I felt terrible watching this vid, after a few days have gone past I can acknowledge how much effort he put into the show, sad to see him sad

@@Matchesta true, he did need to hear it, but i always judge people after putting myself in their shoes. Looking at JJ, i feel heartbroken. Imagine yourself, being personally excited and hoping to get positive feedback. Then spending millions of dollars of your own personal privately earned money, then begging celevrities and telling famous people that the show is good etc, and prolly having conversations with celebs regarding how good the show will be. Then the hard work, reaching early and inviting celebs, then all the setup, dealing with filmers, editors and all people involved in it. And than out of nowhere this happens.....😑

Seeing him be so excited for something he’s worked tirelessly on for everyone to shit on it is so sad. He’s put so much effort in for us to watch his videos for FREE over the years, and when he does something for us as well as for himself in which we have to pay for, everyone complains. He handled the harshness so well, fair play to him, makes me even more of a supporter tbh.

and all the criticism wasn’t unnecessary hate , it was criticism that was well deserved as a lot of his fans me included paid so I think we have room for some opinions .

I don't think any of it was harsh, if he wants to put out a form of entertainment he must be critiqued when it's not up to par, it's how he improves and it's the exact way he HAS improved all through his life, people shit on his early music a few years back and look where he is now, JJ knows how to take criticism and clearly welcomes it he'll be fine

It was a very sick show the approach was not like right but another thing that I wanted to happen was like a JJ and Logan meme fight or something but other than that it was a sick show and I liked the rocky balboa ending but some people taking it too far with the 'criticism'

The show was overhated. Didn't deserve this level of criticism. JJ and the Sidemen have provided FREE top-quality content for years, now the fans have to pay once for an incredible production and people are pissed because they had expectations that he didn't even say. I'm disappointed in the community for that.

it wasnt overhated, it was hated for the right reasons. The guy who slewd the cringy skits and the duration of the show was right about what he said, the show just wasnt it. Sure there are things which he mentioned that were wrong ofcourse, but it still doesnt take away the fact that 90% of which was mentioned in the reddit post was true about the show. It was mediocre tbh, had its moments. Overall it really should've just been a virtual concert. Btw I aint hating, just saying what i think. Im a JJ fan and I would love for him to do better the next time he does a show.

KSI's fan base was way too hard on dude, they act as if he's somebody who's always taken advantage of them throughout his long career on CZcams but that's just not the case. I personally didn't watch it but if I've learnt anything from watching KSI for quite a few years it's that dude JJ has morals and wouldn't hype something up that he either thought his fans would enjoy or he really believed in. This was his first show of this magnitude and and while it didn't go as well as he'd hoped, you know he put everything into it and he'll grow from this.

The paying for a nil nil football match logic is so off base with this situation, they're not apples to apples at all. Basically a lot of people in Simon'd chat just needs to get over the fact that people didn't like it and move rather than justifying and coming up with solutions that aren't validated.
The person talking about "the show wasn't actually live" must be set 8 lol. I also don't know why ppl thought he was going to box logan as if he ever said that. It would have been better if it was more personal like "how to be behzinga" with music performances in between but ppl are still gonna hate like the one guy that commented in Simon's stream.
The biggest problem was that it was mostly music and the parts that wasnt where all planned sketches, no real authentic stuff

I didnt pay for the show but I watched all the hype he brought up beforehand and the assumption that JJ and logan 3 was gonna happen, or that it would be a LIVE LIVE performance are ridiculous. I understand if people weren't insanely impressed but he put so much effort into the show. No reason to shit on him so badly.

I feel like Simon was thinking in the right direction by removing skits from the KSI show. But what I would suggest if KSI ever did this again would be to have more natural and fun interactions with the guests instead. Perhaps
- A crossbar or any other football challenge with Hesky
- an interview with Lorraine
- a spar with Logan
- maybe going baldski again
- carpool karaoke with Anne Marie
- Some sort of cooking segment with Gordan Ramsay
- some activity with the sidemen
I realize that some of these might be hard to do or maybe JJ wouldn't personally want to do them but this mixed with his songs in between would actually be a show that would break the internet.
The thing is most of his fans are not really “music fans” , they don’t really pay for concerts or shows online , so they don’t really know if it’s actually worth 15 or 18 pounds ..
I have paid for multiple online concerts by artists and they usually cost 30$ or more and don’t even have any skits , they just use promo clips of their albums in between the performances to fill in , they don’t even try to satisfy their audience, but just mug them off for their money , I think many of his fans expect the entire Super Bowl show for 18$ , maybe that’s how much they think their money is worth , and they felt robbed and that instant regret after their money was gone just led them to think that the show was bad .. it was great for the money , no matter how much he overhyped it , it’s just JJ , he gets gassed reacting to his stuff and he has every right to feel so , man worked hard for it ..
I agree with you 100%, he worked hard for this and invested a lot of time and money. BUT, I will say the blame/fault lies with the way the show was marketed. It wasn't really marketed as a concert so of course people are going to be upset that they're not getting what they paid for.

