- SCRAP BUSTING 2021: Repurposed Quilt Chunky Needlebook Case
I create a really cute needlebook out of my quilt scraps this time. This is great project to use up a ton of lace, trims, buttons and scraps you might have been hoarding. My version has ton of pockets and tuck spots for a complete sewing kit to take wherever you want to go and work on your projects. Its a must have for all hand sewers and a great gift idea!
I will be making these as a regular item in my shop so look for a flip-through video coming soon!

I think these are marvelous and an inspiring project. Slow stitching has certainly caught on and I love any kind of hand sewing projects.

Love this needle book. You put all the thinks I love… the fabric , ribbon or lace and I like the ribbon measuring tape 👍🏻 I just made one to and I added some charms like a sewing machine, spools. But I love your too beautiful! You gave me more ideas. Great job!

I did something similar. I used quilted thrift store placemat for outside. I sewed quart sized freezer bags for inner pockets. This one is prettier but mine works the same. :)

Yep. Isn't that crazy? I hand fed both of them since they were 4 weeks and the vet kept saying they were way bigger then most.

Your needle book came out so beautiful! I’m working on 2 myself as gifts for my daughters to package some special embroidery scissors and rippers I’ve collected and may add that center signature to accommodate more sewing notions. Like you I get lost in these projects. I was making fidget quilts for dementia patients before the pandemic and hope to get back to those soon. I like functional projects like this. I think you would also enjoy making fidget quilts bc you have such a great imagination and would have fun with producing another very useful project.

Machine embroidered yes. I am a newbie at hand embroidery. These things are very addictive for sure.
I like the back to back lace, you teach lots of great embellishment methods. What size is the tiny rotary cutter?

I don't, not yet. Maybe in the future.
