Just started watching this show recently (for the first time), and could tell this was Edd's composition before I saw his name in the credits. Only he (among composers of game show music at the time) would write (and probably perform) a moog bridge that sounds this good.
That is the best bridge ever. The glissando that it starts with gets me every time. Edd is a genius. I got to see him perform live once, and I was blown away with his modern synth programming.

@darrinbaker00 Yes! I do remember Bert Convy doing this famous 1970's TV game show. Unfortunately, Bert passed away in the 1990's. I think he was ill with cancer. This was another very nice tv game show from the past and u don't c tv game shows like this anymore-pity.
Opening Spiels: Jack Clark: Everyone in this arena has a money stake in one of our famous couples! Rooting section #1 has its money on Bobby Van and Elaine Joyce! Rooting section #2 backs Dick Gautier and Barbara Stuart! And rooting section #3 is betting on Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara as we play the game of celebrity gossip.....TATTLETALES! And here's the star of Tattletales, BERT CONVY! (Note: opening came from the premiere episode, which can be found here on CZcams) If there were a revival (premiere week): Jim Thornton: Everyone in our studio audience is backing one of our celebrity couples! The red section backs 'Good Morning America' correspondent Melissa Rycroft and Tye Strickland! The banana section has its money on 'America's Funniest Home Videos' host Alfonso Ribeiro and Angela Unkrich! And the blue section is betting on 'Dancing With The Stars' judge Julianne Hough and NHL star Brooks Laich as we play the game of celebrity gossip......TATTLETALES! And here's the star of Tattletales, TY TREADWAY!
Michael Nebbia Everyone in this arena has a money stake in one of our famous couples! The red section has its money on Erin Andrews and Jaret Stoll! And now, here's the host of Tattle Tales, Craig Ferguson!
Almost all of the Goodson-Toddman game shows used the same composers. Also, some game show themes would wind up on another game show (the Trebek "Double Dare" and the Perry version of "Card Sharks" used the same theme) or as prize cues (the "Family Feud" theme as both a car cue and as the intro cue for the TPIR's "Grand Game" and the "Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour" theme as car cue).
this is the theme I most associate with TT, dating back to the 70's when it was a cool complement to Match Game 7x ... Here's to Bert Convy and the Bannana Section !!!!

I watch Tattletales on BUZZR too! I know I must be crazy, but after seeing so much of Patti Deutsch on both Tattletales and the Match Game, strangely I'm starting to find her attractive.
fscap811 Yeah, she has a random, sometimes obscure sense of humor but is always enjoyable to watch on either program. I'll always remember her reaction to how her husband Donald Ross described the time their dachshund destroyed Bert Convy's apartment.

This isn't the version used on TV, I can tell. This vamp is straight synth and drums. The one used on air had more instruments playing in the background.
+michael thomas He was actually tapped to host the revival of The Match Game, which he would've been perfect for but his health issues in the final 2 years of his life prevented that!!
It would be interesting if they brought this show back today. But they would have to find a host who knew as many people in Hollywood as Bert Convy did and have the same likable personality, and that would be hard to find. Plus they would need to have a comedians' quick wit. Martin Short or Jim Carey would have been great at this, if they were younger. WRZ 2020-07-28
If Fremantle could get Bob Saget to host a rebooted Tattletales, that would be something to see. Maybe George Gray, Jonathan Mangum or even, Shadoe Stevens could serve as announcers!!!

@@drummerflex Gershon Kingsley co-wrote The Joker's Wild theme, that too was phenomenal.
@@steadfastcoward It just sounded creepy to me. I don't know why, but I've never liked the original. I liked Hal Hidey's version much better.
Concentration in the 70s has a similar sound

Don't forget John Harlan. He also announced on TattleTales. But Jack Clark was the man.
Stay tuned for Musical Chairs. Next over most of these CBS stations.
this bring me to coming home from summer school every day! thanks you guys rock!
Edd Kalehoff must have had more than one Schaefer Beer while composing this theme.
I think he was betting on the banana section myself ;)
Fantastic show, and theme.
FANTASTIC LOL
This sounds like a theme song for a kids show from the time period like the Electric Company

They were all produced by studio musicians known as Score Productions.

Kevin Hart
D.L. Hughley
Tyler Perry
Tommy Davidson
Kim Wayans

Edd Kalehoff for Score Productions. Edd is possibly the most prolific TV music composer in history.
@c3section and Tattletales was classier and funnier wheras TMZ is 100% sleaze
@darrinbaker00 Alex Trebek did, too! hee hee hee
bert convy died in 1991 from a brain tumor.

Well That Answer My Question On How Bert Convy Died
If Bert was alive in the 1990s, he could have been a great host of Match Game '90, so Match Game '90 could have lasted much longer.
When I post my videos I usually try to make sure no one else has a similar video already posted. I guess you don't do the same.
And yet you were apparently too phuckin stupid to include a link to the video
you are whining about, eh dipshit ?
