- Today I fix the last thing wrong with my 5 year project TBSS.
I bought this truck as a roller (no engine), almost 5 years ago. This was my first LS project and I learned a lot about the platform after swapping in 4 different engines. From oil starvation to getting taken on a junk long block.
The truck currently has an iron block 408 stroker, LS3/L92 heads, a huge cam and a 4L80 with a 3200rpm stall. It regularly tows car, boats and tractors all while making a very streetable 500rwhp.
The truck is finally completely sorted out and looking great. Which means its time to find it a new home before it breaks again. I hate to see it go, but we need the space for more projects. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Always good to see you and JR working together, you makes a good team. 👍
So progressive
Hope all is well, Josh. This video is just what I needed for tonight!
Wow, this video has been in the can as film people would say. JR'S entire Turo fleet was still there.
I noticed that as well (noticed the Fiat). Fresh content is new content. Hopefully Josh is finding the time to catch up on his edits so the subscribers can see some more Fractured Rooster content (no pressure Josh).
Damn!! I want one of these trucks so bad!! That is a beautiful truck! One day, I will.
This video was a nice surprise tonight. Glad to see Josh back at it. I hope you are doing well Josh. Look forward to the next projects.
That Chevy needed to leave 11's in someone else's life also... Sad to see it go but a change is as good as a holiday! Welcome back!
Great "Airplane" quote!
If that SS had 6 speed manual it would be the perfect driver, and whole lot of fun.
Until your stuck in stop and go city traffic then you'll be wishing it had a automatic with a stall converter
A welcome sight: Fractured Rooster Content
Not sure why this video escaped my attention. I'm sure someone is having a great time owning that beast.
A platypus is a duck that utters platitudes.
Hope you are doing well Josh. Great to see a new Fractured Rooster video!
I drove a long ways to a salvage that advertised a transmission cross member. Then the mechanic said he NEVER had a rusted out cross member when he installed a Reman Transmission. Hilarious.
Welcome back Josh! Love the videos!
Great to see you back Josh, missed your videos. If you didn't like putting gas in the Blazer before you would really hate it with current gas prices.
Wow, what a beast. You’ve done all the things to that truck and made it a monster. It just needs a newer corvette transmission with all the overdrives to get the rpm’s down when cruising. Whoever gets it next will have a hoot with it.
Great vid, thanks for another one 👌
Glad you're back
Good to see some content, Josh!
Dang Josh that TBSS sounds naaaaasssty!😁 It's been a while since it's been around
Good to see you back to making videos.
It’s gotta great growl to it. Missed your video releases. Cheers mate!
Hi Josh, thanks for using a decent microphone. I've been watching JR's channel for many years and I love his content but the lack of on-body mic drives me crazy because he turns back to talk to the cars like 100 times per video and the volume goes down.
Agreed. Buys a whole damn warehouse but refuses to buy a simple Rode mic.
wow back after 4 months!
Awesome video, was just talking about your videos great timing!
Happy you are back man. Hope to see some Bronco updates soon. Heck anything you post is good.
The Rooster is back !
Love the Blazer Josh. Great ride. Onto the next.
Josh that thing really rips! Great video!
Loved that blazer
you are awesome Josh, always a highlight with Jr , God Bless you buddy
Classic no speedometer on a hard launch. Great TBSS video. 👍
I got a 2004 Chevy Trail Trailblazer LS 80000 miles needs a front windshield detailing 2500 cash
and sounds great also
Car sounds awesome with the wicked cam, ya need to drive it more often and post more, but you are a busy boy. My 06 Charger RT you turn the key to start about 5 seconds above 5 mph and that turns traction control fully off then it tries to kill you....
I put a 727 in my Dart to make it bullet proof and still killed a couple of them, last one still lives and has for over 30 years because I deleted the stage 2 shift kit and downshift at any speed mods.
Yes!
You forgot to mention how well it does "off-roading," and going up a slight incline, lol!
Man, can somewhat date this footage by the cars in the warehouse.
I've never been able to evacuate all of the transmission fluid through the dip stick no matter what I used to do it. There's always 20 to 50 percent left even after trying everything to get the most possible out. A drain plug in the pan is the most effective way to reduce the mess of dropping a transmission pan.
I'd bet most of what is in the 5-10' of hose drains back into the pan when it loses suction.
Glad to see it fixed!
Send it!!!!!!