To comment on that “would you be mad if it was free” comment. Probably not because I would’ve clicked off after I realized it wasn’t what I expected. The show it’s self wasn’t the issue the issue was he was promoting and selling it as something and it was something different then what he said it was. Also on the football point when you go to any kind of event whether it be a football game, a rugby game, a hockey game, a concert etc you know what you are paying for you know what’s going to happen and if it sucked you would complain absolutely. With this show we didn’t know what it was it was promoted as one thing and didn’t live up to the hype and so people complained it’s really the exact same thing. Like there are people that don’t like certain videos on CZcams and they complain it’s just most of the time the critics get washed away by the positivity but in this case it was a majority that had issues and therefore the critics stand out.
If it was Free I would have different feeling because I didn't have to pay for it. But I think the problem was the name "The KSI Show" when the "show" was a concert with a few 2 min sketches and some of them weren't great. I think it would be also been seen differently if it was promoted differentially
I have always gone back to the point of look who he's announced of course it was gonna to be music based and not a life story or anything else, don't get what all the anger is about

We have seen MANY examples of how bad overhyping can hurt a brand, so that's why you shouldn't overhype it, even if it is really good. the logan/ksi part of the trailer with them in the ring was the equivalent of a yt video with a clickbait thumbnail. i saw nothing wrong with that but i understand how people could be upset at ksi for showing them in the ring only for them to not fight. i think if this was advertised as a virtual concert and nothing else changed, it would've been fine or if it was the ksi show, take some of the music out, have more interviews, skits, and maybe a mini roast session with ksi's friends and family and it would've also been fine

People saying they ‘felt bad’ after watching this video are the reason he can put out anything. JJ has barley ever felt proper criticism in his career, he is surrounded by yes men (Sidemen & Friends) and fans who tell him exactly what he wants to hear just to please him and his ego. At least finally fans were real about something, we need the same criticism for his music because I’m seeing people say every song is a banger and there’s no skips, like c’mon let’s be fucking real man. If the show was made longer as it is promised to be, i don't think there'll be as much criticism as it is now, be it with 80% music 20% skits or vice versa. People just mad because when they were just suddenly hyping on the show, it ended real quick.
I agree with everything but the point at 19:12. With a football match, they don't advertise which team will win or what the exact score will be. I'd say a more accurate illustration would be this, imagine if Godzilla vs Kong advertised a giant, beautiful, red dragon in the trailer and everybody loves it, and then when the dragon does show up in the actual film, the movie just cuts right there. Sure there was no promise that the dragon would have a significant role in the movie, but you could easily see why the majority of the audience would be disappointed. I feel many people felt this way when they didn't see at least a little sparring or gym session with logan and jj.
I'm not one of these people, and I don't think the show was bad. But I do understand why some people are upset about certain things

I think the reason people think they were lip sinking is because during “Gang Gang” the other singer (sorry I forgot his name) took the microphone away from his mouth and stopped singing a second before his verse ended. The background music played with his voice in it, while the microphone ain’t even near him. He also quickly put it back up to his mouth realising his verse wasn’t over.I’m not a musician or performer but I think having the background song with them in it, made people believe it was lip sinking but it was just for more effect I think. Not trying to say they were just clearing up cause when I saw that, I immediately thought there were lip sinking too.

Music isn’t the problem, the problem is the advertising of it as if it was going to story of his life etc, if he advertised this as a concert he wouldn’t have received this much heat
@@tridibbiswas3824 honestly the ksi show trailer was really clear about what the show was going to be about. I could clearly see the sidemen in costumes and jj’s performances. It was kinda obvious.

The thing is, All he needed to do was rebrand it, I get why he called it a show, he called it a show as in a live concert show but we all saw it like a tv show about our boy, but it was still great and an amazing experience, the wording just needed to be changed so we had an idea of what we was going into, obviously he has to try and keep it somewhat a surprise otherwise there wouldnt be as much anticipation. Overall I see were JJ was going with this but for the sake of a word or 2 imo, it could have had a much better reaction.
I mean he probably still made a profit plus the reddit video was also monetised.
Also after the reddit video all the people complaining took a 180 and instead of being disappointed they just started feeling bad.
So this is definitely still a W for him at the end of the day

I think the problem is that he bragged about how he was going to take down every single ilegal stream. He even tweeted about having eyes everywhere. At the end there was 3 streams with thousands of viewers in CZcams a platform where ksi is big you will think he could takedown the ilegal streams.

I liked the show, but I do agree the interviews would have been sick, and it would have been nice to have some behind the scenes stuff and talking about CZcams, music etc. with people that have collabed and helped him become so big in all of that (eg. Talking about boxing with Vidal, talking about music with Anne Marie)
I think if it was like £5 it would have been ok. But the price was similar to high level sports PPVs.

I watched one of the streams in the next week and honestly I liked it and had no issues with it lol. I'm not easily dissapointed tho and I thought the production was sick so I was happy.
