Build and manage a Maximum Security Prison. As the sun casts it’s early morning rays on a beautiful patch of countryside the clock starts ticking. You’ve got to crack on and build a holding cell to detain the job lot of maximum security prisoners that are trundling to your future prison on their yellow bus. As your workmen lay the last brick you don’t have a moment to let them rest as they need to get started on the first proper cell block so you can make room for the next prisoner intake. Once they’ve all got a place to lay their weary heads the fun can really start.
You’ll need a canteen, infirmary and a guard room, oh, and don’t forget to plumb in a toilet, or things will get messy, but what about a workout area? Or solitary confinement cells? Or an execution chamber?
Inspired by Dungeon Keeper, Dwarf Fortress and Theme Hospital and with over 1 million players having spent time inside, Prison Architect is the world’s best lock-em-up.
Story Mode:
Prison Architect opens with the story of Edward, a man facing the electric chair for committing a crime of passion. This is followed by four additional chapters focusing on different characters and aspects of prison life. From Mafia Dons to power-crazed senators, Prison Architect has them all! To bring these characters to life, Introversion teamed up with award winning professional writer Chris Hastings, producing an enthralling tale of corruption and human misery set against the background of the modern prison industrial complex.
Escape Mode:
Finished your supermax? Got guard dogs roving every corridor and prisoners eating out of your hand? Now you can live the horror by firing up escape mode and play as a prisoner hell-bent on getting the hell out of dodge.
Dig a tunnel, go for the armoury or start a riot and slip out in the chaos, it’s entirely up to you! Figure out how to escape from your own creation, or hit the random button and load one of the 12,000 prisons created by the steam community, whichever you choose it’s not going to be easy...

We should do a Prison Architect - Escapes Bingo. It could be a longer video where you need to get a bingo before you can escape. Or it could be mandatory side objectives like "get put into a higher security group", "Punch the warden", "Have the fire department put out a fire in the yard", or "no killing people allowed". You know, just random things that would make it a little more difficult to leave

ADDENDUM: Yes, it is Volanic not Volcanic.
So about the drill, on it's own it is very very weak as it does hardly any damage. It becomes strong when you have deadly or even better extremely deadly as a trait, since you can onetap people. Since the onetapping is luck based, getting more hits per second in decreases the time before you onehit somebody making it really deadly.
I wonder if there are any prisons where you cannot leave your cell.
Seems to be the best way to avoid escapes.

Permanent punishments are a thing
i’d say that drill is awful, but with Deadly or Extremely Deadly, is becomes insane. those skills add a chance to instakill every hit, meaning that, with it’s attack speed, nothing kills as quickly as the drill
I have an almost finished prison coming out later this week if u can try it (it will be a ruined jungle temple) I can’t escape it my self

With that room you set on fire, couldn't you just dig 3 squares and be out? Without farming points
Out of curiosity, can you even get PUT on Death Row if you cause too much of a ruckus? I remember you mentioned death row in a previous episode.
Not to my knowledge no. You can be assigned DR when coming into the prison via escape mode, in which you get permanently locked in the cell and can't escape. I'll show it if that comes up in the Escapes series.
@@OfficialStuffPlus Thats.... quite the oversight on the Devs part if I'm honest. Figured if you get changed from ORANGE to RED, if you killed too many people trying to escape, they just put you in Black as a consequence.
If that does happen though, that's gonna be a short video. Would be funny if it put you in Protective Custody though.
@@jaywerner8415 honistly screams missed oppertunity, getting put on DR could turn it into a timed escape or a sort of last chance scenario... maybe with its own upgrades as trade off like a teir above the standard unlocks.
protective custody couid be neat too changing the script a bit as you never know who might be on snitch clean up duty. could be a case of you dont get any traits no deadly or quick for you but a longer leash and all you gotta do is survive the timer till you get transfered or paroled... easier said then done though.
@@someguy4252 Exactly, it would make the "escape" different then what we have been seeing. As Stuff has said supposedly the Console version of Escape mode is more fleshed out. The PC version though... well it is what it is.
Like Prison Architect has gotten so many updates and Expansions/DLC. But NONE OF IT was ever "implemented" into the Escape mode, at least on PC. Just using the GANG dlc as an example, you have GANGS and Corrupt guards.
Or just for example, you would think their would be OTHER ways to earn Points beside smashing up the entire shower block. Like I don't know, doing work in the prison, attending reform Classes, extera exetera. Ya know.... just to add a little bit of Roleplay.
Meanwhile you have the Game series "The Escapist" which i am willing to bet was Inspired by Prison Arcitects Escape mode. and Id honestly say it does it better.

Ah... that prison is so nice, it must be in Europe.
These challenges seem too easy for you.
At this point I'd be more impressed if you could find a prison you CAN'T break out of. Otherwise it's kinda boring.