I wish you would pass the trailblazer on to me I desperately need a ride 😢
A few hours???? The market is crazy right now. ✌️
Not first and I don't care... just glad to see a new vid from him
Noooooooo this was my favorite vehicle in the fleet
@The Fractured Rooster if you ever miss working on the Blazer you can always work on mine 🤣
Love the TBSS (and vacuum pump), Thanks for the great tips. Would putting 3.73 gears in the rear end help?
The TBSS came with 4.10 gears. Which is why they aren't popular for many as commuters. They pull a fair amount of RPM at highway speed and drink a lot of gas.
The fractured Rooster is awesome ! Sorry to see that beast go ! When will we see that boat again ?
When it warms up outside, It's getting a full detail, a day on the water and then listed for sale.
sounds awesome, I'm looking a SS do you have a price range in mind?
Hi, do you know why the horn doesn't sound when I push the spring like you do?
I have already tried to sand the areas where the horn makes contact but it does not sound normally
It sounds but it is intermittent but not always, I have already checked the fuse and relay and if it works.
Hey Josh, been following all the old post on WatchJR Go & wondered what happened to the TBSS. After all the drama, I'm glad that you got a few good 'rips' in, before it went away. Whatever happened to the Ford Falcons? They were the XP models over here and much sought after by car enthusiasts, now we have better roads. In the 1960's when they were released here, they broke with our under-developed road networks. Especially the country roads which were often only a lane wide and referred to a "2 wheels on, 2 wheels off", when a vehicle coming the other way came along.
All the best with your next build. OH, could you please tell us where "The Fractured Rooster" came from?
Thank you for your support.
The falcon is in cold storage at the moment. The engine machinest is almost done assembling the LS1 power plant. The falcon will reveal itself on the channel soon. With a few other vehicles and one huge channel announcement.
@@TheFracturedRooster Looking fwd to it.
how does a tuner forget to engage lockup?
Looks good ! What fan set up are you running?
Derale DER16927, they use SPAL fans.
Jealous of your e-fans. Just did the radiator on my 4.2, fan clutch is a pain especially with the shroud as it's blocked by the outlet neck. Do the e-fans just plug into the factory fan clutch harness?
There is a 3 relay setup that you hook to an ECU wire for a trigger. Then you have to enable that wire with HPTuners and setup your fan on/off temps and such.
@@TheFracturedRooster Sounds like something that I would screw up.
@@TheFracturedRooster my AC went out and the local mechanic put in a new Fan Clutch - AC still went out routinely. So Dealer claimed only an OEM Fan Clutch would work. Same problem - AC keeps going in and out only those two fan clutches were $2000 or so. Hilarious! I guess the Dealer was supposed to update the PCM for the AC and their notes said that notice was retracted so they didn't do it. Hilarious.
Hello, how can I solve the following problem. My driver's door moves when I go over a pothole or bumpy road.
Sounds like broken hinges or a bad latch.
Open the door, then lift on the back edge. If it raises more than about 1/4, you have bad hinges.
If it does move, it's likely a bad latch. Try lubricating it with some white lithium grease from a spray can or any aerosol lubricant like wd40 to see if that helps. If not you may need to adjust striker or replace the latch.
Where did you get the ss badges
They are stock badges with a sticker in their white inset area.
So was it a TBSS or a clone? I see the roof rack and know they didnt come with em.
It was a real SS. I think they were dealer installed. I bought it from the original owner who owned a chevrolet dealership in Kansas City. I assume he ordered it that was or had them installed.
There's only one fix it and that is the right way.
How come you don't have duel exhaust on that beast.
Costly and no performance increase. We ran the truck on the dyno with out a muffler and it lost 6hp & 19ftlb. I guess its true, Louder is not always faster.
Josh why did you convert from 4 wheel drive to two wheel drive?
Cost and because the C6 oilpan won't work with AWD. Selling the diff and transfer case bought my 4L80.
@@TheFracturedRooster thanks for the answer Bro.
How much u sElling for
Trans might be cooked
Turn Stabilitrak back on....you're not in high school any more....and with 20k miles on four successive engines, the best thing you could do with this thing is get rid of it.
I'm surprised that you didn't drain the transmission fluid through the new drain plug in the transmission pan in addition to vacuuming the fluid through the dipstick. You talked about how well the new drain plug worked with a long hose and that you never spilled any fluid. What happened??? I hope you changed the transmission filter because of all the debris in the fluid.
that was the engine oil drain plug he was referring to.
@@Revolauncher Thanks, my mistake!
Whole lotta ATF left in the pan after using the fancy-schmancy sucking machine. FAIL!
That is a nasty rig. It hauls ass.
