Gorgeous cover! It's like melted caramels! I love the dublin because it's not too thin or thick and has structure, but also hugs the notebook. And totally agree about the stitching and the raw edges, I love them! Over time the edges get polished from touching them and it just adds to the feel. I really love that they don't use glue, just leather and hand stitched thread!😍Their covers have a very traditional, heirloom quality!

Finally got to finish watching this. Love your new cover! It’s gorgeous...I laughed out loud very loudly when you said “carrying it around the house like a baby”. You always do a great job at going over details of items. Now I want one!😳

Awesome review and so interesting to see how much larger your covers have to be as it grows. Each time you show off a brand I haven’t tried, I think, I need to try that next! Hi, had to laugh that you carried it around like a baby.. I did that with my CS B6 in Pemberly Angel. It was love... ; ) But based on this review I just ordered a custom in this same leather--it is so gorgeous and so reasonably priced. Cannot wait for it to arrive!!

B E A U T I F U L!! I have this leather from another maker made into a custom lg tote and a tn, but my leather isn’t as thin and supple as yours... I love them so much until I saw your more supple leather! Funny how that works.. hahaha!!

@@sarahmartinezjournals I just ordered it! LOL. I couldn't resist! I don't bulk up my notebooks, so the regular A5 size works for me. So I just did the build my own (nut brown Dublin, yay!).

I have just watched them all! Which Natural Dublin or the Natural Dublin distresses horsefront? I’m thinking just the Dublin?
It’s just the plain natural Dublin (Horween), not the horsefront. 😊
But the horsefront is awesome, its matte and I love it

It is so chunky! I am planning on ordering a Moleskine expanded soon because of your videos. I having been getting tired of using small inserts as well but I am turned off by the fact I cant use a fountain pen in it.

You’re right about the center elastic! I have a cream that my elastic is digging into, and it’s starting to bother me lol. I’m so bad about babying my notebook, I'm ridiculous!
Ugh, I know right?! I’m desperately searching for softer elastic but I can’t find anywhere that explicitly states they have the softer kind. I want to replace the elastics in all my TNs!
Wow! That’s a beautiful notebook! Great job on finding the best measurements for your moleskine. :-) question for you - regarding the pull up of the leather, does smoothing out the pulled area bring back the original color?
Thank you!! If you just gently bend or stretch the leather to coax out the pull up, it will disappear completely and go back to normal. If you completely scrunch it up and severely crease it, the pull up tends to stay.

Argh, I had no thought of covering my Moleskine expanded, and now I want this exact notebook. How much was the custom order, when all was said and done.
Leave it to me to cover everything in leather 😂. It was $84 plus $7.28 for priority shipping in the US. Custom orders have a 4-5 week processing time but mine shipped at 3 weeks♥️
Just came across your video here and fell in love with thus cover. It fits all my needs. I've tried finding this vendor through your link and a couple others. Sadly I get an error message. Do you know if they are still in business?

Sarah the notebook is 8.4 x5x1....but your measurement is so much bigger was that because of thickness???
That’s exactly right! I had to account for how much the notebook grew with everything I like to put in it👍🏼

Do you know if Makers South has the expanded version already that can be chosen? Or are all the expanded versions a custom job?
I don’t think they offer that specific size in their options. But if you message them about the moleskine expanded they should know the sizing it needs to be.

Just beautiful!! How does this leather compare to handstitched leather t?
Thank you!! It’s definitely not as velvety soft as HSLT, but it’s still soft. It’s a bit thinner but just as floppy. It also marks up really easy and has amazing pull up, both were things I missed when using HSLT.

Is the moleskine expanded A5 or is it a Large ? I am also interested in knowing what size this Folio is
The Moleskine expanded is not A5. It's the regular large notebook, just with quite a few extra pages. I have mine in an A5 notebook cover though which is a bit large, but it isn't too bad.
It’s the regular large size😊. Like Alex said, it just has tons more pages than the regular large moleskine.
Sarah Martinez Thanks . But I am asking what size ur folio cover is and if u picked different dimensions for the back and front cover . I won’t have many tip ins so my expanded notebook won’t be as chunky as yours therefore, would ur cover be too large for me ?

In the order notes you can specify your elastic color.
You always have to option of filling out the custom order form with your specifications if you prefer that way. Tell him the size and the specific book you want to put in it, if known. Leather: natural Dublin (Horween). Thread: colonial tan. Make sure to say you want stitching all the way around, if that’s what you want. Elastic closure: brown. Add front pocket. Folio slip pockets inside. No traveler’s notebook strings inside. He will email back to make sure he understands what you want♥️

Too bad I'm on a No-Buy for TNs; otherwise I would have clicked through to the site and purchased a TN for my rolypoly art in 365 MD notebook. grrrrrrrr
😆 isn’t that always the case! All the TNs will still be there when you’re off your no spend though, so no rush. This is what I’m always telling myself, haha.
