- We get invited to look at new facilities at the Glarus Hotel in June 2024. This popular Jet2 hotel is situated right on the front overlooking the stunning Black Sea in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. A call from the owner was most welcome as we are often asked about this hotel so it was really fun to look around. Andrew also gets a photo shoot in the new spa, just opened this season as well as a new gym.
Glarus means seagull and this is expressed by the amazing bird shaped main pool.
The hotel has undergone many changes in its time as being one of the oldest in the resort but maintains its status as a mid value choice for many families. It has a plain style, which resonates with Western European holiday makers
This is our view of the hotel, we were not paid and the end video did not go though any approval process. The owners are actually friends of ours and trust us to make a fair representation of our time there. This is how we get to do these great videos with interesting content as we actually live here year round and are not just tourists.

Hi, Glarus hotel mum used to work there for 4 summer seasons back in 2009-2012 in the reception , just brings memories from childhood, back, first swimming pool I learned to swim thanks for sharing inside the reception , we were there back in 2009 when there was old square shape pool back in the days it was looking old building they fully refurbished it and made it bigger, I was there to use first the seagull shaped pool the pool guards staff used to give me snorkeling items for free just fabulous great memories free holidays for me b back then thanks for sharing!
It does seem to keep staff for many years. It's one of the oldest hotels but now does not resemble it's age. Glad you enjoyed the video

In season the beaches are beautiful but I love the green mountains behind , the forest starts behind our house.
Glarus looks excellent especially showing us the facilities. Just catching up on your videos after returning last week from Algarve, Vienna and Bratislava.

My parents use to take us to glarus in the late 90s before they even had a pool lol looks amazing now.
I was surprised it's an original hotel here.

Suddenly it will be packed. Some things haven't changed too much but the English breakfast has leaped to crazy prices, won't have one this year , normally just one gotta watch my figure.

It's not what we do it was that we know the owners . it's a hobby so do not want to get involved in permissions and hotel reviewing and approving the video before publishing. Of course some go round secretly filming which isn't fair on guests in the hotel , its very disrespectful and shows little empathy for others on holiday.
Almost a full year to go until we are there, staying at dit evrika for the 3rd time....I miss it so much so I watch your videos to cheer me up😂

It's guests only really as it's where the rooms are.

It's a hobby, we get a bit from you tube adverts towards the costs. Could easily get some work paying far more if we wanted to but don't want to actually work.

can u tour us around the trakia plaza hotel resort , we are staying there in august but don’t seem to find any videos of the hotel , they are all the apartments , thanks 😊
We don't do hotel reviews , the Glarus we knew the owner. There are a couple of trakias, the palace looks impressive but I hear food isn't good. Luckily it's near great places to eat and drink being near our favourite area of five corners. To do hotels properly is quite involved we have friends doing that but for income, we don't sneak about with hidden cameras. Security stop unauthorised filming now as many just want to make a horror hotel video to gain views, often a very unfair view .

Over 30C today, really hot. be out tomorrow evening in the resort with a greet and meet but have some photographic tech arriving tomorrow so waiting in for the courier.
We arrive late on Wednesday night. Ready for our break now.
Airports are a nightmare, allow plenty of time. Friends finding long delays getting through controls now.

Nice hotel, it's on its own but a quick walk to busy areas. This year is getting fantastic reviews. It's in a few of our videos , well maintained.
Where is the grand hotel thanks
About 15 minutes walking North from the Jetty and Flower Street. I hear its fantastic after the complete refit this year.
This time next week we will be on our way to the hotel from the airport aslong as there is no delays from newcastle 😅
Leave plenty of time, the airports are chaotic now.
