Moscow Russia, March 2023...so as i said this was a last min decision to come here, i have been 3 times in the past several years and i always love russia in winter, especially taking the trains to Siberia , which i plan to do hopefully, like i said , i had a bad rib injury in Scotland and it has got worse, so not sure how ill manage this which is really frustrating... i have friends in Russia and i like the country , this trip is about me being a tourist, nothing about politics , just travel. please dont swarm the comment section with hate or i will turn the comments off, and i love to read and respond a much as i can. i am alone on this trip as usual, people have been nice, i havent interacted too much in this vlog as it was just my first day and i was just getting the feel of things, but i have a couple of weeks of trains and stops ahead of me so stay tuned!

I was there for the world cup in 2018!! loved every second of it!! the food, the night life, the most walkable city I've ever been to... I could walk for miles and miles and just see fascinating monuments, museums, malls, landmarks, the river, parks... just wow. I wonder what its like in 2023? thanks for showing us

I got to Russia - Moscow last year in October and my journey was from the UK to Lithuania, then Belarus and finally Moscow. I loved every minute of being in Moscow, and wish to go to Sains Petersburg next time. Love Russia and their people. I got ill in Moscow, very bad cold, these people helped me a lot, I recovered quickly, just per week and got back home fully recovered. 🇷🇺❤️🙏

Ah, warm memories! I am from Russia, I have mexican friend who came to Moscow in May 2017. It was pretty cold in Moscow, and it was funny to see how he did wear a knitted cap and all local people did not :))
We given him the spiciest food we could find and he said it was like maximum 3/10 at his mexican spicy grade, when we felt burning inside eating it :D

I noticed that plenty of foreigners usually visit Red Square and a few streets in the city centre cause they’re popular. If you’ll get a chance to travel to Russia I’d advise to visit 1) Kolomenskoe 2) Pushkin’s art museum 3) also buy a short cruise along the Moscow river (it’s not expensive) 4) visit Izmailovskiy Cremlin (Izmaylovskaya subway station) 5) VDNH

@@user-fo9wt6qt7cHi there! Yes it does snow here in the UK but its nothing like Russia and some other countries! When it snow's here it usually lasts for a couple of days or so then before you know it, its all melted away. The snow also causes a lot of travelling chaos especially in London.

Hi Emma! I'm really sorry for your rib problem. But you should see/have seen a doctor (no matter a state one or a private one). State hospital visits are free of charge. Private ones are not really expensive (especially when compared to European or American ones). Good luck with your travel!

GOSH!! I throughly enjoy your videos of exploring Russia. They've preserved so much of their architecture. In the US, a lot of it was dismantled and destroyed. If you look at all the World Fairs in the US in the late 1800's you will see what the US used to have. My favorites are 1894 mid winter fair in San Francisco and the White City in Chicago (1893). Russian architecture used to exist in the Dakotas and Iowa as well... they called them Corn Palaces.

My first visit to St Petersburg was when it was Leningrad in 1976 and returned many times until 2000 when I gave every everything away at home in California and moved to St Petersburg. Still after 23 years still love it, the culture, the friendships and even the distinct seasons of weather. A beauful human scale city where no one is a stranger very long.

@@GKlimovDesign Думаю, что самые главные наши достопримечательности: Казанский собор, Исаакиевский собор, Спас на Крови, Эрмитаж, Русский музей, Петропавловская крепость, Дворцовая площадь. Просто прогуляться по центру) Посмотреть на разводные мосты
И обязательно Петергоф!

Russia have quite a huge cultural heritage to explore and its cool to see how you open something new for yourself. I will recommend also to check such city and region - KRASNODAR (its like Los Angeles but Russian one 😀) . It used to have a name: EKATERINODAR

Hi Emma, watching you for the first time (great that youtube algorithm decided to show you to me). So interesting to see Moscow by your eyes despite I'm Russian and visited Moscow numerous times. Calendarwise it's spring although in Russia we say "in March wear one hundred trousers" :) Did you try ice-cream in the ground floor kiosks of GUM? Ok, I'm going to watch more of your videos now.
