Son vs Palmer - Curently on Son
They really nailed the prices this season. It's so hard to get a good selection of the regular big guns into the team, gonna be fun to have to work with that restriction. So far im on the no-Haaland team, simply because it allows 2 or 3 significant upgrades elsewhere that i expect should outscore Haaland plus some budget players. Really like the Muniz shout by the way, he's going a bit under the radar currently.
Agreed! It gives us more decisions to make. Whilst I'm currently on Haaland because of Captaincy, I'm also strongly considering going for an additional premium player instead.
I just hope Muniz has reliable xMins come GW1 🤞

im also going with Haaland, salah, but prefer isak and 3-5-2 with 2 5.5 mids but like seeing other Haaland , salah drafts
I like Isak as an option, I will probably reshuffle to get him in if Nunez isn't looking like he'll start GW1.

I dont know if i should start with halaand snd bring him in gw2.. i want to set up a team that will allow me make a switch halaand...
If you go without him, expect to take a -4 when you want to bring him in because it would take at least 2 transfers, and you will only have 2 FT after GW3. That's if you've not spent them elsewhere to optimise the rest of your squad or put out fires for injuries/benchings.
That doesn't go to say you should start with him, but it's easier to start with him and shift him on than start without him and bring him in.

There's a possibility. If he gets the game time in pre-season, then it's an easy like for like swap.
Neither Darwin or Konate are guaranteed starters. Quansah was preferred over Konate at the end of last season, and he fit Slots playing style better than Konate, who's also very injury prone. I think that's a bad pick with little offensive upside too. Darwin will face tough competition from both Gakpo who had a great Euros and Jota. Darwin is a wait and see for me. You don't want to take this many risks in your GW1 team. Are you sure Timber goes straight in from the start?
Go back to the parts in the video when I revealed Konate and Timber, you will hear me say they are just placeholders for the fourth cheapest Arsenal and Liverpool defenders.
As for Darwin, I know he's not nailed, but I will be tracking his xMins during pre-season because his upside is big if he plays.
As Foden played the max amount of Euro 24 matches, I can see Pep resting him at the start of the season.
Seeing as there's a 35 day gap between the Euros final and City's first fixture, I think Pep will want Foden to play against Chelsea away.

Looking at this draft just shows how crippling owning Haaland is. You're forced to do sacrifices in so many positions to fit in a guy, who wasn't even top 3 for points scored last season. Madness...
There's a strong argument to be made about owning Haaland. Double points for Captaincy is huge, especially when he's the optimal Captain roughly half of the time. There are also players that make it possible because they have the potential to offer high value for money.
No matter what narrative you try to frame it in with players that have played much more minutes last season, 217 pts from 2,553 mins and 272 pts from 2,767 mins in the last two seasons is undeniably promising.
This doesn't mean I will lock him in my GW1 team, but I don't think it's straightforward whether it's better to own him or not.
Haaland only played 29 vrs 34 foden and Watkins and saka played Haaland 5 more games would have def only been outscored by Palmer
