This week I FINALLY felt like we were wrapping stuff up and feeling more ready for baby to arrive!
We set up the area in our home for the homebirth. Our home's exterior rockwork that had been ripped apart last week was completed & the guy's trailer was out of our driveway. The hole in our wall inside has been patched up & painted JUST in the nick of time. I went to some of my final pregnancy appointments & my awesome nursing chair was delivered. WE ARE READY FOR BABY!

Pretty disappointing that I’ve been watching all of your pregnancy videos etc and been subscribed to you for 10 years but seeing you reject biology and gender is pretty upsetting. God speed to your baby boy or girl. Not a he/she. A child shouldn’t choose their gender which is given to them biologically. I don’t want my child to grow up in a world where that is acceptable, and it diminishes and takes away from the people who TRULY feel they are the wrong gender. But it’s not every second person.
Hi! Actually... gender is socially constructed. Sex is biologically determined. With that said, biological sex is far more complicated than a simple binary XX or XY.
It's interesting that you are triggered by me not knowing the sex of my child (at that point in time) and referring to them as he or she. It wasn't any deeper than that.

Sex is determined by having either a vagina or a penis. Can't stand all this rubbish about being non binary, will leave that to the whingers.
@@KarissaPukas I’m an American, and assuming this person is too. I want to apologize bc this is so embarrassing. People here are so incredibly under educated about sex education, sexual health etc about things like this, even on the positive end, of which in your case was merely the fact of where you live-Canada and the terms you guys use are different than ours. Those of us on the “fighting end” of human rights are really struggling in America right now, and some of us get really really triggered by trivial things bc they’re so not trivial here, ppl are dying bc of it. Sht we even lost our federal constitutional rights to choosing to have an abortion if needed. It’s bad here. Like really bad. But yeah, when I saw that I just assumed it was your ability as a mother to recognize that is the term more widely used there. Americans are so closed off to the world that they don’t even realize that a lot of the developed world outside of us, LIVES BETTER than we do now which is way different than we were taught growing up.

I am LIVING for these videos. The anticipation for the birth vlog is kiiiiilllling meeeee.... then I remember you're raising a human and soaking in the first weeks as mama and I calm down. I'm honestly going to have a little screening of the birth vlog when it's finally released; candles, popcorn, tea, and a quiet moment. Karissa, I started watching you when I was an awkward teen who wanted to learn about makeup. I fell in love with your charisma and down to earth spirit. I'm a fellow BC resident who lives a few hours away from Kelowna, so seeing you move back to the motherland has been really sweet! Now as I work as a doula and future midwife, it's been life changing watching things come full circle with you. Thank you so much for sharing these moments with us and documenting even the busiest and most stressful times of your life. So many blessings to you and your fam xxxxxoooo

P.S. I had to laugh over the Marketplace debacle. I have had similar situations myself. It sucks when you're genuine and attempting to get something to work and you find out you're dealing with a untruthful person. It reminds me that we are not all the same 😆 Take care ❤️

What was that first room you were making the bed for? Is that just a spare room?
It is actually our downstairs living room :) we hadn’t gotten our couch at that point & haven’t really furnished down there so that’s where we thought the birth should be! Was the perfect choice. We had the bed and the birth pool set up with lots of room around ☺️

Hi! I live in Quebec, Canada and it is not free in my province. So you either have to pay when you go or sometimes your medical insurance can cover part of the cost.
