so happy whenever I see that there's a new one to watch! :)
Gorgeous clouds ! Love all these colors ! TFS
You always apologize for cramming so much in one video but honestly....it's one of the reasons I love your videos so much. It's not drug out and is real to life. We craft very similarly and I just love that you move quickly and put so much into one video or post. Abide card maker so all the details and dragging out of showing the techniques gets very boring. You are my favorite crafter and I always look forward to new posts from you. :) have a very blessed day!!!!!
Hahahaha creepy dude peeking out from behind a cloud....BRILLIANT! That made my day. Great card TFS
You are my favorite video artist. Thank you for showing this gorgeous card and your technique.
Libby Easton-May thank you!
Lol, I just finished playing with my set for the first time. I think this is my favorite over the Peerless but both are a lot of fun. I do like the thickness of the Gansai. I love it!
Lots of cool techniques here, all lovely. I love these watercolors, they seem so effortless and the y look like there are a lots variations in colors included. And may I say I love the way you cut up the background with the cloud die. Very awesome.
I love that your videos are "real life" card making! I'm always learning and messing up and it's reassuring to see that other card makers do it as well and not everyone is perfect. Thank you so much! I started watching your videos after the Q&A with Kristina. I love your videos!
Thanks for the demo. Really cute card. I like how you made the clouds.
Cute card Jennifer :-) love that you show how to fix something you don't like, instead of throwing it out and start all over :-) tfs ~ hugs Jane
I love watching your process. Savin' my pennies for those awesome watercolors.
Companies must love you as much as your viewers do. Every company you recommend for the purchase of the waters colors, is out of stock! So as usual, O am on the waiting list.
I think I'm in love! Your card is amazing! The swing is too cute. I'd love to try those watercolors. Hopefully they're not too pricey. TFS ~ Pat :)
Awesome Jennifer, what a fantastic cute card xx Wendy
Love your card Jennifer! Love that you showed us how you didn't like it and then fixed it. Adore how you did the cloud background too! :)
WOW Jennifer what an awesome video.....I don't do watercolor but I sure enjoyed your video I was still so interested in everything you brought to show and tell! *LOL*
Love your card it's so adorable. You really created on outstanding card and love how you did the background......I so will do this on a LO. You did a great coloring job on the little girl. Always love your stories that you share!!
Joan Smith
Like all of your videos as you are so thorough, concise and have it together on your presentation and the links.
I use the Yarka watercolors from Russia. The colors are vibrant and come in a semi-moist state which I like better that the really dried out cakes of some paints. These are priced lower--Amazon or Dick Blick-- but that blue is very unique and I have never seen one as pool-y as that.
I think your card turned out perfect! Thank you
love real life card making!
Super adorable card. I'm totally in love with that Mama Elephant stamp set. Thanks for the reviews on the Watercolors too.
As always...beautiful!!!!
Lovely card thank you Jennifer
Love how you showed the process. .. I have to get those dies now. May I give a suggestion...I always emboss with clear powder. Like you I don't really care for black embossing powder...but I always ink with versamark and without stamping, ink again with black ink. The versamark stays sticky enough to emboss. Saves you the trouble of double stamping. Something that works for me everytime with every ink.
A tip I have learned (and saved a lot of not-so-nice words spewing from my lips) rather than trying to match your image/text exactly is to load your stamp with Versamark then add your colored ink right on top of that, then add clear embossing powder... works perfectly
I just love Your videos thank you so much for sharing them. I love the frame and cloud die I see it as waves too. very cool
Great card and love the Kuretaki colors.
Great card and I really like how you show mistakes and how you resolve them!!
Thank you for showing this gorgeous card and your technique. very beautiful!
beautiful colors
Love the video. Nice card. Thanks.
such a cute card and I love the idea of you sending it from Lila to the girls.
Now for my 2 cents,,,,,,lol I think the sun would have looked a little better if you would have carried the water colored rays of the sun all the way to the top of the card and washed it out a little more.
And I will be purchasing the stamp set from Mama Elephant to support OWH this thursday when I get paid so excited!
Great work as always!
So precious!! Luvvvvv your techniques....U R Awesome, Jennifer....Thanks for sharing
I have to chuckle when I watch you make cards. Like you, I change direction, or something bugs me, and I won't rest until I change it. I wish I could be more forgiving of myself, but the perfectionist in me won't let go. My sister and I have "card making play days" and she typically makes 3 cards to my 1!
Yes I did enjoy your video and loved the card
you give us such geat tips, thanks!!
Love the video..i hope you can also play proucts from faber castell like the gelatos, big brush stampers...
Loved the card and instructions. Always learn something from your videos! I could not find the link for the other youtube? do you mind telling that again? Thanks so much!
Great video! Bought the watercolor set! Watercolor is my medium.
Too cute!!!
Its autentic
Love it.
Love it....
Hey Jennifer! love the videos. Do you also do wedding invitations?
Is that a Ringly you're wearing? It looks like one - very pretty!
I love this also... as usual...lol
Hi Jennifer,
After seeing you use the Gansai Tambi watercolors I just had to get a set. My question is can the color bricks be ordered individually when I use up one? And if so, where? I love the blues and you are right...they are hard to find. I usually have to mix until I get the right shade.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Jennifer, Have you tried the PELIKAN Opaque 24 watercolor set from Germany? It is one of my favorite watercolor set, and it is available at Amazon. The set also has metallic silver and gold colors in it, and an amazing real flesh, (skin) color.
Zituska do you find that the watercolors by Pelikan to be just as Creamy?
Juliana, I don't think the Pelikan is as creamy, as the Japanese watercolor sets, but the colors are very nice. You can find it now on Amazon and the price is pretty good too.
Thanks Z! I actually just ordered it hugs!
Have fun with it! :)
love it, i'd be worried about a colour shift in redoing the background, but you did great! is there a black marker i could use to draw an image in really fine line that won't dissolve with water colouring?
Cards by Maaike it is too late probably you found your pen by now 😁 but anyway I use micron permanent pen set they are great but let them dry 👍
Love it! Now I have to check out Mama elephant for these paints! Have tried Dr PH Martin Hydrus liquid watercolors? So incredibly intense! I got mine at Dick Blick.
Leave it to Japan to create something amazing.
Also, my favorite watercolours are Schminke, they're not cheap, but for the amount you use of this medium, I think you're discovering there's just no reason to buy cheap, less pigmented brands.... it works against you, why not just go with artist's quality and enjoy as you go and get the best results? :)
Thank you for the lovely card and tutorial Jennifer! May I ask which type of brush and # are you using here? Thanks in advance!
💗
Jennifer,
I know you had a lot to link to in this video, but I don't see a link for the small, liner brush you used to swatch the watercolors, etc. . . At the beginning. I am looking for a good quality brush that size, so if you have a chance, could you let me know what it is?
Thanks,
Maureen
aScrapofKindness I found the link for the brushes: www.ellenhutson.com/servlet/the-1730/Studio-Artist-Brushes%2C-Claudine/Detail?affiliate_no=1 It's below "Copic Black 3 multiliner link", and above "cutting board link". It took me a while to find it too :)

Hello, I got tagled in a problem using printed stamps and watercoloring :-( The printed (inkjet printer) stamps smears so it all looks very unprofessional. I would love you opinion about it. Many Tanks
This set is $60 on amazon
Oops, meant have you tried...
I have this set of watercolors but I never knew the lid was meant to be a color chart due to the lack of English...whoops!

These behave a lot like gouache.
