    Hi Nat! What fun! On the Celtic roller, the way you did the two bands, you can fill in the background with underglaze and I think it will look super.
    On the one you rolled up and down, I had thought that it would make a great vase with the scalloped rim, even with a smooth part under the rim where you could collar in, and turn it into a ribbon around a neck.. Also, sometimes I wait to trim the rim until I'm done if it's not too distorted. I'm thinking I may try something similar and make it into a bowl. We'll see! Thanks for sharing this. I can't wait to see them glazed!

      I’ve thought about bowling one but they twist like faceted pieces so it would be hard to do. Might try it tho. Maybe a wide bowl then roller inside rim or outside rim after bowling it

    Also, pull the tube out of the paper, then peel the paper out

    Wow! You pulled off something I was only imagining could be done. I didn’t think it was possible to to texture a thrown cylinder. How did you learn about this? You’re such an imaginative, creative soul… so inspiring. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

      @@mudmagic407 Ooh, thanks… I’ll check out his CZcams channel. He’s from the Bay Area here in California (where I live) and I just met him in person at the local clay and glass festival this last weekend. What a coincidence!
      The mugs are going to turn out amazing, I’m looking forward to the kiln unloading. 🙂

    I am a hand builder so I use poolnoodle as some as my forms I expect they would work well for this too

    Hiya I'm looking through videos and can't find you mentioning what Keanes clay you like to use.
    I'm wanting a white speckled one to use cone 5/6. And an opinion from someone that's used these clays is beneficial. Thanks

      @mudmagic407  Před 23 dny +1

      It’s keanes 6 white. The keanes 6 white speckled is gorgeous too.

      @@mudmagic407 I'm reading about the keanes clay #6. It states glaze fire cone 6. Do you notice any issues going to cone 5 and do you know what they may be?
      Where some of the others have a big range say from glaze 03 to 10 for special K.
      Sorry for question time. I just like to learn and figure things out. Would not wanna make something huge and have it fail. Yes, I know it's a learning experience but.....I like to sometimes get around it the easy way. Lol.
      Ciao and happy potting, keep them hands dirty.

      @evelynzinnauer348 I would suggest contacting keanes for technical information. I would not like to give u incorrect information however I have not had an issue with it personally.
