Kudos to that guy for being out and hustling at that age though. I have a soft spot for the elderly and wish more people understood their capacity is different than us younger people.

@@elizabethjocollins4313 Think of it this way, That bloke is just trying to make money to, just as a reseller is, if its priced to high thats ok you move on to find something else, I am a reseller to and i know the cost, but i also know how it is to sell my old items, you want the best price first then keep trying then at the end of the road you may give it away but you tried, everyone is just trying to make some money respect go's both ways, matt shows respect a lot he understands the sellers while trying to make money for himself to.

With the older generation, they can sometimes overvalue their old stuff because it's sentimental to them, or because they remember that they paid a lot for it. My dad had me resell some of his golf clubs. There were 20 year old middle of the line clubs in the mix that he paid maybe $75 a piece for, and he was like, "how about $50?" I had to show him the comps and STR and whatnot. He was shocked that something he paid $75 might only be worth $10-15. Like, legitimately shocked.

I hate yardsales where nothings priced.
Usually when items are placed near the curb it means it’s trash. Maybe that’s what someone believed in taking those pots and plants.

OMG - those Avalon Hill games are worth buying at that price. Out of print games sell. I haven't even heard of the U Boat game before. I know people would buy it just to try it. Anything Avalon Hill or strategy war games, there is a market for.

Well, people price higher when they have a smaller amount of valuables and they need the money. An older person is likely not going to be able to work and make money like they were before so it makes sense he would want as much as he can get for what he has.
@@possumfriend2335 he could easily move all of those collectables by pricing them accordingly for resellers, he still makes a good amount of money to buy new inventory. He doesn't have to wait months or possibly years to get top dollar on that obscure collectibles that no one is gonna pay anywhere NEAR top dollar for locally.
