I don’t usually think that you’re arrangements and you’re playing are top rate. They seem academic to me. They sound like a lesson. This is a glorious exception. It’s a great arrangement and you play it perfectly. With precision, poetry, and restraint. Brava. Really. It’s perfection. I can hear Burl Ives singing it. It was on a red 45 rpm that my father placed by my bed when I could barely walk and he kept me supplied with new records. I have listened to you play this five times. There is not a thing I would change. It’s perfection.
Put a video up of your playing mate, so we can judge if your “top rate” talent justifies your semi-enthusiastic comment on Gabriella’s considerable skills.
