I couldn't really imagine an AMV suiting such a dark and terrifying anime on such a deep level, but as soon as I heard this song I knew there would be someone who could make it work... You just created a fucking masterpiece.

The anime is one hell of a psychotic mindfuck. It's the usual shit in anime, you know: child needs to save the world, gets given mech, shit goes down... but he doesn't go charging in head first. He's literally the -kid-, not technically the hero. He reacts the same way any human would, but goes into the action. It's a mental clusterfuck in the best way possible, and one the the MUST WATCH animes of your life.
Probably the best AMV that evangelion has on YT right now, honestly. The song used it is just perfect.
Awesome how one can have such a different interpretation of portraying their feelings in an AMV. Much respect.

Oh yeah, this song would suit it very well too if it's clipped right, but Evengaleon just seems to suit the emotion very well. The immensely psychotic, growing level of instability of a child being forced into the position of maintaining what small amount of the world is left, simply because he's one of the few who actually -can-. This song just elevates that emotion and suits it on more than the usual 'epic moments' basis, in my opinion.

What it likely is, since it's anime and shit, is it uses "manufactured muscle", and the organs are the more advanced tissue that act as various filters, stabilizers and such that help control the EVA. It also links the user to the mech, via the body suit, much more intricately than any control panel ever can; thus allowing a much more in depth and stable platform. Hence why the group is called 'N.E.R.V.E.'... well, that's the theory.

The Evangelions are not machines. *Spoilers* In the original anime, the EVAs were cloned from Adam, had a human soul bonded to the core, and the EVA/Souless Angel was placed in "binders" (the armor) to restrict its power. Unit 01 was the only known exception, having been created from Lilith, rather than Adam. This all seems the same in the Rebuilds, except Unit 01 and 13 bear a strong resemblance to the "Adams" seen in 1.11 during 2nd Impact, perhaps meaning 01 & 13 were born of Adam(s) as well.
