I can totally empathise AB.Thank you for showing this "service" (or lack of it) for what it is.
I've tried 5 times in person, to retrieve my phone which was seized over 2 weeks ago now. The arrest was made on entirely invented accusations of assault. a few days later I got a scrap of paper through my door with a hand written note saying there is no further action will be taken, presumably because of the footage I recorded of the entire event on my phone for my own protection.
The contstables at both Holborn and Kuntish Town porklies station are all even worse than the muppets you've encountered here and previously for this.
The main desk staff make an art of not listening, going round in circles, sending emails which get no response and especially at taking offence at anything said which isn't entirely obsequious, submissive or subservient. They all take great delight in treating people as though they are children.
I've did get slightly better service when I called 999 and 101 from the station to report that the pigs had stolen my phone. At least they attempted to help.
These people mostly seem to live in their own little world, where the public are mainly a nuisance, to be treated as a problem and with complete disdain. They simply couldn't care less it seems.
Sorry if I'm letting off a bit here, but if the pigs had done their job at the time, none of this would have happened and 2 weeks without my phone as self employed is just intolerable and their lack of care to the damage they do is unacceptable. To date, of the aproximately 5 emails sent, I have gotten no reply. There is no number to contact the officer on individually, no one takes any responsibility and they wonder why they get slagged off.
There needs to be an complete overhaul of what they consider to be service and who they are actually working for.

    • @djvincentkelly5599
      @djvincentkelly5599 Před 2 lety +8

Im going to presume that you've got your phone back now but in future if this ever occurs again, write an email/letter and at the bottom put your charges per email/letter sent and the daily charge for keeping your phone based on what you would usually earn as a self employed person. Put your charge if having to go to court to retrieve the money plus court costs. That way you've put them on notice. Once you finally get your phone/property back you total up the charges & send them an invoice. Give them 7/10/14 days to settle it. If not settle. Write again with an invoice for 2nd time. Give 7/10/14 days to pay invoice. If no payment then send a default notice for payment. Then take it to small claims court for all invoice amount plus court costs and fee stated for having to attend court. The fees are yours to decide within reason. I.e £25-£250 per letter/email £500-£5000 for court attendance win or loose. They only learn when it starts costing money & it affects their jobs.

There is no data protection, especially in your case because the file has no name against it. If you had gone in without the receipt but your drivers licence, they would have said "sorry we can't find the file because you didn't give identification".

As for him having a hearing problem - why the hell is he on a reception desk dealing with the public when he can't hear them? Further the chief constable/superintendent should also be fired because the buck of this deliberate/malicious incompetence is totally unacceptable. To think that we are paying for this kind of scum. As far as I am concerned no service no pay should be the order of the day and if this was me I would demand that not a penny of my taxes go toward the police and in return I promise never to call them out - which I have never done in 70 years. Man hats off to you and your patience. Btw, when they say, go online to make a complaint. Your response should be what about people that don't know how to use the internet. They should have readily available complaint or commandment forms readily available for members of the public.
Also, another pointer is to get them to write down your email address as if anything doesn't come through they cant say that they couldn't understand your hand writing.
Additionally, you should have asked for complaint form to put in on your lack of service today.
Lastly, make a request for any call outs of sergeants from that building to cross reference with the Enquiry Officers account of "No supervisors here" claim. If it turns out that there were supervisors in the station, put through another complaint.
Please keep us updated, would like to see how this is dealt with.

Also, a huge tell in dishonesty as it's exaggerated expression done forcefully to try and convince the person being lied to. That man is a disgrace to the police and public servants who work with them. They are not there to protect the police. They are there purely for admin duties such as pulling up that record you asked for. He should be disciplined.

  • @AuditingBritain
    @AuditingBritain  Před 4 lety +12

Police powers to stop and search: your rights
The police can stop and question you at any time - they can search you depending on the situation.
A police community support officer (PCSO) must be in uniform when they stop and question you. A police officer doesn’t always have to be in uniform but if they’re not wearing uniform they must show you their warrant card.
The rules are different in Scotland.
    Stop and question: police powers
A police officer might stop you and ask:
    what your name is
what you’re doing in the area
    where you’re going
You don’t have to stop or answer any questions. If you don’t and there’s no other reason to suspect you, then this alone can’t be used as a reason to search or arrest you.
    Stop and search: police powers
A police officer has powers to stop and search you if they have ‘reasonable grounds’ to suspect you’re carrying:
    illegal drugs
    a weapon
    stolen property
something which could be used to commit a crime, such as a crowbar
You can only be stopped and searched without reasonable grounds if it has been approved by a senior police officer. This can happen if it is suspected that:
    serious violence could take place
you’re carrying a weapon or have used one
you’re in a specific location or area
    Before you’re searched
Before you’re searched the police officer must tell you:
    their name and police station
what they expect to find, for example drugs
the reason they want to search you, for example if it looks like you’re hiding something
why they are legally allowed to search you
that you can have a record of the search and if this isn’t possible at the time, how you can get a copy
    Removing clothing: police powers
A police officer can ask you to take off your coat, jacket or gloves.
The police might ask you to take off other clothes and anything you’re wearing for religious reasons - for example a veil or turban. If they do, they must take you somewhere out of public view.
If the officer wants to remove more than a jacket and gloves they must be the same sex as you.

I think essence of this auditoring stories is to show all of us ( citizens and authorities ) that appart of what we represent or who ,we should be always polite and sort of proffesional to each other - to not loose cold blood or be an puppet of our own ego s - which is actual problem in all of these vids.
