We have just purchased a 9kg version of this washing machine and have looked all over for an explanation of the extra functions on the right hand panel, now fully explained, thankyou.
The bearings had gone on our Hotpoint washing machine and after their recent fiascos we weren't going to buy any more Hotpoint appliances. As for Hoover reliability I guess that we'll just have to wait and see. Next to replace is the Hotpoint ( already modified ) tumble dryer and the Hotpoint fridge which has rust appearing at the bottom of the door. All just over 5 years old.

The one touch is great you can download new programs for it and you can also do things such as a drum clean and also it can do a check up too to make sure everything is running smoothly and also tells you all the program that you have used and how long it's been used for in total since the day you got it

We have this washing machine (in black). We bought it because it matches the Dryer we already had. It cannot do the 10kg on almost all settings so that's a massive negative. Other than matching our dryer it was one of the key reasons for purchase. It has always bounced when going into spin, especially with heavy items - even when we keep these to a minimum. We were so concerned we had our floor professionally re-levelled but it still bounced and walked on various wash appropriate settings. We had an engineer to check it over but he determined that nothing was broken and that it was all set up correctly. The belt came off too at one point but that was a month after the warrantee ran out.
It has to be the worst washing machine I have ever owned. We are forced to use slower and lighter load settings so the majority of its suggested benefits are unavailable to us. It most definitely doesn't do what it says on the tin. These are still on the market so avoid at all costs. Much cheaper machines can do so much better. When I was growing up, Hoover products had a reputation for quality and longevity but for me and my family, that reputation can now be completely dismissed. Will never invest in Hoover again.

i have the 8kg version of this washing machine and it does the job and today i had to do an auto clean and put cleaning stuff in as it was smelling so hopefully when finished it doesnt smell. i mostly use the 59min one too. also one thing i found strange was that when i select auto clean, u can only change temp to 40 max. where as the highest temperature will break down bacteria and mold as such better so i dont know why it would only be max 40 and also the spin speed is 400.

When spinning with a load it shakes quite a lot, it still spins with an apparent unbalanced load. The other day it actually moved out of position with bed sheets inside.

Blimey! I didnt know the Hoover made a washing machine!.... If they are anything like here in the USA the new washer's get confused if you add too much soap, if it's unbalanced etc. They don't use enough water either. I had a new top load washer that took 3 hours to decide what it wants to do and it kept saying fault on the screen or long drain, kept going in circles while the water ran and ran......water and electric went up with using that one..I took it out smashed it with the tractor. I got tired of un plugging it to reset it only to have it go in circles again with the water running all the while..i dug my dads old upright Kenmore 25years old washer, I put a new pump on it....still works to this day, do a load in 25 minutes no matter what u put in it, it stays balanced, gets the laundry cleaner than the new ones ever will, COMPUTERS and EPA DONT BELONG IN LAUNDRY.....good day to you all

So i've had mine for two months now and it's so loud on the spin cycle. It can't be because it's on laminate and floorboard. I used to be able to do a wash while I was cooking dinner. I try to get done when I have to go out now.

I have just got rid of mine after it broke down 3 times being an already exhange machine, the laugh being Hoover wanted me a disabled man on crutched to offer them phone cam evidence so they can see the machine possibly break down with the intermitant failures I have described, this was a program of 1 hour 50 mins being the main cotton wash program. The failure being the clothes had distributed great ready for the main and final spin, but lo and behold deciced to switch off and cut out. I have pain and neuropathy in my legs and i was not going to sit on a lino floor to satisfy him, so I ended up hanging up the phone. So the next day I took this up with Currys one lady who I spoke with before who has helped me no end, asked me what can I do now to help you after you have expalined that. Well get intouch with the Hoover manager, tell him the rubbish the hoover engineers have put me through. this she did, the manager was still insistant an engineer should come out. I took one look at her and said to her a firm "NO" ok i am her to buy a new machine i want rid of that machine today. I turned my back to walk away she said wait hold on there, lets see what i can do. 3 mins passed after whats seems a bit of a stand off with Hoover an exchange was arranged. I now have a brand spanking new Hotpoint Aquarius now dont bring me down about my choise its a hell of a lot better than Hoover, the Hoover left grey residue on my white tee shirts, I washed them in the Hotpoint it washed them throurghly, 40degrees cotton wash. 3 active deep water rinses with 3 1400 interm spins and 1 main 1400 spin at the end, you dont need to go any higher than 1400. You can variate and chop and change if you feel a program is too long for you, BUT BEAR THIS IN MIND this is what makes it too long. Its a fusser, I mean the distribution of the clothes its has an annoying habbit. It will distribute and settle and spin for say 10 seconds stop then turn one way then the other and keep doing it untill its ready to do a longer spin to build to the main interim spin. Go into another room or just get on with your day but I love mine, oh take care of the door try not to be rough with it that stuck out in my mind.

I have an older version. Mine is 2016 so it does not have the steam function. Its a 8kg model. I find mines noisey. I like my towels washed at 90. And have learnt not to use short programmes. I work in a hospital and normally wash ed using my daily 60. I now use the cottons for a through wash since covid. My previous washing machine was a service. It lasted just over 10 years and washed amazing. I might try a hair or Samsung washing machine next time. I really find though thr Hoover does a very good job its a very noisey machine.
