    I'm not sure if I'll ever have the need to bale my own hay but I found this very interesting. I had no idea those mini balers existed, very cool! Good luck to you at your homestead.

      We will add another video this year with more details. We have also purchased a new drum mower. Hoping to get some video on that this year.

      No it is stupid. Just as many as you would have if you square baled and the damn things do not stack anywhere near as good as square bales. Like they say though there is an ass for every seat.

    Looks like it works good on level ground.

      We have some hills, and it does fine there, too. ❤️ It's a great little unit.

      @@DeeSixHomestead you don’t have hills like I have on my farm in Pennsylvania.

    • @DeeSixHomestead
      @DeeSixHomestead  Před 8 měsíci

      @Dave-ll6ei probably not. On the plus side you have way more otions for buying smaller equipment in the USA. There are way cooler attachments available, and shipping is cheaper, too.

    I have a Farm Maxx 330 and love it. However, the 3point hook up is a pain. Could you show how yours attaches to your tractor? I'm looking for options to change mine.

    • @DeeSixHomestead

      We are in the dead of winter right now it is -42°c or -44°f. When things warm up, we will purposely make a video showing how everything attaches and any modifiers we made for the equipment.
      Might wanna subscribe in case I forget to come back to this comment when we post the video. I will say that our baler came with the 3pt option or the tow behind, and we chose the tow model. (Blaine knows the specifics better)
      Thanks for the question! Stay tuned.

    It would be nice if someone made a ground power or self powered sickle bar mower that could be pulled by a lawn/garden tractor of say 15 HP.

      Agree wholeheartedly! We would throw money at them! There is a HUGE market for smaller equipment, but no manufacturers.

      You can buy anything online. I am sure there is something on one of those sites like alibaba.

    Video speedup too fast to see how tools actually work. Not helpful as scenes aren't realistic.

    • @DeeSixHomestead
      @DeeSixHomestead  Před 6 měsíci

      Sorry about that. It is difficult trying to balance short attention spans with video length and details. We plan to do a much more in-depth tour of each machine this upcoming year, showing the modifications and how the attachments fit and operate.

      Seeing how these machines work in real time aside, does a market exist for these smaller bales? This is the first time I've seen a CUT pull a "real" mower, impressive. My JD655 can pick up and rake with a 9' Ford rake, and the 224W in the barn can surely make 40-50-pound bales.
      Used haying equipment is available for a lot ess than these smaller products. I see advantages of having mini haying equipment for a smaller farming operation but not sure if there's a commercial market for the small round bales. Has anyone been interested in buying any of these bales or have you done any custom work?
