Haha! 😅 It might amaze how many have a Triton but haven't taken this step 😞🪜. I get this question quite a lot. I have 4 Masterclasses on the Triton though. With more advanced stuff. 👊

Yes my friend. Largely the same but the piano requires energy. I answered it in this video too: czcams.com/video/9pC5_J3Xifs/video.html

I just got my Korg Triton pro X yesterday with a free hard shell case! It'll be my second dream keyboard! It's right next to my Roland Fantom X8 😊 do you think the Triton Pro X is better than the Korg krome 88?
    Thank you!

WOW! Dope! Congrats on getting your Korg Triton Pro X! It's definitely a legendary keyboard, and having a free hard shell case is a sweet bonus. Comparing it to the Korg Krome 88, there are some key differences to consider (ALTHOUGH I AM HEAVILY TRITON BIASED LOL for obvious reasons. Based on the pros a few points below):
      Sound Engine and Sounds:
Triton Pro X: Uses the HI synthesis engine, known for its warm, punchy, and vintage character. It excels at classic sounds like pianos, electric pianos, organs, strings, brass, and analog synths.
Krome 88: Uses the newer EDS-X engine, which focuses on high-fidelity and realism. It boasts detailed acoustic and electric pianos, orchestral instruments, and modern electronic sounds.
      Features and Functionality:
Triton Pro X: Offers a sequencer, sampler, effects processor, and arpeggiator. It's a well-rounded workstation for live performance and production.
Krome 88: Lacks a built-in sequencer and sampler, but has a focus on live performance with features like scene memories, quick sound switching, and a large touch screen.
      Keybed:
Triton Pro X: Has a semi-weighted RH2 keybed, comfortable for playing but not ideal for piano purists.
Krome 88: Boasts a fully-weighted RH3 keybed, providing a more authentic piano feel.
      Popularity:
Triton Pro X: A classic keyboard with a dedicated fanbase, praised for its vintage character and versatility.
Krome 88: A newer model with less hype, but appreciated for its realistic sounds and focus on live performance.
      Overall:
Choosing between the Triton Pro X and Krome 88 depends on your priorities. If you love classic sounds, a vintage vibe, and want a workstation with built-in sequencing and sampling, the Triton Pro X is a great choice. If you prioritize high-fidelity sounds, focus on live performance, and prefer a fully-weighted keybed, the Krome 88 might be a better fit.
Ultimately, your Roland Fantom X8 is already a top-tier keyboard, so the Triton Pro X would be a great complement for its warm and vintage character. The Krome 88 might be somewhat redundant in your setup. Post a video here so I can see you killing it! Cheers!

@@phillc I absolutely love the tritons keybed! It's weighted and it's got a different feel that I like. Yeah the fantom is my number one board of all time as it has a drum pad, realistic piano mode and so on. That being said the Triton sounds are cool and I can create my own synth sounds and it's fun! Both amazing keyboards for different reasons. On the Triton, how do you record tracks and use the arpeggiator? They seem to be on, but I hear nothing happening and am confused.
      Thank you!

    Can it transpose please

    • @phillc
      @phillc  Před 8 měsíci +1

When you play the TRITON together with other
instruments, or along with music on a CD or tape, you
may need to adjust the tuning so that the pitch
matches. To adjust the tuning, use Global P0: Basic tab
“Master Tune.” The tuning can be adjusted in a range
of -50 - +50 cents (one semitone is 100 cents).
You can also transpose by changing the pitch in semitone steps. To transpose the pitch of the entire TRITON, use Global P0: Basic tab “Key Transpose.” The
pitch can be transposed over a range of ±1 octave. See PAGE 125 of this TRITON MANUAL PDF: cdn.korg.com/us/support/download/files/6599e33b87e991b60dadb0016b8376a0.pdf
