  • China's stubborn border aggression finally resulted in some bold action from India. Unable to strike militarily, India is hitting their adversary where it hurts most; in the pocket. But even in this economic battle, the likelihood of India getting hurt is greater, considering the heavy dependency on their communist neighbour. #checkmatechina #indochina #chinaban
    Correction:
PBoC bought a stake in HDFC Ltd., not HDFC Bank as stated in the video. Bisbo regrets the error.

Just a correction : The takeover of Jaguar-Land Rover by TATA was not a distressed one. Although the economy was down due to the 2008 bubble burst , Jaguar-Land Rover were in their own financial troubles since 1999. Also , post takeover , their sales have increased tremendously on an annual basis and it turned profitable post 2011 (until 2020 ofcourse).

The point is that most Chinese companies are not independent and are influenced or even controlled by the CCP. The CCP does not hesitate in holding up the supply chain and using coercive tactics to accomplish its political and economic goals. So the more independent India is from Chinese influence the better. While India should have an open economy there should restrictions on CCP-controlled China until it improves its behavior , doesn't order the murder of Indian soldiers, and keeps on creating trouble at the border. The CCP always banks on countries placing more weight on their economic relationship and ignoring the threats, espionage, theft of land, bullying, and even murder the CCP indulges in.
