the specific sound at 0:06 IS just something MAGICAL
It is magic coming from the Arab East. Oud is a charming deity if used properly
Musicologist here; from 0:06-0:10 you are hearing the guitar move from So - La - Ti. The Climb of the guitar from La (over a major 7th) to Ti (over a minor dominant 7th) and keeping that Ti sustained without ever resolving back to home (tonic) gives a goosebump effect and an incredible sense of wanting resolvement (even though it plays over the resolved home tonic chord!). The Ti stays sustained over the tonic chord @ 0:08 - 0:11 (creating a 7th chord which is rich and beautifal in itself). At 0:08, try singing Ti, which is played by the guitar, and you'll feel the yearning, but then try it again, and sing Do, which is a half step above Ti and played by the bass, and you'll feel this incredible sense of home or resolvement. Its a beautifal dichotomy with a beautifal effect. Try it out!
