Yeah girl! Looking radical. I just purchased the same shoes. The vintage black high tops. Love them. I also went a half size down. I’m normally a 9 and I went down to 8.5. Converse definitely do know what they’re talking about. 😊
The chuck 70 is the way converse all stars were made in the 50s through the 70s. They are have thicker canvass and more padding which make it more comfortable and they last longer. Also the black label on the heel is the original and correct heel label. These shoes are wayyy better than the flimsy uncomfortable regular all star.
I was never one for regular All Stars and much preferred Vans. Though I’ve been wearing 70’s for years now and they never got get old. The amount a colours they come in is great and like you say they go with pretty much any fit. I find in my old age that fancy sneakers ain’t my bag, and this is coming from some that worked on footwear retail for many years. It’s pumps all the way now with Vans, Converse and Novesta. If I’m ever gonna wear a typical sneaker it’s got to be New Balance. Man I sound old lol. Great video by the way.

I got the All stars today and I just realized after wearing them for about 20 min how uncomfy they felt. They were also so flimsy and I could tell they wearnt gonna last me that long. Deff not worth the 74$ I paid. Ill be returning them but Ill be getting the 70's instead which I cant wait! From all the reviews I heard there worth the price. Also how long have you had these chuck 70's in the vid? if you dont mind be asking.
Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with your all stars! I feel the same way about them, especially after wearing the 70s. They were pretty new when I filmed this video so I think it’s been around 2 months now, but I have been wearing them tons and they’re still comfy/holding up well. After seeing the well explained differences, I think I need something in between. The footbed and sturdier sides sound awesome, but I loathe the cream-cheese gloss finish. Also curious how it applies to low tops. I'm size 11, and high tops really become container ships at that size.
Yeah I don’t get why they made it so glossy. Makes it look cheap. And it’s a shame cause the rest of the shoe is so much better than the regular ones. I actually like the off white though, though I think it could be more subtle

Thanks so much for watching! I just looked at their updated size guide and it is kind of confusing - I'm an EU 41 and purchased a 9.5. That's what the chart suggests so I would say go for the 6 in your case...tricky because they don't list 38.5 but you wouldn't want them too small. Depending on the site they may also allow you to exchange! Sometimes I'll order 2 sizes in something and return what doesn't fit. Hope that helps!

They seemed fine until I tried them on again at home and I was noticing excess space where my toes are - so I’m thinking of trying on a size 6 and if they’re better exchanging them. A bit confused tho as I haven’t seen any in half sizes anywhere. If there was I’d for sure try a 6.5.

It’s similar to how some of my pure white sneaker soles discolour as they get old or just can’t be totally cleaned anymore.

Hi! My only Nikes are a pair of Air Force 1s in a mens 10/42 which are too big for me - I typically wear a 41/10 women’s in most shoes and for sure had to size down to 9.5 in these chuck 70s!

@@SamanthaYonge thanks that's so cool I really like people like you, I am the same to with my converse, but as for helping my girlfriend with her converse, they just stink a lot, nothing else that I can do, she chooses to be without socks even in summer, they get stinky and sweaty by her feet and a bit sticky too over time been worn Baer foot, they have dark brown toe prints, which anther girl showed hers and for 2 summers had socks on they looked as if being new. I try to tell her to throw them away.

The sole of the shoes is about 1 inch just from a quick measurement on mine. I don’t notice a difference between these and other sneakers in terms of height - I feel like converse are pretty flat in general.
I wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 women’s shoe and I just got a pair of “White” (size 7) and they are so comfortable compared to what are used to be. These Chuck 70’s are definitely worth the extra money. Not only does it have insoles that you can take out - it has “EXTRE JEL” on the inside bottom of the shoes as well. I am loving this sneaker. I going to rock them to death ☠️ lol

The 6 was a perfect fit for me so i recomend half a size down from your usual.
