the reason they are taller compared to the original Mercurius and Vayeate due to their longer legs is to go along with the theme of G-Unit as in unlike the main Wing anime who's Mobile Suits size along with the five main Gundams are usually 16 meters tall and the Mobile Suits in G-Unit are especially the Gundams are 18 meters tall in height, the reason for this is to homage the early Universal Century MS sizes and compare them to the After Colony's MS sizes.
I really enjoyed my build of this set, especially since I missed the previous drop of the base versions. The only really low spot for me was that the Vayeate's right kneecap in my kit was defective on the runner. First time I've had that happen on a gunpla. Still have them proudly displayed on my shelf, just made sure to hide the right knee a bit.
Yeah, I almost never get defective parts on my kits, but it has happened. Specifically I had the right leg missile pod of the MG Heavyarms EW completely mismolded, and I also had a junk plastic piece from the factory molding tray stuck in the bag in my RG 00 Quanta (Trans Am clear). Oddly enough, both cases weren't normal retail kits.

I'm sad that the mercurius and vayeate never got more screen time with the tallgeese in the show I really wish they would do a Kai reboot and be able to add a little more seen Heero Trowa and Zechs in action with the trio would of been dope

Agree the original heads look better. I'm candying Red/Blue these two guys. The grey head piece didn't fit the old head pieces for mine. I had to cast a piece from the original set before I sold it and still had to use super glue.
I'm more of a fan of these than the originals. The colors are far more manageable and I argue they are more appealing, same with the heads. It's not just the double weapons, it's everything. I think everything about them gives more of a threatening danger than the originals. Which I love the originals! I just love these more, they feel more like a threat to a Gundam than the originals.

It honestly makes sense that this version was the premium one, But it's still dumb that the non suivant version Was premium as well. And plus with these models existing they have the molds to finally put out the Virgo models. To me it just seems like the company is against making even more money, Because here's another version of the wing gundam Family As a regular release except for the hoono And the snow white And the master grade of the renaissita 2, But the upgraded gundam's like deathscythe hell being premium only Kind of rude, I mean they already had the legs and the wings existing Thanks to the livelance So all they had to make was the scythe the head arms and chest section And the butt plate of the backskirt and when the altron comes out it's just 2 of the dragon arm A backpack and different knees to ankles Section on the body And shoulders And a double beam Trident. Like heavy arms and sandrock I understand they're upgraded forms being premium Oh we have some extra thrusters on the body and an extra gun But hell had no reason to be premium only Especially when I could pick up A WZ In the stores like it's nothing. And yet I cannot pick up the regular versions of these Unless I met a convention or I feel like paying a 100 plus Even though they could have also sold them as separate models
Anyone able to explain to me why some p-Bandai kits are full box art like this while most aren’t? Does that mean they possibly intended it to be a retail release at first or am I off base here?
I've noticed g unit hg's are all full color. It's possible they may have all been intended to be limited retail release for the US like the Exia Avalanche, xn raiser and astray red dragon mg's.
Lore reason. Romefeller saw the Gundams as a symbol of Colony Resistance. They wanted something that could match the Gundams' power but they didn't want it to be associated with the Gundams.
These P-Bandai kits aren't there for reproduction at the P-Bandai store, but I hope they do come back to order them. Two kits in one package is a good deal. Are there any available at the USA Gundam store?
With Wing Gundam being so well known in North America, I don't get why these are released P-Bandai. I guess Bandai's marketing is just tired of handling all that money.

I absolutely loved this kit. Their display presence is very nice especially when displayed together which was the reason why I got the kit.

The Mercurius and Vayate share tons of parts with the Virgo. Bandai could make that easily enough, and every day I hope they do
