I’ve never laughed so much. He’s winding us up. Believe me he can fly this he’s good. Anyone trying this for the first time lasts a millisecond and puts all the bits in a bin liner and goes home a grand or two lighter.
Absolutely!! Flying helicopters is never as easy as manufacturer videos would have people think!!!
Been there, done that. A bit of inexperience and a bit of total "oops missed a step". I was rather stoked to fly that heli! Lol
I was good for $200+ in parts every time I flew.
i did quite well my first time a friend had a 3d 90 mph i wernt doin tricks and that but took off flew and landed it

@@jamesmacenhill3841 you might afford an electrical 3D one but still got the common sense not to try to fly it without proper training.
An actual idiots (me) might be able to just get a pico electrical 3D copter and have a lot of fun with it, while replacing every part of it at each flight :p at least after some time you don't crash it too much anymore... :D not that I'll go for a fuel copter anytime soon if ever.

Kev reminded me why I traded all my glow helis in for brushless.. Other than the tinkering factor they are just an exercise in frustration, especially when they flame out at high speed for no apparent reason.. Not even noting the oily slime that gets into every crevice.
Than you are just a poor mechanic.
@@DownLow0099 probably... But glow motors are just a lottery, work flawlessly one day, next day they run like crap because the temperature has dropped 2 degrees.. The main reason I gave them up was the hard to obtain and extremely expensive glow fuel.
Electric R/C is a blessing. Never again with a nitro motor in anything.
I've had brushless helis. You need lots of big 12s packs, big chargers and generators for charging just to get a few 3min flights. Nitro you just tank up and go again and get 10 - 15 min flight. everything has pros and cons
@@DownLow0099 Must be nice to have a perfectly tuned nitro motor that is 100% reliable, I have worked in Aircraft maintenance and been flying Heli's for years, I've never seen one. Instead of making ignorant comments maybe you should share the tips that make you such a great mechanic.

Nice! Nitro Heli's are the ultimate RC. That's where all the tech in the RC hobby originated, gyros, servos etc. Mad respect that's a fair bit of cash flipping through the air.

I had a buddy that had his Align 600 fly away! But, luckily a tree stopped it! It was freaking wild! The throttle was stuck!
Love 3D helis, I own many from Oxy, SAB, synergy, blade, and align. Took me about 2 years to master hard 3D smack flights. Great hobby

This man is responsible for my growing toy collection.
Kev i fly nitro and electric heli's myself and that trex 600's engine was bogging down under load, spluttering, and was running awfully!. Make sure you are using the correct Glow Plug/Fuel mix combo and obviously set you tuning needles up right. Also, remember the ambient temperature will have a significant effect on what Glow Plug/Fuel mix combo is required for engine to run properly.

Watching this made me reconsider starting flying helis/drones again. I just wish they would sell kits or plans for much bigger stuff, preferably big enough to lift me if I wanted to. That said, this looked fun too and now I will browse for whatever news in this topic, hoping the possible scales have grown, and if not, that bigger scales are at least on the horizon. I could just make something from scratch, however, I would prefer it was planned built and tested by professionals first, but it's not a must, it just would take that much more time effort and money, which is why I haven't done anything about it...yet.
Any luck finding one big enough? And out of curiosity, why do you need/want one with that capability? O.o
