Kia Ora…I’m hoping to find whanau/relatives…Anaru Wiapo who is also in the Auckland museum is my GGGG grandfather and my fathers mother is a Skipper but I don’t know much about that side because I was raised by a solo pakeha mother & then taken into cyfs on my 9th birthday. I have 3 kids now and whanau and connecting is so important, knowing who I am, so I can tell my kids who THEY are. I was just wondering if anyone knows more or could tell me more? Or if we whanau (manukau, skipper, Connelly, wiapo, paikea, watts etc) are names im related to. Would love to connect 💕🙏🏼

Kia Ora, I’m from the Manukau Whanau (Mums side of the Whanau) that used to live in Wellsford for a few generations (I’m 3rd gen). The Connelly Whanau are from Wellsford too and Paikea’s, but most Paikea’s lived in Kaiwaka or Otamatea when I was growing up. ✌🏾🤙🏾
