An interesting thought just came through my mind and reminds me of my early days of fishing with my wife. When we had no money at all we go from fish store to fish store looking to see what they had to see if they had anything exceptional that we might want. But I have a feeling people today don't do as much traveling for fish as I used to so maybe a thought on how people that are going to peruse a fish store in contrast to the average customer. Maybe when I'm talking about is the local customer versus the fish tourist.
On myself like to wait till they're done helping local customers and then ask my questions and I assume that most people would do this instead of demanding to be the first in line for attention even though you're not intending to buy a whole lot.
In the end I get to know my local fish shops and I consider that within 50 mi I get to know what that shopkeeper likes dislikes as far as fit fish and whether or not he'd be interested in fish that I have for sale or if they're particularly looking for anything. Even to the point where if I'm looking for a specific fish I can ask them if they've ever run into it and sometimes I get a yes it's the fruit. That's how I found my first emerald green - corridors back in 1984 back when those were unheard of but one guy in bend Oregon had a couple and I had to drive them back three hours to my fish tank.
So maybe a thought on the Aquarius visiting shops. I know this is probably not in your usual range of topics

you should make a video on what to do when you have to leave your tank, to go on vacation:)

Fortunately or unfortunately, I haven't been on many long vacations, so if it's for less than a week, I don't feed the fish anything. :) However, if it's for longer than a week, I use the Eheim auto feeder: amzn.to/3hHFtfU - It's very reliable and you can always put tape across the opening to make it smaller if too much food is pouring out. :)

What would you recommend for a mixed Cichlid tank. They love the frozen food (Cichlid community and Blood worms) but they won't touch any pellets (floating and sinking) or flakes. Even the ones labelled specifically for Cichlids.

Hey can you please tell - are the microwave cup , spoon etc... dedicated for fish use only with no soap used on them?

I know that I'm SOOO late but I was wondering if
    1. I actually need to have a quarantine tank
    and
    2. What food should I feed my betta fish if I also have snails in the tank as well.
I'm probably going to the pet store on Monday to get a tank and supplies and obviously a fish so I was wondering if you could give me some other tips or links to other videos.
Btw this is going to be the first time I get a fish and I'm stoked.
    Thanks!

Saw your dwarf corals and some of the issues. I have a colony with plenty of babies local here that are doing well and healthy in Aurora water. If that group doesn’t do well let me know and I can get some too you!

Hello Irene. Do you know how long frozen worms last in the freezer after you defrost them? I own only a couple of tropical fish and a betta across 3 medium size tanks and they can’t finish one capsule in one feeding :)

Hi I was wondering if you feed just once a day or more often? Thanks 😊

  • @thehornwortofhornwort9832

I think that sometimes feeding the same stuff all the time is acceptable if there is algae or micro fauna for the fish to get additional food from.

Im just starting up my first community tank with a female beta fish, some platies and maybe some panda Corys. But im still a bit confused on what food to get for those fish and how to feed the different ones if they have other food needs. Do you have any suggestions on what foods I should get?
